Frequently Asked Questions - VCE21EMW GORENJE

How do I replace the dust bag?
To replace the dust bag, first unplug the vacuum. Open the bag compartment cover. Remove the full bag by pulling the cardboard tab. Insert a new Gorenje dust bag (type S) ensuring it clicks into place. Close the cover securely.
How to clean the HEPA filter?
The HEPA filter should be cleaned every 3-6 months. Remove the filter from the vacuum. Tap it gently to remove loose dust. If very dirty, wash under lukewarm water (do not use detergent). Let it dry completely (24 hours) before reinserting.
What accessories are included with the VCE21EMW?
The vacuum comes with a crevice tool for tight spaces, a dusting brush for delicate surfaces, and an upholstery nozzle for furniture and curtains.
How can I adjust the suction power?
The suction power can be adjusted electronically via the slider on the handle of the hose. Slide it to increase or decrease suction for different surfaces like carpets or hard floors.
Can I use this vacuum on hardwood floors?
Yes, the vacuum has an adjustable suction setting and is safe for hard floors. Use a lower suction setting to avoid scratching. The included floor brush has soft bristles suitable for hardwood.
How do I store the vacuum after use?
After use, press the cord rewind button to retract the cable. Hang the hose and accessories on the vacuum body. The unit can be parked horizontally by placing the floor tool into the parking slot on the back.
What should I do if suction power decreases?
Check if the dust bag is full and replace if necessary. Inspect the filters and clean them if clogged. Also examine the hose and nozzle for blockages. Remove any obstructions to restore suction.
How to clean the brush roll?
The floor brush has a removable brush roll. Unplug the vacuum. Press the release button on the brush to remove it. Cut away any hair or threads wrapped around the bristles. Rinse the brush under water and let dry before reattaching.
Is the power cord automatically rewound?
Yes, the VCE21EMW features an automatic cord rewind function. Press the rewind button with your foot while holding the plug to retract the cord smoothly into the vacuum.
How do I know when to change the dust bag?
The vacuum has a bag-change indicator that turns red when the bag is full or airflow is restricted. Alternatively, if you notice reduced suction or a change in sound, it's time to replace the bag.
