When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following.

1. Read all instructions carefully.

2. Before using the unit, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the convenience outlet (230Va.c.).

3. Do not use a two-way socket with another appliance.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS:

HOW TO USE:

If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use, by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.

1. Position the power base on a flat, heat resistant surface, as close as possible to a power outlet.

2. Follow cord routing in power base according to exit patterns. Proper cord routing will result in the power base flat when kettle is placed in base. Do not operate kettle if power base is not flat. If power base is not flat, remove kettle from power base and repeat cord placement instructions.

3. To fill with water, press the lid button to open the lid. Fill the electric kettle with water below the "MAX" water level mark.

NOTE: Do not exceed the "MAX" water level mark indicated on the electric kettle and make sure to close the lid.

1. Place the kettle into the power base. Plug the electric cord into an electric outlet. Turn the switch ON by pushing down the on/off switch. The indicator light will light up indicating that the unit is in progress. The water will heat and the electric kettle will switch off automatically when the water boils.

NOTE: Ensure the ON/OFF switch is clear of obstructions and the lid is firmly closed. The electric kettle will not turn off automatically if the ON/OFF switch is constrained.

1. Carefully lift the kettle from the power base and pour the hot water.
2. The kettle will not re-boil until the on/off switch is switched ON after 25 seconds to allow the kettle to cool down, then it can be switched ON again.
   Note: Maximum capacity of kettle is 1.7L.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

1. Unplug the unit from the convenience outlet before cleaning.
2. The body of the kettle may be cleaned using a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials to avoid scratches.
3. Wash the filter with soap and water.
4. Refer to the instruction below in cleaning the unit using the following:

- Soap and Water

a. Combine soap and water. Pour into the Kettle up to the maximum level for 1 hour.
b. Discard the solution.
c. Fill the kettle with clean water up to "max" level and boil.
d. Repeat several times until the odor of the soap has been removed.
e. Rinse thoroughly.

• Vinegar

a. Combine one part of vinegar and water. Pour into kettle up to the "max" level Switch ON and wait for the unit to turn OFF.
b. Leave the solution inside the kettle for overnight.
c. Discard the solution. Fill the kettle with clean water up to "max" level and boil again.
d. Repeat several times until the odor of vinegar has been removed.
e. Rinse the kettle thoroughly.
