Frequently Asked Questions - 145308.01 Enkho

How do I descale my Enkho iron?
Mix equal parts water and white vinegar, fill the tank, heat the iron, and press the self-clean button. Repeat with clean water. For regular maintenance, descaling every 2 months prevents mineral buildup.
What type of water should I use?
Use distilled or demineralized water to avoid calcification. Tap water can be used occasionally but may shorten the iron's lifespan.
Why is my iron leaking water?
Leaking can occur if the temperature is too low for steam production, the tank is overfilled, or the anti-drip valve is dirty. Set to a higher temperature and do not exceed the max fill line.
How does the auto shut-off feature work?
The iron automatically turns off if left untouched for 8 minutes on the heel (vertical) or 30 seconds on its soleplate. This safety feature prevents accidents.
Can I use the iron for vertical steaming?
Yes, it supports vertical steam for removing wrinkles from hanging garments, curtains, and upholstery. Press the steam burst button while holding the iron upright.
What does the self-clean function do?
The self-clean function flushes steam and hot water through the soleplate to remove scale and debris. Activate it every 2-3 months for optimal performance.
Is the iron safe for delicate fabrics?
Yes, the adjustable temperature settings allow you to select low heat for synthetics or silk. Always check fabric care labels first.
How do I clean the soleplate?
Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth when cool. For stubborn residue, use a paste of baking soda and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners that damage the non-stick coating.
What is the warranty period?
Enkho typically offers a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Keep your proof of purchase. Warranty does not cover misuse or descaling neglect.
