How do I use the Izzy Party Fun IZ-2003 for the first time?

Before first use, remove stickers, clean the plates with a damp cloth, and preheat the appliance for about 10 minutes with the plates open. This may produce smoke or odor, which is normal.

What plates are included with the donut maker?

The device comes with two interchangeable non-stick plates: one for 'animals' shaped donuts and one for mini donuts.

How do I know when the appliance is preheated?

Why does smoke come out during baking?

No, the plates are not dishwasher safe. Clean them with a soft cloth or paper towel after they have cooled completely. Do not use abrasive sponges or cleaners.

Attention: The surface of the appliance is hot during operation.

Before the First Use

NOTE: Smoke and odors may occur during first use.

1. Remove any stickers.
2. Clean the appliance and the plates. See the "Care and Cleaning" section.
3. Place the mains plus into socket.
4. Preheat the toaster for about 10 minutes with the plates open.
5. Unplug the appliance from the mains.

This procedure is required for the first use only.

Using the Appliance

1. Prepare the donuts mixture.
2. Place the donuts plates (7 or 8).
3. Plug in the appliance.
4. The power indicator light (2) and the temperature indicator light will turn on.
5. Once the device has been preheated, the temperature indicator light (3) will turn off.

NOTE: During the warm-up always have the plates closed.

1. As soon as the temperature indicator light turns off (3), open the plates and place some of the donuts mixture on the plates.

NOTE: Make sure the mixture does not exceed the top of each slot.

1. During baking, the temperature light flashes at intervals to maintain the correct temperature.
2. Close the plates.
3. During baking, smoke will come out sideways. Once the smoke stops, then you can open the plate and check if the donuts are cooked. Let the donuts be cooked according to your preference and remove them. Repeat until the mixture is finished.
4. When finished, unplug the appliance.
5. Let the appliance and the plates cool down before cleaning or storing.

Suggested donuts recipe:

Ingredients for about 35 small donuts

1 1/2 cups flour for all uses
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
125 gr. melted butter
1 cup milk
1 lightly beaten egg
1 vanilla or 2-3 drops whatever fragrance you have

Execution

Preheat the appliance. Put the dry ingredients in a bowl and make a hole in the center. Add the butter, milk, egg and vanilla and mix well with a whisk. Grease with a little oil and pour the mixtu into the slots. Transfer the donuts to a grill or baking tray to cool down.

You can serve with sugar, icing or colored truffle.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Cleaning the appliance every time you use it avoids smoke and unpleasant smell the next time you cook.

• Before cleaning the appliance, ensure that it is disconnected from the outlet and both the plates the body of your appliance cooled down completely.
• NEVER immerse the appliance and the electric cord into water or any other liquid.
• Never use metal cleaners such as wire, brush, and chemical solutions or abrasive cleaning materials in order to clean your appliance.

External device surface:

- You can wipe the outside of your appliance with a damp cloth or kitchen towels.

Non-stick plates (grill & waffle):

• Release the plates by pressing the plates release clips (6)
• Wipe the plates gently with a soft paper towel or a soft cloth to remove any food residue.
• Do not use wire or hard sponges to clean the plates as they may be damaged the non-stick coating.
• Do not use cleaning tools or dusts that can damage or scratch the special non-stick coating.
• Ensure that parts of the cleaned device have dried well before using it again.
• Do not wash in the dishwasher.

Carriage & Storage

- Make sure the appliance has cooled down before storing.

• To move the appliance, use the original packaging or wrap it in a soft cloth.
• Store in a place without humidity, where it is not reachable by children.
• Store the appliance in vertical position by locking the plate locking clip (4) or horizontal position.
