Please read these instructions completely and in particular the safety instructions before using your appliance and follow these instructions carefully. Keep these instructions and the associated image section in a convenient location for reference over the entire service life of your appliance and be sure to include it if you pass the appliance on to another user.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- After unpacking, check the appliance and accessories for completeness according to the appliance drawing and inspect for any transport damage. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact a customer service centre authorised by IMETEC.
- Packaging materials are not toys! Keep plastic bags away from babies and small children as they pose a suffocation risk!
- Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage information on the type plate matches the specifications of your power network. The type plate is located on the back side of the appliance.
- Do not use adapters, power strips and/or extension cords. If the power plug does not match your socket, have the socket replaced with a matching socket by a qualified technician.
- This appliance may only be used as a vacuum cleaner according to the purpose for which it was designed. Any other use is considered improper use and should be considered dangerous. In this case, the liability of the manufacturer is voided.
- Do not use the appliance for vacuuming up:
- glowing ashes, cigarette remains or the like
- liquids, such as liquid carpet cleaner
- sharp or hard objects, such as nails or large glass shards

fine dust, such as cement or printer toner

Never operate the vacuum without an inserted dust bag, dust container or filter.
- Always disconnect the power plug from the power supply before cleaning or servicing the appliance and while it is not in use.

When using an electrical appliance, always follow these basic rules:
-
Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
-
Never use the appliance in bare feet.
-
When disconnecting the power plug, always pull on the plug and not on the cord or the appliance.
- Make certain that the power cord is not pinched or damaged by hot surfaces.
- Never subject the appliance to moisture or weather influences (rain, sunlight).
- Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources (e.g. radiators).

Watch children to make certain they do not play with the appliance.

Persons (including children) who are incapable of operating the appliance safely due to their physical, sensorial or mental abilities, inexperience or lack of knowledge must not be allowed to operate the appliance without supervision or instruction by a competent person.
- Do not use the appliance if the housing or the power cord are damaged or if the appliance no longer functions properly. If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by a customer service centre authorised by IMETEC in order to prevent associated dangers.
- Please note that a new appliance may initially give off a certain odour. This is no cause for concern and will go away after a short time. Ensure good ventilation of the room.
- When the appliance is finally taken completely out of operation, it is recommended that the power cord be cut off so that the appliance will no longer function. Before doing so, disconnect the plug from the power supply and remove all dangerous parts in the event that children use the appliance for playing.

During all assembly work, the appliance must be switched off and the power plug disconnected from the power supply!
- Remove the fastening screw (2) of the hand grip (1) and pull it out.
- Connect the hand grip (1) to the appliance body, making certain of a precise fit.
- Insert the fastening screw (2) and tighten it with the fastening nut (2A) [Fig. B1].
- Now select the combination brush (4) or the suitable accessory (14) for the surface to be cleaned and insert it into the vacuum connection (6) of the appliance.
ACCESSORIES [Fig. C]
Combination brush for carpet / bare floor (4):
Set the combination brush to the floor type with the selector switch (5) [Fig. C1]:
- Selector switch (5) setting A (brush extended): for bare floors,
- Selector switch (5) setting B (brush retracted): for rugs and carpet.
Your appliance is equipped with the following accessories:
Parquet brush (14A): Special brush with soft bristles for cleaning of marble and parquet floors,
Crevice nozzle (14B): Use for corners and crevices, such as radiators, moulding, roller shutters,

Unwind the power cord (7) completely. To do this, turn the upper cord hook (3A) down [Fig. D1].
Operation with an entirely or partially wound up cord can result in dangerous overheating!
Insert the plug of the appliance into the power socket and switch the appliance on with the ON/OFF switch (8) (position I).
With the electronic power regulation (9), you can individually adjust the suction power of the appliance. Select the following settings [Fig. D2]:
Minimum or intermediate setting: for rugs and carpet
Maximum: for smooth floors and parquet
After finishing your work, switch off the appliance with the ON/OFF switch (8) (position O) and pull the plug out of the socket.
Wind the power cord (7) around the two cable hooks (3A, 3B) when storing the appliance [Fig. D1].

Before opening the appliance, switch it off and pull the power plug from the socket!
Before using the appliance again, make certain that all parts cleaned with liquid are completely dry!
Cleaning the appliance:
Clean the appliance as needed with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or other aggressive or sharp-edged cleaning aids. These could damage the surface.
Cleaning the combination brush (4):
With the motor switched on, run your hand over the brush to loosen clinging dust and lint. These are then directly vacuumed up.
Cleaning the dust collection system (13):
If the suction power of your vacuum cleaner declines or the level indicator of the dust collection system (12) indicates that it is necessary, the dust collected by the appliance must be removed.
Notes:
If the power of your vacuum does not improve after cleaning the dust collection system, this could result from the other filters in the appliance being very dirty.
In this case, the filters must be replaced. Do as shown in the figures marked with the symbol ().
Clean the dust collection system as described below and take note of the figures in the image section.
Replacing the paper dust bag (13A)
- Press the button (10) and open the appliance flap (11) [Fig. E1].
- Remove the dust bag (13A) from the appliance as shown in Figure [E2] and dispose of it as household waste.
- Place a new paper dust bag (13A) with the cardboard card into the holder (13B). Make certain that the tube connector of the appliance protrudes precisely into the opening of the dust bag.
- Then turn the holder (13B) down onto the cardboard card of the paper dust bag [Fig. E3].
- Return the appliance flap (11) before using the appliance again.
Note: After every 10th dust bag change, the exhaust filter (16) and the motor protection filter (17) must also be replaced.
Replacing the motor protection filter (17)
- Press the button (10) and open the appliance flap (11).
- Pull the motor protection filter (17) out of the holder and replace it with a new filter insert [Fig. E4].
- Reassemble the appliance and close the appliance flap (11) before starting the appliance again.
Replacing the exhaust air filter (16)
- Press on the catch of the exhaust air screen (15) and remove it [Fig. E5].
- Remove the exhaust air filter (16) and replace it with a new filter insert.
- Put the exhaust air screen (15) back in place and allow the catch to snap into place.

DISPOSAL

The product packaging consists of recyclable materials. Dispose of these in an environmentally appropriate manner.

In accordance with EU directive 2002/96/EC, the appliance must be disposed of properly at the end of its service life. This involves the recycling of valuable substances contained within the appliance and reduces the impact on the environment. For more information, contact your local disposal company or the store where you purchased the appliance.
SERVICE AND WARRANTY [Fig. F]
If repairs are required or for purchasing replacement parts contact a customer service centre authorised by IMETEC (see enclosed After sales service sheet).
Indicate the product type and identify the ordered parts based on Figure [F].
A manufacturer warranty is provided for the appliance. Details can be found on the enclosed warranty sheet.
