How do I clean the coffee maker after use?

Unplug and let it cool. Wash all detachable parts (carafe, filter, funnel) in hot soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.

How can I descale the coffee maker?

Mix water and household descaler at a 4:1 ratio (or use citric acid). Fill the tank to max level, place the carafe on the warm plate, and run the appliance until about one cup has dispensed. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then run the rest. Repeat if needed. Rinse by running clean water through at least 3 cycles.

Can I use other liquids besides water?

No, this appliance is designed to boil water only. Heating other liquids voids the warranty and may cause damage or injury.

What is the auto shut-off time?

After brewing completes, the keep warm function will turn off automatically after 40 minutes. If you do not manually turn it off, the appliance will shut off after 2 hours from the completion of brewing.

How do I set the delayed start timer?

First, set the current clock by pressing PROG once and adjusting HOUR/MIN. Then press PROG again to set the TIMER (desired start time). Press ON/OFF twice to activate AUTO mode. The appliance will start brewing at the set time.

Why is my coffee not hot enough?

Ensure the keep warm plate is clean and the carafe is properly placed. If you serve coffee long after brewing, it may cool down. For best taste, serve immediately. The keep warm function maintains temperature, but not for extended periods.

What should I do if the carafe is cracked?

Do not operate the appliance with a cracked carafe. Replace it with an identical part. Using a damaged carafe may cause leakage or breakage due to heat.

Can I use a paper filter instead of the permanent filter?

The appliance is designed to use the included permanent filter. Using a paper filter may not fit properly and could cause overflow. Stick to the recommended filter.

How much coffee powder should I use?

Use one level spoon of coffee powder per cup of water. Adjust according to personal taste. For a full carafe (about 10 cups), use 10 spoons.

What does the 'AUTO' indicator mean?

The AUTO indicator lights up when the programmable timer is set. The appliance will start brewing automatically at the programmed time. Once brewing starts, the indicator turns off and the RUN indicator comes on.

1. Always turn off the coffee maker and disconnect the power supply when not used. 咖啡机不使用时，必须关掉电源。

2. When pouring freshly boiled coffee, the inclined angle of carafe should not be more than 45 degrees from the vertical position. You should pour the coffee slowly until the carafe is empty. Otherwise the coffee in the carafe will rush to the bottom of the carafe lid, and the coffee will flow out from two edges of the lid and cause scalding.

Removing Mineral Deposits / 清除沉积物

1. To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the mineral deposits left by the water regularly, according to the water quality in your area and the frequency of use. 为了让您的咖啡机维持高效能，您需根据所在区域的水质及使用的频率，定时清理用水所残留的沉积物。
2. Fill the water tank with water and household descaler to the maximum level. (the ratio of water and descaler is 4:1, for details refer to the instruction of household descaler purchased) 将水及除垢液倒入水箱直至最高水平。

3. You can use citric acid instead of the household descaler. 您可使用柠檬酸取代家用除垢剂。
4. Place the carafe on the keep warm plate. 将咖啡壶放回保温盘上。

Cleaning & Maintenance / 清洗與保养

1. After percolating the equivalent of one cup, switch off the appliance by pressing the on/off button twice. 释放了相等于一杯咖啡的份量后，再次按下开启/关闭按钮，则机器将会关闭。

How to use / 使用方法

Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add water into water tank to the max level and brew water for several times without coffee powder, then discard the water. Clean all detachable parts thoroughly with warm water.

1. Open the water tank lid and fill the water tank with drinking water. The water level should not exceed MAX level as indicated on water gauge.

2. Put the funnel into funnel holder, then place the filter in the funnel, and make sure it is assembled correctly. 放入滤网并确保放到位。注：本机附带一可拆式漏斗，将其旋至最左边然后向上提，

3. Add proper coffee powder into filter. Usually a cup of coffee requires a spoon of coffee powder, but you may adjust according to personal taste, and then close the funnel holder. 按一杯咖啡一平勺咖啡粉计算，加入适量的咖啡粉到滤网内。也可根据自己的口味，适量增加或减少咖啡的量。
4. Place the carafe on the keep warm plate. 将咖啡壶放在保温盘上。
5. Plug the power cord into the outlet. The LCD will display "12:00" and ":" will flash, but all the button lights will not illuminate.

How to use / 使用方法

Note: The coffee you get will be slightly less than the water you have added, as some water is absorbed by coffee ground.

1. When the process is finished, if you do not want to serve immediately, keep the power supply of the coffee maker on, the coffee can be kept warm in the warming plate. The appliance will be cut off power automatically after 40 minutes if it has not been manually disconnected at the completion of brewing. Programming to Delay the Start of Automatic Brewing / 延迟自动冲煮程序设置

If you do not want the coffee maker to start operation immediately, for example now it is 5:10 pm, you hope that the coffee maker will automatically start at 8:15 in the evening, first follow steps 1 to 5, then you can set the automatic start function as follows:

Press PROG button one time, the word CLOCK is showed at the up-right corner on display. 按下PROG按钮一次，显示屏的右上角会显示CLOCK一词。

1. CLOCK Press the HOUR and MIN button continuously to set the present time (real clock), that is 17:10 (See fig. 1). 连续按下HOUR和MIN按钮以设置当前时间（实际时钟），即17:10（见图1），

1. Press PROG button once again and the word TIMER shows on up-left corner of display. 再次按PROG按钮，显示屏的左上角将显示TIMER字样。

2. TIMER 20:15 (fiq 2 见图 2) Set the delayed starting time by pressing HOUR and MIN button repetitively, that is 20:15 (see Fig. 2). 重复按 HOUR 和 MIN 按钮设置延迟的启动时间，即 20:15（见图 2）。

3. Press the ON/OFF twice, the indicator of AUTO will illuminate. The LCD will display the current clock. You may see the automatic start time by pressing PROG. 按开/关两次，“自动”指示灯将点亮。液晶显示屏将显示当前时钟。通过按PROG，您可能会看到自动开始时间。

Note: You may cancel the automatic start function by pressing ON/OFF once to stop machine, or pressing ON/OFF button twice to start brewing immediately. If you want to change the automatic start time, only following the above 1-5 steps again.

When the time is due, the indicator of AUTO will go out, while the indicator of RUN turn on and the unit starts brewing. The appliance will be cut off power automatically after two hours if it has not been manually disconnected at the completion of brewing.

- After opening a package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.

- For optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind them just before brewing. 一杯理想的咖啡，需采用咖啡豆，现磨现煮。

- Do not reuse coffee powder, since this will greatly reduce coffee flavor. Reheating coffee is not recommended, as coffee is at its peak flavour immediately after brewing. 不要使用已经冲煮过的咖啡粉，这会大大降低咖啡的口感。不建议重新将咖啡加热，因为咖啡的最佳口感既冲泡后立即享用。

- Clean the coffee maker when it is oily, due to over-extraction. Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed black coffee are due to the extraction of oil from the coffee powder. 若冲煮被过度提取的咖啡豆，会产生油脂，需清洗咖啡机。研磨后的咖啡粉被冲煮后，会产生小油滴悬浮在黑咖啡上。
