Frequently Asked Questions - NVR-4431 NV-335 NEVIR

How to adjust the temperature in my Nevir fridge?
The temperature is controlled by a mechanical thermostat inside the refrigerator compartment. Turn the dial to a higher number for colder temperature, usually a setting of 3-4 is recommended for normal use.
Why is my fridge not cooling properly?
Check that the thermostat is set correctly and the door seals are clean and intact. Ensure there is enough space around the fridge for air circulation (5cm clearance on sides and back). If problem persists, contact technical support.
How often should I defrost the freezer?
Defrost the freezer when the ice layer reaches approximately 5-6 mm thickness. This is manual defrost: unplug the fridge, remove all food, and let ice melt. Do not use sharp tools.
Can I reverse the door opening direction?
Yes, the door is reversible. Follow the instructions in the user manual to disassemble and reattach the door hinges to the opposite side.
How to clean the refrigerator?
Unplug the fridge first. Remove all shelves and drawers. Wipe interior with a soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Why is my fridge making unusual noises?
Normal sounds include the compressor humming and refrigerant gurgling. If you hear loud knocking or rattling, ensure the fridge is level and not touching the wall. Also check that internal parts are properly placed.
How to change the interior light bulb?
Unplug the fridge. The light bulb is located under the thermostat cover. Remove the cover and replace the bulb with a max 15W E14 type screw bulb. Do not use higher wattage.
What should I do if the fridge stops working?
First check the power cord and circuit breaker. Ensure the thermostat is not set to '0'. If it still doesn't work, contact customer service. Do not attempt to repair the compressor yourself.
Is it normal for the sides of the fridge to get hot?
Yes, the sides get warm during normal operation because the condenser dissipates heat. This is necessary for the cooling process. Ensure ventilation is adequate.
How to save energy with this fridge?
Place the fridge away from heat sources (oven, direct sunlight). Keep door open as little as possible. Set thermostat to a moderate setting (e.g., 3-4). Regularly defrost and clean the back to improve efficiency.
