How do I pair the speaker with my phone via Bluetooth?

Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth mode. On your phone, search for devices and select 'HSB402BT_CALIBER'. A voice prompt will confirm successful pairing, and the Bluetooth LED will light up.

Can I use a wired connection instead of Bluetooth?

Yes, you can connect an external device to the stereo RCA input on the active speaker using a suitable cable (not included). Note that a Bluetooth connection will override the wired input, so ensure no Bluetooth devices are connected.

How do I connect the passive speaker?

Connect the passive speaker to the active speaker using the provided 3.5m speaker cable. Plug one end into the output terminals on the active speaker and the other end into the input terminals on the passive speaker, matching polarity (+ to +, - to -).

Is the speaker waterproof?

The speaker has an IPX6 rating for water resistance, but only when the provided covers are installed over the connection terminals. It can withstand water jets but should not be submerged.

How do I mount the speakers on a wall?

Use the included wall mounting brackets. Secure the bracket to a solid surface with three screws (not included). Attach the speaker to the bracket using the ball joint and tighten with the hex key. For outdoor installation, angle the speaker at least 30° downward to prevent moisture ingress.

What should I do if the speaker does not turn on?

Check that the power cord is securely connected to the active speaker and a working wall outlet. Ensure the power switch on the speaker is in the ON position. If it still does not power on, contact Caliber Europe BV dealer for servicing.

Can I adjust the sound quality?

Yes, the active speaker has separate treble and bass controls. Turn the knobs right to increase and left to decrease. Additionally, the built-in 2-band equalizer allows ±10dB adjustment.

What is the maximum distance for Bluetooth connection?

The Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet) in open air. Obstacles like walls may reduce the effective range.

How do I clean the speaker?

Use a soft, dry cloth for regular cleaning. For stubborn stains, slightly dampen the cloth with water only. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Can I use the speaker while charging?

The speaker is mains-powered and does not have a battery. It must be plugged into a power outlet to operate. There is no charging function.

Failure to do so may cause personal injury or damage to the product. Return it to your authorized Caliber Europe BV dealer for repairing.

Product cleaning.

Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.

Temperature.

Ensure that the ambient temperature is between 0^ C and +45^ C before turning on the device.

Maintenance.

If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to your Caliber Europe BV dealer for servicing.

Placement.

Place the product on a flat surface. Provide enough space around the product for sufficient ventilation.

Usage.

Keep the product away from humidity and/or water (or other liquid). Do not locate the appliance in the vicinity of a heat surface or in direct sunlight.

Voltage.

Check the main voltage indicated on the adapter/product rating label in accordance to the local electricity supply, if it doesn't, return the product to the store where you bought it.

Plug.

Remove the plug from the outlet, when the product is unused for a long period of time and during thunderstorms.

Use only supplied accessories.

The HSB 402BT set contains:

Installation

The speakers come with wall mounting brackets and through ball joint can be properly adjustable afterwards (use the provided hex key to lose/fasten the joint).

For wall or ceiling installation, make sure the surface is solid and secure the bracket with 3 screws.

By installing the speakers outdoors or in a damp location, make sure the angle of the speaker is at least 30 degrees (see image). To prevent moisture ingress.

Connection

The active speaker is the left one of the stereo set. This speaker must be connected to a 120-240V wall outlet using the provided 1.8m power cord.

The passive speaker is the right one of the stereo set and must be connected to the active speaker (7) with the provide 3.5m speaker cable (or with a speaker cable with the same (mm²) specifications).

Bluetooth connection

• Turn ON the speaker, a voice will be heard.
  • The speaker is automatically in Bluetooth mode.
• Set your Bluetooth device to 'Search' using the devices' Bluetooth menu.
• Choose 'HSB402BT_CALIBER' from the list.
• When the devices are paired successfully, a voice will be heard and the Bluetooth indication LED will be ON.
• You're ready to start playing music on your device.

Note: To allow signal transmission, the Bluetooth signal source must support the A2DP profile.

AUX-IN:

For the optional wired connection you can connect an external device e.g. MP3/MP4 player to the line-in (9) of the active speaker (cable not included).

Note: that if you want to use an external device through the line-in you have to make sure no devices are connected by Bluetooth. A Bluetooth connection will always overrule the line-in input.
