How do I descale the coffee maker?

The machine is leaking water. What should I do?

Check if the water tank is correctly fitted, the lid is closed, and the carafe is not overfilled. Also, inspect the filter basket for excess coffee grounds. If leakage persists, contact support.

SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES FOR THIS KETTLE

• Place the device on a table or a flat surface.

Using the device

Before using it for the first time:

Flush the interior of the kettle with water before using the device for the first time.

1. Fill half of the tank with fresh clean water (without additives).
2. Set the switch to the ON position. The light will turn on and this indicates that the water is starting to be heated.
3. Once the water is boiling, the device will shut down automatically.
4. Carefully lift the kettle and empty the water into a sink and be careful not to splash any water (there is a risk of scalding).
5. The device is ready to use.

Using the device:

1. Place the base on an even surface.
2. Fill the kettle with fresh water (without additives).

Please note: Do not overfill it! Use the water level indicator.

1. Put the lid on.
2. Place the kettle on the base.
3. Only connect the device to a correct 220V\~240V 50/60Hz socket. (Make sure that the voltage matches the device's voltage. You can find this information on the sticker located on the base.)
4. Set the device to position 1. The control indicator on the kettle will show that the water is heating up.
5. Once the water is boiling, the device will shut down automatically.
6. Now pour the water into a cup. Please be careful to avoid scalding. Do not press down on the lid when pouring.

Cleaning

First read the "SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS" section.

• Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the device.
• The device must be completely cooled down before you start cleaning it.
• Empty the electric kettle, and clean the exterior surface with a clean moist rag to avoid damaging the polish. Then dry with a soft rag.
• Do not use strong/abrasive cleaning agents on either the interior or exterior of the device.
• Only use a dry rag to wipe off the base.
• Avoid spilling water on the electric components of the device.
• Do not lower the electric kettle or the base in water or any other kinds of fluids. Ensure that the base is kept dry.

Descaling

You can descale an electric kettle by dissolving approximately 1.5 tablespoon of lemon juice in 1 litre of cold water. Turn on the electric kettle and let the mixture boil out completely. Then use the electric kettle with regular cold water at least three times to be sure that it is completely free of the lemon juice.

Storage

Make sure that the device is completely cooled down and dry.

Only wrap the wire around the base of the device to avoid causing damage.

Store the device in a cool and dry place.

The warranty does not cover:

Damage during transport

If the product is damaged during transport and this is discovered when the retailer delivers the product to the customer, this is exclusively a matter between the customer and the retailer. In cases where customers have handled the transport of the product themselves, the supplier shall not be liable for any potential damage during transport. Any damage caused during transport must be reported immediately and no later than 24 hours after the product has been delivered. If not, the customer's claim will be rejected.

Unnecessary service

If the product is sent in to be serviced and it turns out that the fault could have been fixed independently by following the product's instruction manual, the customer will need to pay the service fee.
