Instructions
Important safety rules
Read before using
When you use the pressure cooker, you must always observe the following safety rules.
1 Read all the instructions.
2 Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handles.
3 Special care must be taken when the cooker is used near children.
4 Do not place the cooker in a hot oven.
5 Special care must be taken when moving the cooker full of hot liquid.
6 Do not use the cooker for anything other than its specific use.
7 This appliance cooks under pressure. Inappropriate use may cause burns. Make sure that it is closed properly before use.
See instructions for use.
8 Do not fill the cooker more than 2/3. When cooking foods which increase in volume during cooking, such as rice or pulses, do not fill the unit to more than 1/3 of the total. See instructions for the preparation of food.
9 Do not cook foods such as: apple sauce, blueberries, barley, oatmeal or other cereals, peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti. These foods tend to foam and to bubble, which may cause blockage of the safety valve.
10 Always make sure that the safety valves are not obstructed before use.
11 Do not open the pressure cooker until the unit it has cooled completely and there is no residual pressure inside. See instructions for use.
12 It is very important for the lid's safety opening to be facing away from the user.
13 Make sure that handles are well fastened and properly positioned.
14 Do not use the cooker to cook only oil.
15 Never change an original part of the cooker; this could affect the proper functioning of its safety elements. If any part does not coincide with the description in this manual, take it to a technical service centre so that it can be checked. Always use original spare parts.
16 Keep these instructions.

Characteristics of the pressure cooker
Double pressure
The pressure cooker has a valve which allows it to be used under two different pressures:

Low pressure 1 - fast cooking (0,5 kg/cm ^2 )
High pressure 2 - super fast cooking (1 kg/cm ^4 )
The selection of the pressures depends on the type of food, on the system with which it is to be used -diet or conventional- and on the speed at which you wish the food to be cooked.
Low pressure: Diet cooking, Fast cooking.
High pressure: Traditional cooking. Super-fast cooking.
Triple diffuser base
To gain the maximum from the heat, the cooker has a sandwich diffuser base made using: stainless steel - aluminum - stainless steel. This special diffuser base absorbs and transmits, spreading the heat evenly from gas, electric, glass-ceramic, or induction hobs.
Made of high-quality 18/10 Stainless steel
The cooker is made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel, to guarantee that it will last forever.
Triple safety system
The cooker has a triple safety system. The safety valve will act rapidly releasing the steam from the cooker through the outlet holes in the top part of the handle. (figure 1)
A second valve acts releasing the steam from the cooker and increasing the pressure to slightly above that reached with the action of the first valve, or in the unlikely event that it did not work.
Similarly, the carefully designed lid of the cooker and its seal constitute a third safety system. If both of the safety valves were not work, the rubber seal would expand, coming out of the groove of the lid, thus releasing the pressure from the cooker through the side away from the position of the user and leaving them safely protected. 1 HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
1.1 Opening the lid

natural_image
Two-step diagram showing a mechanical device with arrows indicating motion, no text or symbols present.Place the button in the OPEN-ABRIR position and turn the upper part of the handle to the right, until the point on the lid coincides with the other point which is in the centre of the body handle. In this position, lift the lid vertically and the cooker will open.
Never try to open it without first
making sure that the steam has been released completely.
1.2 Closing the cooker

Place the lid on the body of the cooker, making sure the point on the lid coincides with that on the lower handle. Press the lid gently against the body. Turn the lid handle to the left until the stop on the lid coincides with that on the body. Fix the button in the CLOSED-CERRAR position.
1.3 First use
Before using the cooker for the first time, we recommend cleaning all the parts well with hot water, liquid detergents, and non-scratching dishcloths. Do not put the lid in the dishwasher, even if you can so do with it attached to the body.
2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION OF FOOD:
2.1 Filling
Never fill the cooker to more than 2/3 of its capacity.
The minimum amount of liquid necessary for the cooker to be pressurized is 1/4 liter.
If you have to cook vegetables which may foam, do not fill the cooker to more than 1/3 of its capacity, to avoid any possible blocking of the safety valve. We recommend starting with heat source at its maximum, so that the cooker can reach the correct pressure as quickly as possible.
If you cook with gas, the flame must be regulated so that it does not pass round the sides of the cooker.
If you cook with electricity, glass-ceramic, or induction, the hob should, if possible, be slightly smaller than the diameter of the bottom of the cooker.
2.2 Cooking each food at the indicated pressure
Select the pressure level indicated for each type of food to be cooked.
Place the cooker on the heat source and select High Pressure 2 o Low Pressure 1.
When steam starts to come out with sufficient intensity through the upper part of the handle, reduce the heat.
This is when the recommended cooking times begin.
2.3 Opening the cooker

natural_image
Line drawing of a cooking pot with a faucet and lid, no text or symbols presentBefore opening the cooker, release the pressure completely.
To do this, move the pressure selector in this position 📋. There will be a strong flow of steam through the valve, which will reduce as the interior pressure dissipates.
To reduce the pressure more quickly,
you can cool the cooker by pouring a small stream of water on to the lid. When the seal is worn out, rapid and violent decompression can occur, which means that this should always be carried with the utmost caution.
Only when there is no pressure within cooker, can you proceed to open it in the manner described above.
Opening it with pressure inside can cause injury.
When cooking purées, the contents of the cooker should be swilled before opening the lid, to prevent spattering from air bubbles which may have remained inside.
2.4 Cleaning
After each use, clean the cooker with a detergent which is not very abrasive.
Do not put the lid in the dishwasher.
2.5 Cleaning the valve.
After each use, we recommend cleaning the valve thoroughly to avoid possible incrustations and accumulations of lime-scale or grease which could affect its proper functioning.
To clean the valve, lift the top and rise both it and the handle.
The valve's opening and those of the top should be cleaned regularly with a needle to remove remnants of food or lime-scale.
2.6 Storing the cooker
After cleaning it and drying it with a cloth, it is advisable to keep the cooker with the lid off, leaving the lid upside-down, so that the rubber seal is aired and can dry completely.
3 OTHER SUGGESTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE
You are using a fast and safe pressure cooker. Nevertheless, you should take into account that all pressure cookers are technical products, whose parts suffer the natural wear and tear resulting from use. Therefore, you must take care of it meticulously and keep the following advice in mind:
3.1 If steam escapes through the rubber seal, this indicates that the seal is dirty, worn, or not in place correctly. If too much steam comes out through the valve during cooking or if it comes out violently, reduce the heat.
If it continues to come out, make sure that there is not too much liquid in the cooker.
3.2 Make sure that the safety valve is functioning correctly, change it before using the cooker again.
3.3 In case of replacement of any part of the cooker, make sure that the replacement part is original, otherwise the manufacturer will not be responsible for its proper functioning and he guarantee will be invalid.
Keep these instructions
Cooking times
The cooking times must be counted from the moment when the cooker reaches the proper pressure, which is when steam starts to come out through the valve.
