  1. Ventilation: Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating. These openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer instructions have been adhered to.
  2. Power Sources: This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the rating label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.

Operating Instructions

The Naxa HD Dash Cam can record video, take photos, preview, and be utilized as a PC camera. Select the function you would like to use and please remember to insert a Memory card before using.

Record Mode

Turn ON the unit by pressing the Power Button or plugging in the car charger. The unit will automatically enter Record Mode and start recording. During this the blue indicator light will be flashing. While the dash cam is recording, press the OK button to Stop recording as the blue indicator will remain on solid.

Camera Mode

After turning the unit on, press the MODE button and select Camera Mode. Press the OK button to snap a photo.

Preview Mode

After turning the unit on, press the MODE button and select Preview Mode. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to select video or photo files. Press the OK button to play or pause playback. Press the MODE button to exit Preview Mode.

Motion Detection Function

Set the "Motion Detection" function to ON in the Video Mode setting. When a moving object is detected, the unit will record video for up to 1 minute and save. If the object is still moving after 1 minute, it will save another 1 minute video clip and continue until the object stops moving. Exit the Motion Detection and it will automatically turn off the Motion Detection function.

Screen Saver

In the System Settings Menu, select ScreenSaver to enable the screensaver and set the screensaver time.

Charging

With the unit connected to the charger, a Red light indicates the unit is charging. The light will turn off when the unit is fully charged.

Connect to a PC

Make sure that the USB options in the System Menu are set to "disk drive." Connect the supplied USB cable from the unit to a USB port of a PC. You will see a removable disk appear on the PC and can transfer video and photo files to your PC. You can also remove the Memory card from the unit and insert in a card reader (not supplied) to your PC to transfer files aswell. To use the dash cam as a PC camera, simply go to the USB settings in the System Menu and change the USB settings to PC Camera. Connect the supplied usb cable and are now able to use the unit as a PC camera.

Date & Time Settings

Select Date & Time settings in the System Menu and press OK to enter the current date and time. Press OK to select the year, month, date, hour and minute. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust. Press the OK button to confirm and exit.

Turn on the unit and press the Menu button to enter Settings. Select the settings item by using the UP/DOWN buttons, now press the OK button to enter the next sub-menu and select a specific function item and press OK the confirm. Press the Menu button to exit. While in System Settings, press the Menu button twice to exit.
