The Wi-Fi n/b/g-certified and IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0-compliant ZyXEL NWA-3165 is a wireless LAN Access Point designed for enterprise environments. The MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) feature of NWA-3165 utilizes a multiple-antenna system to take advantage of the multi-path effect in RF implementations, rather than fighting against it as conventional 802.11 Access Points did. The resulting improvements in both range and capacity provide substantially more reliable signal quality and greater bandwidth that are critical to SMB deployments.
Virtual AP for Specific Applications
The NWA-3165 supports up to 4 multiple SSIDs with 802.1Q VLAN tag. This function makes the NWA-3165 perform as multiple virtual APs. The NWA-3165 also provides pre-defined voice SSID and guest SSID for optimized voice prioritization, and offers top-level security for guest access without difficulties of complicated configuration efforts.
Enterprise Class Security
The NWA-3165 delivers enterprise-class security features to small and medium businesses. To shield wireless communication at the source, WPA2 with TKIP/AES encryption provides the latest and toughest standard-based security while WEP encryption supports legacy wireless clients. Additionally, WPA2 ensures the compatibility with all Wi-Fi certified wireless clients.
Sophisticated Design with Easy Installation
The NWA-3165 is designed with a non-invasive concept that prevents radical image change to enterprise surroundings. Its UL2043-certified casing has been fire-tested for heat and visible smoke release for discrete products and related accessories installed in air-handling spaces. The test evaluates various small, non-metallic products intended for use in air-handling spaces and plenum to prove that they are not harmful to the nearby personnel in case of fire. With the professional installation kit ZyXEL provides, NWA-3165 can be deployed with great flexibility.
