How do I measure DC voltage with the VMA447?

Set the rotary switch to the DCV range (e.g., 200m, 2, 20, 200, 600). Connect the black lead to COM and red lead to V/Ω. Touch probes to the circuit in parallel. Read the value on the display.

What is the maximum voltage the VMA447 can measure?

The VMA447 can measure up to 600 V DC or AC (CAT II). Exceeding this may damage the meter or cause injury.

How do I test continuity?

Set the rotary switch to the continuity/buzzer symbol (usually a diode/sound icon). Insert black lead into COM and red into V/Ω. Touch the two ends of the circuit. The buzzer sounds if continuity exists (resistance < ~100 Ω).

How do I replace the battery?

Turn off the meter and remove the test leads. Unscrew the battery compartment screw on the back. Lift the cover. Replace the 9V battery (6F22) with a new one. Replace cover and screw.

What does 'OL' mean on the display?

OL stands for 'Overload' or 'Over Limit'. It indicates that the measurement exceeds the selected range. Switch to a higher range to get a reading.

Can I measure current without breaking the circuit?

No, for current measurement (DC/AC A), you must connect the meter in series with the circuit. For high currents (>200 mA), use the 10A jack.

How accurate is the VMA447?

Accuracy depends on the range. Typically for DC voltage it is ±(0.5% + 2 digits) or better. Refer to the manual for specific tolerances.

What do the different jacks on the front do?

The COM jack is for the common (black) lead. The V/Ω jack measures voltage, resistance, and continuity. The mA jack measures up to 200 mA. The 10A jack measures up to 10 A.

Does the VMA447 have an auto power-off feature?

Yes, the VMA447 typically has auto power-off after about 15-30 minutes of inactivity to save battery. To wake it, turn the dial or press a button.

How do I clean and maintain the multimeter?

Wipe the casing with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives. Keep the terminals clean and dry. Store in a protective case when not in use.

6. Replacing the Silicon Tube

Gently press on the two clips and remove the pump module from the motor.

To open the pump module, gently press on the other two clips and remove the pump cover.

Take out the rollers and the tube. This tube can be replaced by our VMA448.
