IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• ALWAYS turn off and unplug the humidifier before filling or cleaning the water tank.
- DO NOT use the humidifier if it has been dropped, damaged, left outside, dropped in water, is defective or not working properly.
• DO NOT use the humidifier if the cord or plug looks damaged.
- DO NOT use the humidifier near gas appliances, fireplaces, stoves, candles, or heating devices.
- DO NOT use the humidifier in an area with insect repellents, burning incense, toxic fumes, flammable dust or oxygen tanks. Always leave at least 1.5 m of clear space from any oxygen being administered.
- PLACE the humidifier in a clear space that allows the mist to flow freely, away from appliances that are sensitive to water.
• DO NOT touch any part of the humidifier or plug with wet hands.
• DO NOT run the power cord under furniture, other appliances, carpet, or cover with rugs, runners or floor coverings.
• ALWAYS tuck away the power cord to prevent tripping accidents.
• DO NOT use the power plug on wet or damp surfaces.
• DO NOT put the humidifier in water or liquids.
• DO NOT use the humidifier outdoors.
• DO NOT use for commercial purposes. This appliance is for household use only.
• DO NOT put fingers or any objects into the mist outlet.
- DO NOT use a defective humidifier or attempt to repair/adjust any electrical or mechanical functions, this may cause danger and void the warranty.
• DO NOT let children or people with reduced physical or mental capabilities use or clean the humidifier.
- DO NOT let children play with this appliance or packaging including plastic bags. Children must be supervised around the humidifier to help keep them safe.
• DO NOT sit on the humidifier or put any objects on top of the unit.
• DO NOT block/obscure the air inlet and mist outlet.
• DO NOT fit the humidifier with a different power supply unit.
- It is recommended to NOT use the appliance with an extension cord to avoid electrical shock or spark.
- TURN OFF the humidifier when it is not being used. Hold the plug and remove it from the electrical source. Drain the water and clean the water tank.
• DO NOT overfill the water tank, as this may cause electric shock.
• DO NOT use the humidifier in wet environments.
• ONLY fill the water tank with purified or distilled water.
• DO NOT place the humidifier near sources of heat, such as stovetops, ovens, or radiators.
• DO NOT cover the nozzles while the humidifier is on. Doing so may damage the humidifier.
- DO NOT place the humidifier directly on floors, carpets, or rugs. ONLY place the humidifier on water-resistant surfaces.
- REMOVE the water tank from the base before moving the humidifier.
- THIS appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- IF the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly, qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

PRODUCT FEATURES
Hybrid Humidification:
With warm and cool mist options, it moisturises and refreshes the air in your home or office all year around. This Arovec humidifier uses advanced ultrasonic technology to turn water into a therapeutic mist.
Top-Fill Design:
Large water tank opening at top of the humidifier is a unique feature of the AroMist 550 that allows easy refilling and cleaning of the water tank.
Warm Mist:
This optional feature is designed to experience real warm mist in the air with three different heat levels and perfect for winter season.
Rotatable Mist Nozzle:
The nozzle on top of humidifier is adjustable all around, so you can easily point it in the direction you would like the mist aimed.
Removable Water Tank:
The water tank can be easily removed for refilling and cleaning.
Auto Mode:
The optional Auto mode feature of this humidifier keeps the machine operating automatically to maintain relative humidity within the range of 50% to 65% as the best and recommended humidity level.
Auto Shut-OFF:
The humidifier automatically turns off when running out of water to avoid damage to the unit.
Remote Control:
It features a remote control to easily operate and control the machine conveniently.

Follow the below steps to use the AroMist 550 humidifier easily and effectively.
ADD WATER:
Remove the top cover from the humidifier. Fill the water tank with cold or room-temperature water. [Figure 1.1]

Optionally add 5 to 10 drops of essential oil into the oil tray. For best results, it is recommended to use pure essential oil. [Figure 1.2]

SETTING UP THE REMOTE CONTROL:
Pull the plastic film from the battery compartment. The battery is now active, and you can use the remote control. [Figure 1.3]

CHANGING THE BATTERY:
- Pinch and pull the tab to remove the battery compartment.
- Take out the old battery. [Figure 1.4]
- Replace it with a new 3V CR2025 battery, Making sure it is positioned correctly considering positive and negative polarities.
- Put the battery compartment back in place.

Plug the humidifier into an electrical outlet in compliance with AU standards, the LED display indicators light up for 2 seconds along with Bi sound. The machine will be under standby mode.

ON/OFF
Start the machine by pressing the ( ) , its default setting will be on Medium mist level (Med), with Warm Mist off and Default Set Humidity at 60% RH (Relative Humidity).
The LED will display as follows:
For the first time power On, the transducer will keep working for 10 seconds even if the humidity has reached the value that is set.

