DVD ZONE FREE enables you to play DVDs from all over the world and to increase the number of DVDs you are able to watch on your PS2.

Reconfiguring your system for DVD ZONE FREE DVD-playback

IMPORTANT: in order to reconfigure your PS2 DVD player so that it accepts multi-region DVDs, you will require a native zone DVD (i.e. a European zone 2 DVD) as well as a non native zone DVD (e.g. a US zone 1 DVD).

1. Insert a DVD native to your console into your PS2 (i.e. a zone 2 DVD for a European console) and close the DVD-drive. The DVD will automatically begin to play.
2. While the DVD is playing, press the Select button on your gamepad. The main menu screen will appear (see illustration).
3. Use the D-Pad on your gamepad to highlight the Setup icon ( ) and press the X button to confirm. Language Setup will appear on your screen.
4. Press Right once to highlight the Screen Setup page.
5. Press Down three times to highlight Outline Sharpening. A value will be displayed alongside.
6. Press the X button.
