Frequently Asked Questions - C310 NG Levenhuk

How do I connect the Levenhuk C310 NG to my computer?
Connect the microscope to your computer using the provided USB cable. The microscope should be powered on. Install the Levenhuk ToupView software from the included CD or download it from the official website. The software will automatically detect the device.
Can I use the microscope without batteries via USB alone?
Yes, the Levenhuk C310 NG can be powered directly through the USB port when connected to a computer or a USB power adapter that provides at least 5V DC. The batteries are optional for portable use.
What is the maximum magnification achievable?
The optical magnification range is 10x to 200x. When using the digital zoom in the software, you can achieve higher zoom levels, but image quality may decrease. The practical maximum for clear observation is around 200x.
How do I take a photo or video with the microscope?
Launch the Levenhuk ToupView software. Use the camera icon to take a snapshot or the video icon to start/stop recording. Images are saved to the computer or directly to the microSD card if inserted.
What type of microSD card is compatible?
The microscope supports microSD cards up to 32 GB. Use a Class 10 or higher card for smooth video recording. Insert the card into the slot on the side of the unit before powering it on.
How do I clean the lens and LED lights?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or lens cleaning solution. Gently wipe the lens in a circular motion. For the LED lights, use a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Why is the image blurry or not sharp?
Adjust the focus knob on the side of the microscope until the image becomes sharp. Also ensure the lens is clean and the object is within the focus range. For transparent objects, adjust the brightness of the LED lights.
Can I use the microscope for soldering inspection?
Yes, the Levenhuk C310 NG is suitable for inspecting solder joints, PCBs, and other small electronic components. The adjustable stand allows you to hold the microscope steady above the work area. Use the measurement software to check dimensions.
What is the warranty period and how do I claim it?
Levenhuk typically offers a lifetime warranty for optical elements and a limited warranty for electronics. Contact your local dealer or Levenhuk customer support with proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse or unauthorized repairs.
How do I calibrate the measurement software?
Place the included calibration ruler under the microscope. In the Levenhuk ToupView software, select the calibration tool and draw a line on the known length (e.g., 1 mm). Enter the actual length. The software will now accurately measure objects at that magnification.
