ASTM laboratory accuracy requirements in the display range of 22 to 40 °C (71.6 °F to 104.0 °F) for IR thermometers is ±0.3 °C (±0.5 °F), whereas for mercuryin-glass and electronic thermometers, the requirement per ASTM Standards E 667-86 and E 1112-86 is ±0.1 °C (±0.2 °F).

HFS1000 NON-CONTACT INFRARED THERMOMETER

Simple Operation Principle

The body temperature is reflected on the temporal artery.

  • The temporal artery is the artery located closest to the skin and is spread across the forehead. If the blood with body temperature reflection passes the temporal artery on forehead, corresponding amount of infrared rays will be generated. From the infrared rays, the body temperature can be measured.
  • This product is a contactless type thermometer and does not make direct contact with forehead.
  • The temperature measurement can be taken 2 to 3cm away from the body or object.
    • This will decrease discomfort or possible infections caused by touch.
