WARNING!

USE
NOTE:
- The base gets hot when in use. Place the machine on a heat-resistant surface.
- Place the machine on a suitable surface, otherwise there is a risk of burning from hot water or oil.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
NOTE:
The first time the machine is used it may smell a little. This is normal and should stop after using it 1 or 2 times. Throw away the first batch of popcorn.
- Carefully unpack the machine and remove all the packaging material.
- Wash the lid and bowl in hot water and washing-up liquid, rinse and then wipe dry.
- Release the paddle from the base by turning the knob anticlockwise. Remove and put the knob on one side.
- Wash the paddle and knob in hot water and washing-up liquid, rinse and then wipe dry.
- Clean the nonstick coating in the pan with a cloth or sponge, moistened with a mild detergent. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and allow to dry.
- Replace the paddle and fit it on the centre tap. Replace the knob. Do not force the knob on the tap, this could damage it.
USE
Popping
NOTE:
• The lid must be on when in use.
- Do not remove the bowl after the machine has started, especially if the popcorn has started to pop.
- Do not shake the popcorn after use.
- Wait until the machine has cooled before using it again.
- The machine gets hot immediately after pressing the switch. Add the popcorn to be popped before starting the machine to avoid overheating.

Put the power switch in the OFF position to switch off the machine. Pull out the plug to cut off the power to the machine.

Place the machine on a level, dry, heat-resistant surface.
- Plug the plug into an earthed power point.
- Pour some vegetable oil in and spread the popcorn evenly over the nonstick coating.
- Put the bowl on and check that the handles on the bowl fit into the base handle.
- Put the switch in the ON position. The popping takes about 5-6 minutes, depending on the amount of popcorn.
- Put the power switch in the OFF position when all the maize has been popped.
Serving
NOTE:
- Wait at least 10–20 seconds after the popping to make sure all the popcorn has popped. Residual heat can cause unpopped popcorn to continue to pop.

Be careful when taking out the popcorn. Always turn it away from your body, otherwise there is a risk of getting burned by the hot steam.

Put the lid firmly on the bowl.
- Use pot-holders or oven gloves and grip the handles on the bowl and base and turn the machine upside down.
- Place the machine with the bowl down on a clean, level surface. Lift up the base a
little to release the steam.
- Serve the popcorn in the bowl, or use another bowl.
- Add salt and pepper to the popcorn, as preferred.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
- Pull out the plug from the power point and allow the machine to cool before maintenance.
- Do not use abrasive detergents or implements on any part of the machine.
- Never wash the bowl, the plastic lid or paddle in a dishwasher.
• Always clean the machine after use. -
After some time the nonstick coating on the base can become discoloured. Remove the discolouring with a soft cloth and lemon juice or vinegar. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and allow to dry.
