CLEANING: The product should be cleaned only with a polishing cloth or a soft dry cloth. Never clean with furniture wax, barzinc, insecticides or other volatile liquids since they may correlate the cabinet.
ATTACHMENTS: Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards.
WATER AND MOISTURE: Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry lub; in a well basement, or near a swimming pool, and heike.
ACCESSORIES: Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may fail, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only with a car, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer, or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow them manufacturer's instructions and should use amounting access or recommend by them manufacturer.
CART: A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to over-lum. See Figure A.
VENTILATION: Slide and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, and these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer's instructions have been adhered to.
POWER SOURCES: This product should be operated only from the type of power sources indicated on the marking land. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer for a power company.
LOCATION: The appliance should be installed in a location.
NON-USE PERIODS: The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period of time.
GROUNDINGORPOLARIZATION:
- If this product is equipped with a polarized alternating current fine plug (a plug having one blade wider than the outlet), it will fit into the outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, by reversing the plug, if the plug should still fall to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. - If this product is equipped with a three-wire grounding (two plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin.) it will only fit into a grounding type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Donotofeltherafelyyouprecellisgroundingtypeplug.
POWER-CORD PROTECTION: Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product.
OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING: If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surge and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code. ANSINFPA 70, provides information with regard to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the load-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection/m grounding/electrodes, and requirement/st matching/electrodes. See Figure B.
LIGHTNING: For addac protection for this product during a lightening storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cablesystem. This will prevent damage to the product due lightening and power linesurges.
POWER LINES: An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touchings such power lines or circuits as contact with thermoglibofatal.
OVERLOADING: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cards, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY: Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out part that could result in the electric shock Naversapilliquidofanykindonthproduct.

Congratulations on your purchase of Gemini RMX3 19" 3 channel stereo mixer. This-state-of-the-art mixer features the latest technological advances and is backed by a 1 year warranty, excluding the cross fader. The cross fader is backed by a separate 90 day warranty. Prior to use we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.
CAUTION
- All operating instructions should be read before using this equipment.
- To reduce risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit. Please refer servicing to a Gemini-qualified service technician.
- Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or a heat source such as a radiator or stove.
- Dust, dirt and debris can interfere with the performance of this unit. Make an effort to keep the unit away from dusty, dirty environments, and cover the unit when it is not in use. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth. Avoid solvents or other cleaning detergents.
- When moving this equipment, it should be placed in its original carton and packaging. This will reduce the risk of damage during transit.
- DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.
- DO NOT USE ANY SPRAY CLEANER OR LUBRICANT ON ANY CONTROLS OR SWITCHES.

CONNECTIONS
Ensure that the POWER SWITCH (21) is in the OFF position prior to making any connections. This unit comes with a power cord. Plug into the rear panel POWER INPUT (1) jack before plugging it into a proper power source.
- The RMX3 has 2 stereo outputs located on the rear panel:
- The MASTER RCA OUTPUT (2) connects the mixer to your main amplifier using standard audio cables with RCA-type connectors.

The REC (3) output jacks can be used to connect the mixer to the record input of your recording unit, thus enabling you to record your mix with RCA cables.

The HEADPHONE OUTPUT (18) located at the bottom right hand corner of the RMX3 will accept any headphone with a standard 1/4" connector and or adaptor and will allow you to CUE your music program before you play it, you can adjust the volume and PGM mix of the HEADPHONE below.

The MIC INPUT (7) is located at the top left hand corner of the front of the RMX3 and will accept any standard balanced and unbalanced 1/4" connector. You can control the gain and even set the low's and the high's for the mic below.

The RMX3 has 2 CONVERTIBLE PHONO/LINE (PH/LN) RCA INPUT. These small switches which are located to the right of the RCA inputs for channels 2 and 3 allow you to choose between a PHONO (Turntable) input or a LINE level. When switched to the PH position you may use any Turntable with a magnetic cartridge, remember to connect your ground wire (see GROUNDING SCREW) or there may be a system hum. And when the switch is in the LN position you may connect any line level device as described before (Mp3, CD, Tape etc).
NOTE: CONNECTING A LINE LEVEL DEVICE TO A PH INPUT MAY CAUSE THAT MIXER CHANNEL TO OVERLOAD AND OR DISTORT.
- When using (a) turntable(s), you will need to ground the RCA cable(s) by screwing in the grounding fork(s) to the GROUNDING SCREW (4) located in the rear panel of the RMX3 mixer. Attach each PH ground line to the GROUND THUMB SCREW (4).
CONTROLS

Once all of your connections have been made in the rear panel, turn on the mixer by pressing the POWER SWITCH(21).

