Frequently Asked Questions - 350MX Baumr-AG

How do I adjust the cutting height on the Baumr-AG 350MX?
Adjust the roller assembly on both sides of the mower. The bottom hole gives the lowest cutting height, and the top hole gives the highest. Refer to the manual for detailed steps.
How do I adjust the blades if the cut is uneven?
Turn the mower upside down. Use the front screws to move the cutter bar away from the blades, and rear screws to move it closer. Adjust in small increments (1/16 turn). Check by inserting paper between cutter bar and reel blades; it should slice evenly.
What maintenance does the mower require?
After each use, remove dirt and grass with a dry cloth or brush. Apply oil or lubricant (e.g., WD40) to cutting surfaces, reel axle, and wheels. Do not wash with water. Store in a dry place.
Can I use the mower on wet grass?
No. Never mow when the grass is wet enough to be slippery. It is unsafe and may cause poor cutting results.
Is the mower safe to use on slopes?
Be extra careful on slopes. Walk slowly, never run. Cut at right angles to the slope. Ensure good footing. Do not use on steep or uneven slopes.
What is the maximum grass height the mower can handle?
The mower can cut grass up to 47 mm height. For best results, cut regularly and avoid very long grass. Multiple passes may be needed.
How do I assemble the handle and catcher?
Attach the lower handle set to the spigots on the side plates. For the catcher, insert the tube into the bag hole, insert the pole into the tube, snap plastic grooves over the pole, and attach the metal hook. See the assembly diagrams in the manual.
Where can I download the user manual?
The manual is available for free download at notice-facile.com in PDF format. Search for Baumr-AG 350MX.
What safety precautions should I take?
Read the entire manual. Wear protective equipment (gloves, eye/ear protection). Keep hands and feet away from moving blades. Clear lawn of foreign objects. Do not allow children to operate without supervision.
Does the mower have a warranty?
The manual does not specify warranty details. Contact the retailer Baumr-AG or check your purchase documentation for warranty information.

Operation

Cutting Height Adjustment

These units can be adjusted to offer a corresponding cutting range by adjusting the roller assembly. Keep in mind that the same adjustment must be performed on both sides of the mower.

The bottom hole corresponds to the lowest cutting height and the top hole of the roller bracket results in highest cutting height.

The lowest cutting position calls for an even lawn. Therefore, it is advisable to adjust the cutting height to the individual lawn and length of grass required.

high low roller bracket & adjuster

low high roller bracket & adjuster

Blade Adjustment

The blades have been preadjusted before leaving the factory. Misalignment can occur resulting in blades that are too loose or too tight. If this happens, you will notice a rough, uneven cut or a hard pushing mower. The cutter bar should be adjusted. The front screws move the cutter bar away from the blades while the rear screws move the cutter bar towards the blades.

Adjusting the screws or knobs is a very sensitive procedure. 1/16th of a turn is considered a major adjustment. Be sure to adjust the cutter bar on both sides.

Adjusting Screws

Checking Adjustments

  1. Turn mower upside down.
  2. Insert a piece of paper (i.e., writing or newspaper) between the cutter bar and the reel blades, and carefully turn the reel blades by hand.
All blades should slice the paper evenly the entire length of the cutter bar while the reel turns smoothly.

Maintenance

Baumr-AG 350MX - Maintenance - 1

ATTENTION: Surface corrosion will occur on metal surfaces over time and the rate of oxidation depends on factors such as proximity to the ocean and humidity or condensation of water vapour on metal surfaces. To mitigate this, WD40 can be used to remove surface corrosion then, when applied periodically, it will prevent rust from forming.

• Water should not be used to wash under any circumstances.
• After each use, use a dry cloth or brush to remove dirt and grass on the blades, rollers, and wheels.
- Keep the mower in dry conditions. Don't let the mower be expose to the outdoors for a long time after each use.
- We suggest a routine application of oil or lubricant (i.e., WD40). This should be applied to all cutting surfaces, the cutting reel axle shaft and wheels. A well-cared-for lawn mower will last long and operate more efficiently.
