Frequently Asked Questions - PD3EV Philco

How do I clean the lint filter?
Open the door, pull out the filter located at the bottom of the door opening, and remove lint by hand or with a soft brush. Rinse under running water if necessary. Dry thoroughly before reinserting.
What should I do if the dryer does not start?
Check that the dryer is plugged in, the door is fully closed, and the program is selected. Ensure the child lock is not activated. If still not starting, check the fuse or circuit breaker.
Can I dry all types of fabrics?
No, always check the care labels. Avoid drying items with rubber, plastic, or foam (e.g., bath mats, raincoats). Delicate fabrics like silk or wool should be dried on a low heat setting or air-dried.
How often should I clean the condenser?
Clean the condenser every 1-2 months or when the condenser indicator light appears. Remove the condenser unit (located at the bottom front), rinse with water, and dry before reinserting.
Why is my laundry still damp after a cycle?
Possible causes: overloading the drum, selecting a too-short program, clogged filter or condenser, or the room temperature is too low for sensor drying. Try a longer program or reduce load size.
How do I install the condensate drain hose?
Connect one end of the hose to the dryer's drain outlet (usually at the back) and route the other end to a floor drain or sink. Ensure the hose is not kinked and slopes downward for proper drainage.
What is the maximum load for cotton program?
The maximum load for the cotton program is 7 kg (dry weight). Do not exceed this to ensure efficient drying and prevent damage to the dryer.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the 'Child Lock' button (usually marked with a padlock icon) for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns on. To deactivate, press and hold again for 3 seconds.
What does the 'Anti-Crease' function do?
The anti-crease function periodically tumbles the laundry without heat after the drying cycle ends, preventing wrinkles. It can be activated via the control panel or automatically runs for a set time.
Is it normal for the dryer to produce some noise?
Yes, operational sounds are normal: a humming from the motor, clicking from the timer, and airflow sounds. Unusual noises like banging or rattling may indicate an issue, such as a foreign object in the drum or loose parts.
