Frequently Asked Questions - WPKW2200W Witt

How do I descale the coffee maker?
Mix descaling solution or white vinegar with water (1:3 ratio) and run a brew cycle without coffee. Then run two cycles with fresh water to rinse. Repeat every 3 months.
Why is my coffee maker not brewing?
Check if the water tank is empty, the carafe is correctly placed on the hot plate, and the power cord is plugged in. If the machine is still not working, check for blockage in the filter basket.
Can I use ground coffee instead of pods?
Yes, the WPKW2200W uses a permanent filter basket suitable for ground coffee. Use medium grind for best results.
How do I clean the carafe and filter basket?
Wash the carafe and filter basket with warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly before next use.
What does the auto shut-off feature do?
The coffee maker automatically turns off after 2 hours of inactivity to save energy and prevent overheating.
How many cups can I brew at once?
The water tank capacity is 1.5 L, allowing you to brew up to 12 cups (150 ml each) per cycle.
Why does my coffee taste bitter?
Bitter taste may be due to over-extraction or using too fine a grind. Try using a coarser grind and ensure the water temperature is not too high. Also, descale regularly.
Can I use the pause & serve function?
Yes, during brewing, you can remove the carafe for up to 30 seconds to pour a cup. The anti-drip system stops the flow to prevent spills.
How do I replace the permanent filter?
The permanent filter is built-in but can be removed and cleaned. If damaged, contact Witt spare parts. Replacement filters are available as accessories.
The machine is leaking water. What should I do?
Check if the water tank is correctly fitted, the lid is closed, and the carafe is not overfilled. Also, inspect the filter basket for excess coffee grounds. If leakage persists, contact support.