MEMORY FUNCTION:
If the machine has not been unplugged at the last shutdown, the operating mode before shutdown will be memorised after the machine is turned on again, except the Timer/ Sleep mode/ Child Lock function.
WATERLESS MODE:
The machine will enter waterless mode if there is no water in the tank. The lights up, with a "Bi" sound every second, after 5 times, the machine will automatically shut down.

SET HUMIDITY
Press ( Ⓐ ) to adjust the desired humidity level. The humidity setting interval is "5%" therefore the preset humidity will rise by 5% with each press (range: 30% to 90%). Once the humidity reaches 90%, pressing the button again will return the machine to a non-humidity setting mode. If the button is pressed again, the preceding description will be repeated.
After humidity is set and the environment humidity reaches the set value, machine will stop producing mist with display showing the current functions. When the air humidity is 5% lower than the set humidity, the machine will restart working again.
During the first 10 sec after the machine is powered on, the machine will not be controlled by the set humidity. If the air humidity reaches or exceeds the predetermined humidity after 10 sec, the cool and warm mist functions stop, but the fan continues to operate.

MIST LEVEL
- There are three mist level options: low (1 bar), med (2 bar), and high (3 bar).
• Each tap will toggle to the next mist level option.

WARM MIST
- There are three warm-mist heat settings, which display numerically as 1 (for Low Heat), 2 (Medium Heat), and 3 (High Heat). [Table 1]
• Each tap will toggle to the next warm-mist setting. Continue pressing the button will turn it off and repeat the preceding warm-mist settings.
NOTE: The humidifier might require a 15-minute warm-up period before emitting warm mist.
WARNING: The mist may be hot. Avoid placing your hands, face, or any exposed skin directly over the nozzle when using warm mist. [Figure 2.1]

TIMER
You can set timer for up to 12 hours.
- Tap ( ) repeatedly to select a time.
- The timer display will automatically count down as time passes.
• The humidifier will automatically turn off once the timer has finished counting down. - To cancel the timer, tap ( ) repeatedly until the timer displays 0H on the panel.

AUTO MODE
- The ( Ⓞ) denotes Auto-Mode. Tap ( Ⓥ) to activate the Auto Mode.
- The machine will operate automatically to maintain the relative humidity within the range of 50% to 65%.
• The Timer and Warm Mist can be optionally used with Auto Mode. - Changing the mist level will cancel the Auto Mode function.

* The machine automatically shuts down when RH exceeds 65%. It resumes operation when RH drops below 50%.

SLEEP MODE
For entering sleep mode, press ( ) which will turn off the LED display and silence the sound, but have no effect on current setting. Under sleep mode, you may configure the mist level, humidity, timer, and warm mist with the LED display on, but there will be no sounds; once the settings have been made, the LED display will turn off.

CHILD LOCK
- In the Child Lock mode, the control panel buttons will deactivate, and the Child Lock indicator displays.
- Press and hold ( Ⓞ ) for 2 seconds to enter Child Lock mode.
- Press and hold again ( ⓔ ) for 2 seconds to exit the Child Lock mode and activate the control panel buttons.

GENERAL TIPS
- DO NOT place the humidifier on carpet, towel or soft surface, which will block the air inlet and may damage the humidifier. For more efficiency, place the humidifier on a flat surface, 60 cm away from the floor and 30 cm away from the wall.
- DO NOT place the humidifier on wooden furniture as it may damage by water.
- DO NOT put the humidifier on an unstable surface e.g., bed or couch. [Figure3.1]

- The most comfortable relative humidity is between 40–60 %. Set the humidity level as needed. [Figure 3.4]

- Using tap water with a high mineral content (hard water) in any humidifier can cause fine white dust to be emitted. To avoid this, use distilled, demineralised or cold boiled water. Room temperature water is recommended, do not fill with hot water. - DO NOT move the humidifier while it is still running and when water tank is full to prevent water spillage. [Figure 3.6]

USING ESSENTIAL OILS
Enjoy the ultimate aromatherapy experience using your favourite essential oil (oil not included in the package).
HOW TO ADD AROMA/OIL:
- Take off the tray from the humidifier's side. [Figure 4]
- Add 5 to 10 drops of essential oil into the oil tray. DO NOT exceed the suggested amount of oil on the sponge.
- Insert the tray back into the humidifier. The aroma feature activates automatically when the tray is reinserted into the humidifier. If you're not using the humidifier for a long period of time, remove the tray, empty the sponge, and insert the tray back into machine.

