ATTENTION

Do not tamper with any internal device components and do not perform any adjustments that are not defined in this manual. LED TVs use high voltage. When cleaning dust or drops off the display or device case, you should first unplug the power cord from the socket and then wipe the device with a dry towel. To prevent damaging the TV, disconnect the power cord and antenna during a thunderstorm. Refer to a qualified service centre for all necessary repairs.

INSTALLATION

Installing the device

  • Place the unit within the room so that the display is not exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Complete darkness or reflections on the screen can cause eye fatigue. Soft indirect light is recommended for comfortable viewing.
  • Leave enough space between the device and wall to allow sufficient air circulation.
  • Stay away from excessively warm areas to prevent damaging the case of the device or the premature ageing of components.
  • Do not cover ventilation holes.

Instructions for assembling the stand

  1. Place the device on a fl at service with the screen facing down. Use a blanket or other soft fabric to protect the display.

Teletext controls

Teletext is an information system transmitted by certain stations that can be read as you would a newspaper. It provides access to subtitles which make viewing easier for the hearing impaired and people without knowledge of the language in which the program is broadcast (cable networks, satellite channels etc.).

Press: Resulting effect:
TEXTToggles teletext mode on/off. An overview with a list of available items is displayed. Each item has a designated three-digit page number. If the current channel does not transmit teletext, “100” will be displayed and the screen will remain empty (in this case exit teletext and select a different channel).

The page number is displayed in the top left corner. The counter indicates page browsing and once the desired page is loaded, it will be displayed on the screen. Repeat these steps to display a different page. If the counter does not stop and continues to count, this means the respective page is not broadcast. Select a page with a different number.

This screen will only be displayed during the first start of the device or after restarting the system to factory settings. Here you can select the country and perform automatic channel tuning. After the tuning process completes, the first tuned DTV channel will appear.

CHANNEL menu

The first item under the main MENU is the CHANNEL menu (only for ATV or DTV signal sources).

Auto-tuning:

All channels will be tuned automatically. You can select to tune analog (ATV) or digital (DTV) channels.

DTV manual tuning

You can select the DTV channel number and then tune the desired station.

Use the numerical buttons or ◀▶ buttons to select the channel number and press OK to start the tuning process.

You can change the audio system and fi ne tune channels with manual analog broadcasting (ATV) tuning. You can then store the selected channels to the memory.

Any of the programs can be Erased, Renamed, Moved, Skipped, or added to Favourites.

Rename:

Only analog (ATV) programs can be renamed.

Move the highlighted segment to the program you wish to rename and press the green button.

Use the ▼▲ arrows to select the character at the position indicated with the cursor. Move the cursor using the ◀▶ cursor.

Press MENU to leave editing mode, press EXIT to leave the menu.

Note: The maximum length of ATV program names is 5 characters, and the maximum length for DTV channels is 25 characters.

Move:

Use the arrows to select the channel you wish to move. Then press the yellow button to select the Move feature. Use the numerical buttons to enter the new program number and confirm by pressing OK.

Skip:

Use the ▼▲ arrows to select a channel and press the blue teletext button to skip the channel. will appear to the right of the channel. To cancel channel skipping, select the channel and press the blue button again. The symbol will go away.

Favourites:

Use the ▼▲ arrows to select a channel and press FAV. ♥ will appear to the right of the channel. To remove a channel from the favourites list, select the channel and press FAV again. ♥ will no longer appear next to the program.

After creating a list of favourite programs, you can press FAV to quickly access your favourite channels.

DISPLAY menu

The second item in the main MENU is the DISPLAY menu. Here you can change display settings such as brightness, contrast etc.

Use the arrows to select the desired item and press OK to adjust.

NOTE:

  • "Colour tone" settings are only available for the NTSC system.
  • You can select from one of four colour temperature modes: Cold, Medium, Warm and User.
  • The "PC Display" setting is only available in PC mode. Here you can adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the display, size and phase.

AUDIO menu

The third item in the main MENU is the AUDIO menu. Here you can adjust the audio parameters such as treble, bass and balance.

Use the ▼▲ arrows to select the desired item and press OK to adjust.

