Comment mettre à jour les cartes de mon NAVIGATIE 5500 ?

Les cartes sont fournies sur DVD-ROM. Vous pouvez commander le dernier DVD auprès de VDO Dayton. Le système supporte le contenu sur demande (C-IQ) : vous recevez régulièrement le dernier DVD gratuitement et ne payez que pour les données utilisées.

Puis-je utiliser un écran autre que ceux recommandés ?

Le système est conçu pour fonctionner avec les moniteurs VDO Dayton des séries MM 5610, MM 5510 ou MM 5010. L'utilisation d'autres écrans pourrait ne pas être compatible.

Comment fonctionne la navigation dynamique via TMC ?

Le système peut traiter les informations de trafic via un récepteur RDS-TMC optionnel. Il évalue les incidents et propose un nouvel itinéraire avec le gain de temps estimé. Vous pouvez choisir de l'accepter ou non.

Est-il possible d'enregistrer des adresses favorites ?

Oui, le répertoire peut contenir au minimum 200 entrées classées par catégories (domicile, travail, affaires, privé). Vous pouvez également retrouver les 20 dernières destinations.

Comment saisir une destination par code postal ?

Lors de la saisie de la destination, sélectionnez l'option 'Code postal'. Le système vous guidera pour entrer le code. La disponibilité dépend des données cartographiques.

Que faire si l'appareil ne s'allume pas ?

Vérifiez d'abord le câblage d'alimentation (tension 12 V) et le fusible. Assurez-vous que la masse est correctement connectée. Si le problème persiste, consultez un installateur professionnel.

Le guidage vocal est-il disponible en français ?

Oui, le système propose 9 langues dont le français, avec plusieurs voix possibles. Vous pouvez changer la langue dans les réglages.

Puis-je utiliser le système sans DVD ?

Non, le lecteur DVD-ROM est nécessaire pour accéder aux cartes et aux guides de voyage. Sans DVD, la navigation n'est pas possible.

Comment nettoyer l'écran et le boîtier ?

Utilisez un chiffon doux et sec. Pour les taches tenaces, humidifiez légèrement le chiffon avec de l'eau. N'utilisez jamais de solvants, d'alcool ou de produits abrasifs.

Où trouver des pièces de rechange ?

Contactez un centre de service agréé VDO Dayton ou consultez le site officiel. Certaines pièces comme l'antenne GPS ou les câbles peuvent être commandées séparément.

With a storage capacity of 8.5 GB the DVD has approx. x12 greater memory capability compared to a CD. Currently all available European street data is on the DVD and there is also extensive travel guide information including picture material available.

C-IQ - Intelligent Content on Demand

The driver has the freedom to choose and pay for the mapping content and time periods that suit his/her needs. The latest DVD is sent to the customer regularly free of charge and he has to pay only for the real used data. For example: Germany including a Varta-Travel guide for one year, to plan a vacation in Italy for 3 weeks and Austria for 2 days.

HTML-like POI/Travel Info Browser

The guide-information is built-up according to the known Internet-standard. This allows a simple and clear ordering of the extensive data material. From the input of search criteria to the selection of pictures and detailed information there are almost no limitations.

Dynamic Navigation via TMC

The system is able to process traffic information, which is provided through an optional RDS-TMC receiver (RDS Traffic Message Channel). This traffic information is evaluated and included in the route calculation. The delta (travel time, distance) for the current route is shown and the driver can decide whether he wants to drive this new route or not. It is possible to customize system behaviour for dynamic route planning.

Extensive Destination Input Possibilities

With the great number of input possibilities virtually every destination can be found. The destination input is supported by the 'Intelligent Typewriter'. Only the alphabetic characters that are really needed will be presented automatically, making destination selection considerably simpler.
