How do I clean the Arzum AR3046 coffee maker?

How often should I descale the coffee maker?

Descale every 1-2 months using a vinegar-water solution or a commercial descaling agent. Run a brew cycle with the solution, then rinse with fresh water.

Can I use paper filters with this model?

Yes, you can use standard #4 paper cone filters or the included permanent mesh filter.

What is the maximum capacity of the water tank?

The water tank holds up to 1.5 liters, enough for 12 cups of coffee.

- Make sure that the voltage indicated on the Arzum Brewtime Filter Coffee Machine corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable

- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

- Farm houses;

- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

- Bed and breakfast type environments.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of

the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

This appliance is intended to be used in household environment. Do not use the appliance for commercial or industrial purpose. Otherwise it will not be covered by warranty.

Keep your appliance away from and out of reach of the children.

• Plug your appliance to a grounded socket. Do not use extension cords that supply improper current in order to prevent damage to your machine.
• Do not place the Arzum Filter Coffee Maker over or near direct heat sources such as stove, heating oven etc.
• Ensure that the appliance is placed on a firm and flat surface. Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. Even a small impact may fall down your appliance. Do not forget that your Filter Coffee Maker is full of water.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or countertop or to contact other devices.

Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your appliance. Do not carry your appliance by holding from the cord. To

unplug the filter coffee maker, hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.

Never interfere with your appliance except for the purposes of cleaning and maintenance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as falling down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Call immediately an Arzum Authorized Service. Use original spare parts in your appliance.

Please, unplug from outlet your appliance when your appliance not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before cleaning the appliance.

Avoid contact with steam to be ejected from spout when the water is boiling, and do not let children to use the appliance.

• Ensure that water tank and filter cap of your Arzum Filter Coffe Maker is closed before operating your appliance.
• NEVER immerse your appliance in water or any liquid; do not wash your appliance in dishwasher and do not use your appliance in bathroom or any other places with high humidity rate.
• You can put water and ground coffee in your appliance while it is in off position.
• NEVER put anything into the water tank other than water.

Never leave the power base unit and electrical connection ends of your appliance in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and no not operate your appliance before having it dried completely.

• NEVER put anything into the filter housing other than ground coffee.
• Be careful not to burn yourself due to the water or steam from the machine or inappropriate use of the machine.
• Heating level remains hot due to heat after use the appliance; NEVER touch it.

USE OF YOUR APPLIANCE

FIRST USE

Before first use, operate your appliance 3 times with water only before putting coffee in it.

OPERATION

1. Open water tank and filter cap and fill the housing with water. Fill water tank with fresh and clean water to the level line indicating the

number of coffee you would like to prepare.

* Do not exceed the specified maximum amount of water onto the water level in the tank.
2. Add ground coffee into the filter and generally use brimful coffee for each cup. (For example, 10 scales for preparing 10 cups of coffee).
3. Close the cap.
4. Place the glass jug on the heating surface.
5. Plug in your appliance.
6. Press On/off button and then brewing operation will be started.
7. Once coffee brewing operation is completed, you can serve your coffee in glass jug however you wish.
8. Unless you turn off your appliance, your glass jug on heat holding surface will continue to be hot.
9. Switch off the appliance from on/off button.
10. Plug out your appliance.

* Resulting baked coffee will be 10% less than coffee filled water. Reason for this is that coffee grains absorb some amount of water.

** Luminous indicator on button shows that filter coffee machine is working. It is normal that steam comes out from the device during the coffee brewing process.

*** Wait for a few minutes before preparing your second coffee.

CLEANING

• Shut down the main switch (i/o) of your appliance and disconnect the plug from the outlet and wait for your appliance to cool down before cleaning.
• You can manually wash glass jug, filter and filter housing of your Arzum Filter Coffee Machine. NEVER wash the other parts by means of plunging them into water or in the dishwasher.
• Discharge the water in water tank. It is recommended to use fresh water after each use.

Do not clean any of the appliance accessories with harsh and chemical cleaners (bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.)

- Do not switch on the device while it is hot.

CALCIFICATION REMOVAL

If the water in your area is harsh, calcification in your machine will build up over time and calcification build-up will prevent proper operation of your appliance. Regular calcification removal procedure prolongs the life of your appliance and ensures optimal brewing results for a long time. It is recommended to remove calcification of your coffee machine in each 50 use. For removing calcification of your appliance, apply the following steps:

While cleaning your appliance from calcification;

• You can use 2 cups of white vinegar,
• Use appropriate calcification removal solution for your coffee machine.
• Pour the mixture into the housing and operate your coffee machine (with no coffee).
• Wait until one cup of mixture is poured into jug and then stop your coffee machine.
• Wait for two hours to take effect.
  · For preventing its flowing, operate coffee machine again.
• Operate and rinse your filter coffee machine with water 2 or 3 times before putting coffee.
  ** Appliances not working due to calcification or appliances not properly working are out of warranty.