The CHANNEL INPUT SELECTOR switches allow you to choose which input will be controlled by that channels corresponding volume FADER. For example on CHANNEL (1) the INPUT SELECTOR allows you to choose between LINE 1 in or LINE 2 in, and on CHANNEL (2) the INPUT SELECTOR allows you to choose between PHONO 1/LINE 3 and LINE 4, and also on CHANNEL (3) the INPUT SELECTOR SWITCH will let you choose between PHONO 2/LINE 5 and LINE 6. (see CONVERTIBLE LINE INPUT) for PHONO 1/ LINE 3 and PHONO 2/ LINE 5 switching.
After you have chosen which input you will use with the INPUT SELECTOR the corresponding CHANNEL FADER (11) will allow you to adjust the volume for that particular CHANNEL.
- CUE: By connecting a set of headphones to the HEADPHONE (18) jack, you can monitor any or all channels.
The CHANNEL CUE ASSIGN (15) allows you to choose which channel you wish to monitor in your headphones by pressing this switch on any channel you will be able to listen to that channels input in your headphones. Multiple CHANNEL CUE ASSIGNs can be pressed to monitor more than on input at a time.
Use the face panel located rotary CUE VOLUME CONTROL (17) to adjust the CUE volume without changing the overall mix. By turning the face panel located CUE/MIX/PGM ROTARY CONTROL (16) counter clockwise you will be able to monitor the assigned cue signal. Slowly turning the control clockwise to middle position allows you to monitor CUE MIX with PGM. Moving the control clockwise to the right allows you to monitor PGM (Main) output.
- CROSS FADER SECTION: The CROSS FADER (12) allows you to mix from one source to another. The CROSS FADER (12) in your unit is removable and if the need arises can be easily replaced.
NOTE: DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE WHILE USING THE CROSS FADER (19). LIGHTLY GLIDE THE CROSSFADER BACK AND FORTH. PRESS-
ING DOWN ON THE CONTROLS CAN BEND CONTACTS AND CAUSE A LOSS OF SOUND.

The 5 BAND GRAPHIC EQUALIZER (19) adjusts the tone of the MAIN OUTPUTS by giving you a choice 5 frequencies (BANDS) to adjust, from lows 60Hz and 400Hz to midrange 1KHz to highs 6KHz and 15KHz you can use the adjustment sliders to higher or lower the 5 separate frequencies till the sound of the MAIN OUTPUT's is appropriate to your listening environment.

The MASTER FADER (13) adjusts the volume of the main music program. The MONO/ STEREO SWITCH (14) allows you to set the main output to mono which is a combination of both LEFT and RIGHT inputs. And STEREO which is a standard LEFT pan RIGHT pan stereo setup.

MIC SECTION: Under the microphone input jack are the microphone controls, which consist of: MICROPHONE VOLUME (8) which allows you to adjust the volume of the microphone signal. The MICROPHONE EQ (9) allows you to control the low frequency and the high frequency of the microphone signal.

VU METER: The RMX3 has a dual mode VU METER that allows you to monitor the decibel levels of the CUE and PGM or LEFT and RIGHT stereo levels of the MASTER output. When the VU MODE SWITCH is set to CUE the VUMETER will display the CUE/PGM level or if set to MASTER the VU METER will display the level of the MASTER output.

CROSS FADER REPLACEMENT
- UNSCREW THE OUTSIDE FACE PLATE SCREWS ON THE LOWER HALF OF THE MIXER. REMOVE THE FADER CAPS AND FACE PLATE.
- UNSCREW THE FADER (B) SCREWS. DO NOT TOUCH INSIDE SCREWS (C). CAREFULLY REMOVE OLD CROSS FADER AND-UNPLUG CABLE (D).
- PLUG IN THE NEW CROSS FADER INTO CABLE (D) AND PLACE BACK INTO MIXER.
- SCREW THE CROSS FADER TO MIXER WITH THE FADER PLATE SCREWS (B).
- REPLACE THE LOWER HALFFACE PLATE.

All GCI products are designed and manufactured to the highest standards in the industry. With proper care and maintenance, your product will provide years of reliable service.
LIMITED WARRANTY
A. GCI warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for One (1) year from the original purchase date. Exceptions: Laser assemblies on CD Players, cartridges, and crossfaders are covered for 90 days.
B. This limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by abuse, misuse, abnormal use, faulty installation, improper maintenance or any repairs other than those provided by an authorized GCI Service Center.
C. There are no obligations of liability on the part of GCI for consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the product or other indirect damages with respect to loss of property, revenues, of profit, or costs of removal, installation, or reinstallation. All implied warranties for GCI, including implied warranties for fitness, are limited in duration to One (1) year from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise mandated by local statutes.
RETURN/REPAIR
A. In the U.S.A., please call our helpful Customer Service Representatives at (732)738-9003, and they will be happy to give you a Return Authorization Number (RA#) and the address of an authorized service center closest to you.
B. After receiving an RA#, include a copy of the original sales receipt, with defective product and a description of the defect. Send by insured freight to: GCI Sound Products Corp, and use the address provided by your customer service representative. Your RA# must be written on the outside of the package, or processing will be delayed indefinitely!
C. Service covered under warranty will be paid for by GCI and returned to you. For non-warrantied products, GCI will repair your unit after payment is received. Repair charges do not include return freight. Freight charges will be added to the repair charges.
D. On warranty service, you pay for shipping to GCI, we pay for return shipping within the continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands will be charged for freight.
E. Please allow 2-4 weeks for return of your product. Under normal circumstances your product will spend no more than 10 working days at Gemini. We are not responsible for shipping times.