Please follow below recommendations for proper use of essential oils to avoid product malfunction/damage or any harm to the users.
- Never pour oil into the water tank or main housing directly; doing so will damage the machine.
• Use 100% natural essential oil.
• DO NOT spill essential oil on your skin. If you do, wash it off with water immediately. - DO NOT swallow the essential oil or contact with eyes. If you do, wash your eyes, and seek medical help immediately.
- Pregnant women, elderly people, young children, or people with chronic diseases may be more sensitive to a particular fragrance. Stop using any essential oil that makes you feel unwell.
- Keep the essential oil tightly closed and store it in a dark, cool place, out of the reach of children and pets.
- Carefully observe the expiration date of the essential oil. The standard expiration date is one year from first opening for most oils. However, citrus oils have a 6-month expiration date.

ABSORPTION PAD REPLACEMENT:
The mineral absorption pad helps in reducing mineral buildup inside the humidifier, especially on the heating element. the absorption pad should be changed if it remains stiff after washing. The humidifier comes with extra absorption pads.
Follow the steps below to change the absorption pad.
- Remove the cover and then the water tank.
- Remove the mist outlet and then pour water via the indent in the housing.
- Remove the old pad and replace the new absorption pad in place [Figure 5.1].
- Replace the mist outlet, water tank and cover.

AROMA PAD REPLACEMENT:
The aroma pad should be changed if it remains stiff after washing. The humidifier comes with extra aroma pads. Simply open aroma box from left side of the machine, remove the used aroma pad and replace it with the new one [Figure 5.2].

CLEANING & CARE
Arovec recommends basic & deep cleaning regularly and daily water changes of AroMist 550 to prevent bacterial growth.
DO NOT use any harsh cleaning agents e.g., bleach or alcohol to clean any part of the humidifier.
BASIC CLEANING:
Arovec recommends basic cleaning of the humidifier every 3 days.
- Turn OFF and unplug the humidifier from the power source.
- Remove and wash the top cover.
- Remove the water tank. Drain water from the tank and base. Pour water from the base carefully as corner of base face down. Flooding the electrical components can damage the device. Do not let water inside the air inlet/outlet or near the indicators.
- Rinse the water tank and base with cool and clean water.
- Wipe down and dry all parts of humidifier with a soft cloth.
DEEP CLEANING:
Arovec recommends deep cleaning the humidifier every 2 weeks and before/after storing it for long periods of time. You should also deep clean if there is any mould or scale build-up inside the water tank or base. To properly clean your humidifier, Arovec recommends the following steps.
- Turn off and unplug the humidifier from the power source.
- Remove and wash the top cover.
- Remove the water tank. Drain water from the tank and base. Pour water from the base carefully. Flooding the electrical components can damage the device. Do not let water inside the air inlet/outlet or near the indicators.
- Fill the water tank about halfway. Add 1 teaspoon of undiluted distilled white vinegar into the water tank and allow it to soak.
- Place the water tank back onto the base. Let the vinegar and water solution enter the base. This will help to loosen mineral scale/build-up on the ultrasonic disk, water floater and base of the water tank. Leave it for 20-30 minutes.
- Remove the water tank from the base. Drain the solution from the water tank and base. Wipe water tank, ultrasonic disk, floater and base with a soft cloth to remove loosened scale.
- Flip the water tank over and clean the mist tube with a soft brush.
- Rinse the water tank and base thoroughly to remove any sediment, dirt and smell of vinegar.
- Wipe down and dry all parts of humidifier with a soft cloth.
ABSORPTION PAD AND AROMA PAD CLEANING:
- Remove the absorption pad from the heating element and pull out the aroma box to remove aroma pad.
- Run warm water over the pads to rinse them.
- Utilize a fresh cloth to dry the pads.
- Place the aroma pad back inside aroma box.
- Reinstall the absorbing pad into the base.
NOTE: When using the Warm Mist function, to prevent scalding make sure always keep it in a secure spot out of the reach of children.

STORAGE
If not using the AroMist 550 for an extended period of time, the following points must be considered for safe storage:
- Ensure that the AroMist 550 is turned off and unplugged.
- Carefully clean the humidifier.
- Make sure the humidifier is entirely dried after cleaning.
- Wrap the humidifier in plastic packaging and store it in a dry place to avoid moisture damage.
NOTE: Store the AroMist 550 in an upright position. Do not store anything on the top of the humidifier.