Auto-volume (AVL): This feature is used only when the input signal volume is too high or is distorted.

TIME menu

The fourth item in the main MENU is the TIME menu. Here you can adjust the clock, on/off timer, auto-off period etc.

Use the ▼▲ arrows to select the desired item and press OK to adjust.

NOTE:

If the auto-off feature is enabled, the TV will automatically go into sleep mode after 10 minutes without signal. The precise time can be retrieved from digital television broadcasting (DTV).

OPTIONS menu

The fi fth item in the main MENU is the OPTIONS menu. Here you can change the menu language, audio track language, subtitle language etc.

Use the ▼▲ arrows to select the desired item and press OK to adjust.

LOCK menu

The sixth item in the main MENU is the LOCK menu. Here you can lock the system, set a password, block a program or confi gure the parent lock. Channels cannot be locked or otherwise changed when the system is locked.

The default password is 6666. Should you forget the password, use superpassword 9527.

Program blocking: Use the ▼▲ arrows to select a program and press the green teletext button to block the program. To unblock a program, enter the main menu, enter the password and then press the green button again.

Parent lock: Use the ▼▲ arrows to select the parent protection level.

MULTIMEDIA menu

The seventh item in the main MENU is the MULTIMEDIA menu.

DMP MULTIMEDIA

Press OK to enter the DMP menu.

USB 2.0 Photo Music Film

Make sure a USB memory device is inserted into the USB slot of the TV. You can select from four types of media fi les: photos, music, fi lms and text. Use the ◀▶ buttons to select the type of fi le and press OK to enter disk selection mode.

PVR FUNCTION

Preparing to record a program

Under the OPTIONS menu, select the "PVR file system" menu and then "File system check" from this sub-menu. Press OK and wait until the "Checking" status changes to "OK".

Note: please check the "Speed". "HD support" means the USB device speed is sufficient for time shift and recording. Otherwise, format the device to be used for these features. The default "Recording length" is 6 hours, if there is enough space on the disk. If there is less free space on the disk, the length of the recording will correspond with the amount of free space on the disk. Do not perform any operations during the file system check until the check is complete.

The recording process is carried out by the television PVR system. The recording can only be played on the TV. It cannot be played on another device (computer, DVD etc.), which is not compatible with the "TS" file format.

In order to save recordings to the USB disk, the TV may request you to format the USB disk.

WARNING!

FORMATTING ERASES ALL DATA STORED ON THE FORMATTED EXTERNAL DEVICE.

From the OPTIONS menu enter the PVR file system menu.

Recording a program

Select a channel in digital TV (DTV) receiving mode and press "Rec". The recording dialog will appear. Press "Rec" again, the recording dialog will disappear and the recording icon will appear in the top left corner. Press "Stop" to stop recording.

Playing a recording

A recorded program is stored on the USB device into the “_MSTPVR” directory.

  • The USB recording device should have a capacity of 4 GB to 500 GB.
  • The image can be pixelated if the data flow is too slow.
  • Compatibility with all USB devices cannot be guaranteed.

Time shift

Preparation

This TV allows pausing and recording the current digital program on a USB medium and resume playback at a later time from the moment you stopped watching the program.

NOTE:

  • This feature requires a formatted USB 2.0 device. Backup your data before formatting. The formatting process will erase all data stored on the USB memory device.
  • If the off timer was set prior to activating the feature, the off timer will be postponed.

Formatting a USB device

Select USB device formatting and reserve space to use for the time shift feature.

NOTE:

  • The formatting cycle can take 2 minutes or longer. Do not turn off the television or disconnect the USB device during the formatting cycle.
  • A speed test is performed on the USB device during the formatting cycle. If the test fails, the USB might not support the time shift feature.

Recording paused DTV broadcasting to USB

When digital broadcasting (DTV) is selected as the input source, insert the USB memory device into the USB port on the side of the TV.

Press PAUSE (5) to activate time shift. The TV program will stop, the time shift menu will appear on the screen and the recording process will begin.

Press STOP (20) to deactivate time shift and the recording process.

  • Do not disconnect the USB memory device during an active time shift session.
