How do I install the fan in a double hung window?

Lift the handle and snap the Window Grabber into slots under the handle. Center the fan in the window, pull out the Expander Panels to fit securely in the window track, and lock them by tightening the 4 screws. Lower the window and secure it behind the Window Grabber on top of the fan.

Can I use the fan as a floor or table fan?

Yes. Lock the four included feet into place by hooking them into the slots and pulling outward until they snap. Ensure the feet are not attached when using the fan in a window.

How do I reverse the airflow direction?

Set the Reversing Switches to the desired positions: INTAKE brings fresh air in, EXHAUST takes stale air out. For air exchange, set one switch to INTAKE and the other to EXHAUST. Always turn off the fan before adjusting the switches.

How does the Comfort Watch™ Thermostat work?

The thermostat automatically turns the fan on and off to maintain a comfortable room temperature. Adjust the knob to your desired level. If the fan doesn't operate, turn the thermostat knob to its highest position to check operation.

Can I use an extension cord with this fan?

Avoid extension cords if possible. If you must use one, use the shortest UL-listed cord. Never use a single extension cord for more than one fan, and never plug the fan into a power strip, cord reel, surge protector, or outlet-type air freshener.

1. This Fan must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden or wet atmospheres where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
2. This Fan is rated for use as a Window Fan, however, we recommend that during rain, this Fan be removed from the window.
3. Completely assemble Fan, according to instructions, before connecting to power supply.
   This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. Match wide blade of plug to wide slot, Fully insert. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.

This plug is a safety feature. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged. 1. Lift Handle and snap Window Grabber into Slots under Handle.
2. We recommend keeping window screen in place.
3. Center Fan in window, pull Expander Panels out to securely fit in window track.
4. Lock Expander Panels in place by tightening 4 Screws.
5. Lower window and secure behind Window Grabber on top of Fan.

FOR VERTICAL, SLIDER-TYPE WINDOWS, and CASEMENT WINDOWS:

1. Lift Handle and snap Window Grabber into Slots under Handle.

2. We recommend keeping window screen in place.

3. Position the Fan in the window with the Switch facing the center of the opening.
4. Fan must fit securely against the inside edge of the wind opening.
5. Slide the sliding window to meet the edge of the Fan. The side edge of the window must fit securely behind the lip of the Fan Housing.
6. For windows larger than 38", build a plywood panel to fit the open area and secure to Fan and window frame.
7. On casement windows wider than 12" it will be necessary to build plywood frame around Fan and then secure frame to Fan and window frame.

OPERATION (Figure 2)

1. Carefully remove the Fan from the plastic bag and the carton.
   WARNING

Be sure that the plug fits tightly into outlet.

When plugs fit loosely into receptacles, they may slip partially or completely out of the receptacle with only the slight movement of the attached cord. Receptacle in this condition may overheat and pose a serious fire hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape, the fire hazard is even greater.

1. Make sure the Power Switch is in the OFF position.
2. Plug into 120V AC outlet.
3. Set Reversing Switches to the desired positions. INTAKE - brings fresh air in

EXHAUST - takes stale air out.

To use as an air exchanger, set one Reversing Switch on INTAKE and one Reversing Switch on EXHAUST.
WARNING: MAKE CERTAIN FAN IS TURNED OFF BEFORE ADJUSTING THE REVERSING SWITCHES,
5. Slide the Power Switch to desired speed. (HIGH, LOW).
6. Adjust the Comfort Watch™ Thermostat so that the Fan cools the room to a comfortable level. The Comfort Watch™ Thermostat will automatically turn the Fan off and on as the room temperature changes.

THERMOSTATICALLY CONTROLLED FAN

This fan is operated with a thermostat. If the fan will not operate when a speed setting has been selected, check for operation by turning up the thermostat knob to its highest position.

FEET INSTALLATION (Figure 3)

When using Fan as Floor or Table Fan, lock four (4) Feet into place by hooking Feet into Slots and pulling outward until the Feet snap in place.
