How do I turn on the calculator?

The calculator turns on automatically when exposed to light or when any key is pressed. If using battery backup, press the ON/C key.

How do I change the battery?

Slide off the battery cover on the back. Replace the old LR44 battery with a new one, observing polarity (+/-). The solar panel will still provide power in bright light.

The display is dim. What should I do?

Ensure the calculator is in a well-lit area for solar power. If the battery is weak, replace it. The LCD may also have contrast adjustment; check for a small dial on the side.

How do I use the memory functions?

Press M+ to add displayed number to memory, M- to subtract, MR to recall, and MC to clear memory. Memory is retained even after auto shut-off.

What does 'E' on the display mean?

'E' indicates an overflow error or division by zero. Press ON/C to clear the error and reset the calculator.

How do I set the decimal point?

Slide the F (floating decimal) switch to the desired position: F for floating, or fixed to 0, 2, or 4 decimal places.

What is the Grand Total (GT) key for?

Press GT to display the cumulative total of all calculations since the last GT clear. Press twice to clear GT.

How do I clean the calculator?

Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, chemical cleaners, or abrasive materials. Avoid getting moisture inside.

Why does the calculator turn off by itself?

The calculator has an automatic power-off function that activates after about 7 minutes of inactivity to save battery. Press any key to turn it back on.
