How to Apply Your Skinit®

Step 1: Read all instructions included with your Homelite Inverter Generator and Skinit® before beginning.

Step 2: Completely empty your Homelite Inverter Generator of gas and oil. You should not attempt to apply the skin unless the unit is completely empty.

Step 3: Clean the surface of the generator where the skin will be applied and let dry. Wipe down the surface of the generator where the skin will be applied with a damp cloth. Next, clean the surface with a cloth slightly damp with rubbing alcohol. Be careful not to touch any of the electronic components of the unit.

Step 4: Apply the Skin. After the generator surface is completely dry, you can apply the skin. The unit can be standing up or lying down.

Tips:

• Start on the non-control panel side of the generator with the small square piece and the small circular piece.
  • Take your time when applying large pieces.
• If the skin does not line up correctly, carefully peel it back and try again.
• When applying the skin to curved surfaces, you can gently stretch them to fit the generator.
• As you apply, firmly press the skin from the middle to the edges, pushing any air bubbles out from under the skin using your hands or a credit card.