DISPOSAL
To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, separate the unneeded humidifier and its related accessories from other types of waste.
Ask your local council where to dispose of your humidifier and its related accessories. You should not throw your humidifier and its related accessories away with the daily normal household waste.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
Arovec products are designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards. Your product is covered for parts and labour (excluding filters) for 2 years, which includes 1-year standard warranty and 1-additional year upon registration at arovec.com.au/warranty (free of charge) within 14 days from the date of purchase.
This warranty disclaimer applies to all products purchased via the website www.arevec.com.au (hereinafter "Products") or a third party seller authorised by Arovec.
NOTE: When the product is purchased from an authorised third party seller, for warranty claim, return and replacement of a defective product, the inquiry should be lodged on the related third party seller.
(1) Warranty Against Defects
1.1 For Brand-new Products:
We provide a 12-month standard warranty against defects with the Products, from the date of purchase.
We provide an optional additional free 12-month extended warranty against defects with the Products (resulting in a 24-month warranty against defects with the Products, from the date of purchase).
In order to claim the additional 12-month extended warranty, you must register your Product (free of charge) online at www.arovec.com.au, within 14 days of the date of purchase. While registering, make sure that the related data entry including the date of purchase is accurate.
In the event of a defect with the Product, you may be entitled to have the Product replaced in order to be entitled to a replacement Product, you must:
- immediately stop using the Product; and
- notify us of the defect during the warranty period.
in order to claim a replacement Product, you must contact us using the details at the CUSTOMER SUPPORT section, to notify us of the defect, providing your proof of purchase and warranty registration confirmation as well as your contact details.
You may either:
- return the product for our further investigation; or
- send us a video of the defective Product, which demonstrates to our reasonable satisfaction that the Product is defective and undertake to safely dispose of the defective Product. For safety reasons, you must not continue to use the defective Product.
in order to claim a replacement Product, you must contact us using the details at the CUSTOMER SUPPORT section, to notify us of the defect, providing your proof of purchase and warranty registration confirmation as well as your contact details.
You may either:
- return the product for our further investigation; or
- send us a video of the defective Product, which demonstrates to our reasonable satisfaction that the Product is defective and undertake to safely dispose of the defective Product. For safety reasons, you must not continue to use the defective Product.
Upon receipt of the defective Product, or a video of the defective Product, we will inspect it. If the defect is the result of a manufacturer fault, we will determine if the fault requires a replacement or repair and either send you a replacement Product or effect a repair.
This warranty against defects is in addition to any other rights and remedies to which you may be entitled under Australian law.
To Clarify:
What is covered by the warranty:
- The repair or replacement of your Arovec product (at Arovec's discretion) if the product is found to be defective due to faulty manufacture. Arovec reserves the right to determine if the fault requires a replacement or repair.
• Packaging and instructions of a faulty product may also be replaced if damaged. - This warranty is valid for using your personal use of your device within Australia only.
What is not covered by the warranty:
- Using the products for commercial purposes, or anything other than normal domestic personal use.
• Use of the product outside Australia.
• Accidental damage or faults caused by negligence, misuse, vandalism or neglect. - Damage or faults caused by not following the instructions in the user manual.
• Unsupervised use by children under the age of 18.
• Repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Arovec or an authorised agent.
• Any other conditions not listed above, are not covered by Arovec warranty.
1.2 For Renew Products:
A renewed Product, which is purchased from a seller that is authorised by Arovec, is only covered under six months warranty and is not eligible for the free warranty extension.
1.3 For Replacements:
Replacement of a brand-new Product is only covered by the one-year standard warranty from the date of replacement arrangement and is not eligible for the one-additional year
free warranty extension.
Replacement of a renewed Product that is purchased from a seller and is authorised by Arovec is only covered by six months warranty from the date of replacement arrangement and is not eligible for the free warranty extension.
(2) Australian Consumer Law:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
(3) Disclaimer:
You are solely responsible for evaluating the Product and determining whether it is fit for your purpose.
You acknowledge and agree that Product is not safe for use by children.
You acknowledge and agree that working with the Product is dangerous and carries the risk of electric shock, burns, lacerations, other injuries and death.
You acknowledge that you use the Product at your own risk and that you are responsible at all times for evaluating whether or not it is safe to use the Product.
(4) Limitation of Liability:
In addition to the requirements set out in clause 1 of this warranty and disclaimer document, the warranty provided under that clause will not apply:
- If a defect with the Product results in any way from some act or omission by you in relation to the appropriate care, maintenance and/or use of the Product; or
- If a defect with the Product results from ordinary wear and tear; or
- If you fail to follow our or the manufacturer's instructions for care, maintenance and/or use of the Product; or
- If you are unable to provide proof of purchase.
Except as otherwise provided by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury which may arise in any way from the use of the Product by you or by any other person.
Except as otherwise provided in this warranty and disclaimer, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions and warranties implied by custom, law or statute, and we expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind including but not limited to implied warranties that the Product is fit for a particular purpose.
You hereby agree that we are not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental loss or damage which may result from your use of the Product.
Except as otherwise provided by law or as otherwise set out in this warranty and disclaimer, our liability to you shall be limited to the cost of replacement of the Product, together with your reasonable costs of postage and/or delivery in connection with your returning of the Product.
(5) Indemnity:
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us and our officers, directors, employees, contractors, members, agents and licensees harmless from and against any and all claims, charges, actions, liabilities, investigations, demands and similar including but not limited to any costs, losses, damages whether direct, indirect, consequential or special and all legal fees resulting from your use of the Product, including but not limited to any third party claims.
