Frequently Asked Questions - F-YCT10V PANASONIC

How do I start the dehumidifier?
Plug in the unit, open the louver manually, and press the Power Off/On button. To stop, press the button again.
What do the different modes do?
Press the Mode button to switch between Continuous (for laundry drying) and Auto (maintains humidity around 57%). In Continuous mode, the unit switches off after 24 hours if no buttons are pressed.
How do I empty the water tank?
When the Full tank indicator flashes, the unit stops. Slowly remove the tank with both hands, empty the water, and reinsert it gently until it clicks. Ensure the float is not removed.
Can I use continuous drainage?
Yes. Disconnect the power, remove the tank, open the drain pipe interface, remove the sealing device, connect a hose (internal diameter 15 mm), and reinsert the tank. Avoid bending the hose.
How often should I clean the air filter?
Clean the air filter every two weeks. Remove it, use a vacuum cleaner or wash with mild detergent, dry completely, and reinstall. Do not operate with a wet filter.
What should I do if the unit is tilted?
All LED indicators will flash. Disconnect the power, place the unit upright, wipe any spilled water, let it stand for half a day to dry, then restart. This prevents damage from water inside.
Why is the dehumidifier not operating?
Check if the power plug is inserted, the water tank is full, the tank is correctly installed, or if the unit is tilted. Also ensure the room temperature is between 5°C and 35°C.
Can I use the unit in a closet?
No. Do not use in a confined space like a closet; insufficient ventilation may cause overheating. Instead, place it in the doorway with clothing not blocking air inlets.
What maintenance is needed for long-term storage?
Disconnect the power, empty and dry the water tank, reinstall it, and store the unit upright in a place not exposed to direct sunlight. Do not lay it down.
What does the warranty cover?
The unit comes with a warranty card included separately. For issues, contact the manufacturer or authorized service agent. Do not attempt repairs yourself.

PANASONIC F-YCT10V - Control panel and Functions - 2

Laundry

● Continuous dehumidify can be used to help dry wet laundry.

Auto dehumidify

- Humidity sensor detects the ambient humidity level and keeps indoor humidity at the most suitable level for the human body; the dehumidifier operates during high ambient humidity and stops at a low ambient humidity. (But the fan motor will continue to operate). (around 57%) The “Continuous (dehumidify)” function can be selected to adjust the humidity if you feel uncomfortable.

Note

  • Do not let water from clothing drip onto the unit if your laundry is still damp.
  • When the water level of the tank reaches full waterline (approximately 2.5 litres), the unit will stop operating automatically (Full tank indicator flashes) (Page 8).
    ● The unit will automatically stop operating when tilted status is detected (All LED flashes) (Page 12).
  • In continuous mode the dehumidifier will switch off if no buttons have been pushed for 24 hours.
