To preheat, select a preset or manual mode with desired temperature and run the air fryer empty for 3-5 minutes. Some presets (e.g., fish, steak, pizza) recommend preheating before adding food.
Can I use aluminum foil or wax paper in the air fryer?
Yes, you can use aluminum foil or wax paper to line the basket or wrap food, but ensure it does not block airflow. Trim foil longer than basket base for easy removal.
Why is my food undercooked?
Possible causes: too much food overcrowding the basket, incorrect time/temperature setting, or using frozen meat without thawing. Ensure food is in a thin layer and shake/flip halfway through cooking.
How do I clean the air fryer?
Unplug and let cool. Wash the basket and tray with warm soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. For deep cleaning, run a mixture of 1 cup water, 2 tbsp vinegar, and lemon juice at 200°C for 30 minutes, then wipe the heating area with a dry cloth.
What do the error codes mean?
E1, E3, E4 indicate component failure; contact Oster customer service. E2: unplug, let cool, then plug back in. If persists, call customer service.
