How to reset the PFS3409-4GT to factory defaults?

Press and hold the Reset button on the front panel for about 10 seconds until the system LED blinks rapidly. Release the button; the switch will reboot with factory settings.

How to access the web management interface?

Connect your computer to any port. Set your PC to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP). Open a browser and enter 192.168.1.100 (default IP). Default login: admin / admin.

Does the switch support PoE on all ports?

Yes, all 9 ports support PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at). The maximum PoE budget is 96W, shared across ports.

How to configure VLANs?

Go to VLAN > 802.1Q VLAN in the web GUI. Create VLAN groups and assign ports with tagged or untagged membership. Enable Port-based VLAN if needed.

What is the maximum power per PoE port?

Each PoE port can deliver up to 30W (PoE+). The total power draw from all ports must not exceed the 96W budget.

How to update the firmware?

Download the latest firmware from Dahua's support site. In the web GUI, go to System > Firmware Upgrade, choose the file, and click Upgrade. Do not power off during the process.

What type of cable is recommended?

Use Cat5e or higher twisted pair cable for Gigabit connections. For PoE, ensure the cable supports at least 24 AWG and is rated for power delivery.

Does the switch support link aggregation?

Yes, it supports IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation. Configure up to 4 groups with up to 4 ports per group in the web GUI under Port Management > Link Aggregation.

How to troubleshoot no PoE output?

Check that the powered device (PD) is PoE-compatible. Verify the total power draw is below 96W. Ensure the switch is connected to a power source. Try a different port or cable. Reset the switch.

Can the switch be mounted on a wall?

Yes, it comes with wall-mount brackets. Screw the brackets to the switch sides, then mount on a wall with appropriate anchors. Ensure ventilation holes are not blocked.

1.1 Introduction

9-port Gigabit switch is a layer-two industrial switch. It provides 4 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet RJ45 ports, 4 1000Mbps optical ports and 1 10/100/1000Mbps uplink port.

3 Installation Guide

The device supports DIN rail mount.

Lay the switch hook on the rail, press the switch to make the buckle get into the slide, which is shown in Figure 3-1.

The device supports the slide width of 38mm.
