Frequently Asked Questions - 10304 KORONA

How do I descale my Korona 10304 coffee maker?
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water and fill the tank. Run a brew cycle without coffee grounds, then run two cycles with fresh water to rinse.
What type of filter does this coffee maker use?
It uses a permanent filter (included) or standard paper filter No. 4.
Why is my coffee weak?
Possible reasons: too little ground coffee, too coarse grind, or machine needs descaling. Use about 1 tablespoon per cup and a medium grind.
How do I clean the carafe?
Wash the glass carafe with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive pads to prevent scratches.
Can I brew tea in this machine?
Technically yes, but it's not recommended as coffee oils may affect taste. Use a paper filter and choose an appropriate tea.
Why does my coffee maker leak?
Check if the carafe is properly positioned, the filter basket is correctly inserted, or the anti-drip valve is stuck. Clean and reposition.
How long does a brew cycle take?
A full carafe (1 liter) takes approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
Does the keep-warm plate stay on permanently?
No, it has an automatic shut-off after 2 hours for safety.
Can I use pre-ground coffee?
Yes, any medium-ground drip coffee works. Avoid very fine or coarse grinds.
Where can I buy spare parts?
Check the Korona website or authorized service centers. Common parts like carafe and filter basket are available online.
