Frequently Asked Questions - SJE 1007WH SENCOR

How do I assemble the Sencor SJE 1007WH juicer?
Place the motor base on a flat surface. Insert the pulp container, then fit the filter basket onto the motor shaft. Attach the lid and lock it with the locking arm until it clicks. Position the juice jug under the spout.
What types of fruits and vegetables can I juice?
This juicer works well with soft and hard produce like apples, carrots, oranges, celery, and leafy greens. Cut food into pieces small enough to fit the feeding tube. Remove pits and hard seeds.
How do I clean the SJE 1007WH after use?
Unplug the appliance. Disassemble all removable parts. Rinse immediately under running water and clean with the included brush. Most parts are dishwasher safe (top rack). Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.
Can I juice whole fruits without cutting?
No, you should cut fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces to avoid jamming. The feeding tube diameter is about 60 mm, so large items like whole apples need to be quartered.
Why is the juicer vibrating or moving during operation?
Ensure the appliance is on a flat, stable surface and the suction feet are clean. Also check that the pulp container is properly inserted and not overloaded. Reduce the amount of produce if needed.
What does the two-speed setting do?
Use low speed (1) for soft fruits like berries and tomatoes, and high speed (2) for hard vegetables like carrots and beets. This optimizes juice extraction and prevents burning.
Is the juice jug graduated?
Yes, the 1 L juice jug has measurement markings for easy monitoring of juice quantity. It also features a froth separator to reduce foam.
Can I use the pulp for other recipes?
Absolutely! The separated pulp can be used in soups, breads, compost, or even to make vegetable patties. It's a great way to reduce waste.
What safety features does the SJE 1007WH have?
The juicer has a safety locking arm that prevents operation if the lid is not securely locked. Also, non-slip feet keep it stable. The motor automatically stops if overloaded.
Where can I find spare parts or the user manual?
You can download the user manual from the official Sencor website or from manual repositories. For spare parts, contact Sencor customer service or authorized dealers.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before first use

1) Wash all detachable parts in warm water and dry them completely.
2) Place the juicer on a stable, even surface that is not slippery.
3) Plug the power cord into an appropriate electrical socket (220-240 V).

Assembling the product

1) Insert the juice collector into the juicer as shown in the illustration. Make sure that the edge of the collector is even with the motor unit.

2) Insert the stainless steel strainer into the collector. Make sure that the strainer is firmly seated on the drive shaft. When properly placed, the upper edge of the strainer should be below the level of the upper edge of the juice collector.

3) Cover everything with the lid and press it down into the proper position.

4) Use one hand to press the lid downward, and at the same time pull the safety latch over it so that the lid will be secured in the correct position (you will hear a click).

5) Tilt the juicer slightly forward and place the pulp container onto it — first slide the upper end in, and then press the lower end toward the juicer.

6) Now insert the plunger into the filling port. Notice that for easier movement, the plunger is has a groove that fits onto a projection in the upper part of the filling port.

Using the product

1) Under the spout, place a large enough container for the juice.
2) Prepare the ingredients for processing. Thoroughly wash all ingredients before using. After washing, cut excessively large pieces into smaller ones. You will find other processing tips in the "RECIPES" section (see below).
3) Turn the control switch to the "1" or "2" position, depending on the type of fruit or vegetables being processed. For softer ingredients, use speed 1 (e.g., grapes, blueberries, melons, raspberries, tomatoes, etc.). For harder ingredients use speed 2 (e.g., pineapple, celery, carrots, beets, apples, etc.)
4) Insert the prepared ingredients into the filling port and, using the plunger, carefully begin pressing them downward onto the spinning stainless steel strainer. Do not use too much pressure. Ingredients juice slowly, so let them have as much give as possible.
5) During the juicing process, the juice will go into the juice container, while the pulp will be separated and collect in the pulp container. You can empty the pulp container during the juicing process — turn the switch to the OFF position and carefully empty the container. Before you restart the juicing process, put the pulp container back in place.
6) After processing the ingredients, turn off the appliance and wait until the spinning strainer has completely stopped.

RECIPES

Before starting work, read the following tips. They will help you get the most efficiency and flavour when juicing, and they will also make your work easier.

  • Use only fresh fruit and vegetables, because they contain more juice. Especially appropriate are pineapple, red beets, celery, apples, cucumbers, carrots, melons, tomatoes, oranges and grapes. Don't use overripe fruit and vegetables, because the juice won't taste as good.
  • You don't have to cut or slice most fruit and vegetables (such as apples, carrots and cucumbers), because they will go into the filling port whole.
  • With root vegetables (such as carrots or beets), make sure that you have removed all dirt and greens and washed the vegetables thoroughly.
  • Before juicing, you must remove all pits and hard seeds from fruits that have them (e.g., nectarines, peaches, mangoes, apricots, plums and cherries). The pits would make the juice too bitter.
  • You do not need to remove thin skin or peels (e.g., apples and pears). Thick peels must be removed (e.g., on oranges, pineapple and raw beets). Always remove the white rind from citrus fruit — it tastes bitter.
  • When making apple juice, keep in mind that the thickness depends on the type of apples you are using. The juicier the apple, the thinner the juice. Apple juice turns brown very quickly. You can slow this process by adding a few drops of citrus juice.
  • Starchy fruits (such as bananas, avocados and figs) are not appropriate for this juicer. Before adding these types of fruit to the juicer, process them with a mixer or food processor.
    • You can also process leaves and stalks (such as lettuce) in this juicer.
  • If you decide to store the juice in the refrigerator, do not leave it there for more than one day. It may go sour after that.
    • If you decide to freeze the juice, do not leave it for more than one month.

Tomato juice

Juice 1 kg of fresh, ripe tomatoes and serve immediately. For flavour, add some celery stalks and fresh pepper.

Apple juice

Juice 4 large apples with the stems removed, and serve immediately. To vary the flavour, you can combine more than one type of apple. For added sweetness and vitamins, add a carrot.

Island mix

Juice 1 middle-sized pineapple, 1 papaya, 1 large orange and 1 peeled guava. Add 1 mango (after processing in a mixer). Serve right away.

Carrot and fruit juice

Juice 4 large carrots (remove the tops and bottoms, and wash them) with 2 sweet, washed apples (with the stems removed). Serve right away.

Pineapple juice

Juice 4 pineapple slices, 1 one middle-sized orange, and serve immediately.
