Frequently Asked Questions - 20130003 Pippi

How do I descale my Pippi kettle?
Mix equal parts water and white vinegar (or use citric acid) and fill the kettle. Boil, then let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Repeat if needed.
What is the maximum capacity of the 20130003 kettle?
The maximum capacity is 1.7 liters. Do not fill above the max level indicated inside the kettle.
Can I use the kettle without water?
No, the kettle has boil-dry protection that will automatically shut it off if there is insufficient water. However, it should never be used empty.
How do I clean the filter?
The removable scale filter can be taken out and rinsed under running water. For stubborn limescale, soak it in vinegar or citric acid solution.
Why does my kettle take a long time to boil?
Limescale buildup on the heating element reduces efficiency. Descale your kettle regularly to restore fast boiling.
Is the kettle cord long enough?
The cord is 75 cm long. The kettle sits on a 360° rotational base, so you can place it conveniently.
What materials is the kettle made of?
The body is stainless steel and the handle and lid are made of BPA-free plastic.
Does the kettle automatically switch off?
Yes, it has auto shut-off once the water reaches boiling point. Also, the boil-dry protection turns it off if there is no water.
Can I open the lid while boiling?
It is not recommended. The steam can cause burns. Wait for the kettle to cool down before opening the lid.
Where can I buy spare parts?
Spare parts such as lids, filters, and bases are available through Pippi's official website or authorized retailers. Contact customer support for details.
