Key Features:
Supercharged Intercooled Engine

Reboarding Step and Handy Reverse
JET SKI ULTRA 300X
As an innovator of the personal watercraft since the first Jet Ski, Kawasaki has a long history of high performance on the water. Kawasaki's newest flagship, the Jet Ski Ultra 300X, pushes the performance envelope even further. With increased boost from a new Eaton Twin Vortices Supercharger, the big Kawasaki Ninja-inspired marine engine pumps out 300 horsepower** through an all-new pump for incredible hook-up and acceleration. Not only is the new Ultra 300X high powered, but it's also high tech. Riders can adjust hull attitude with the new electric trim system, there's an electronic throttle valve with electronic cruise control, fuel-saving ECO mode and a new all digital instrument panel.

1,498 cm³ 4-Cylinder, DOHC 4-Stroke Engine
- Intercooled TVS Eaton roots-type supercharger produces large amounts of boost, even at low rpm, for instant and powerful acceleration right off idle.

- Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger uses twin four-lobe rotors to produce a continuous delivery of air for smoother throttle response and a significant increase in performance.
- Boost pressure increased from 11 to 17 psi.
- Automatic belt tensioner reduces maintenance and insures belt is kept tight for maximum supercharger performance.
- Legendary Ninja-inspired marine engine adapted for personal watercraft use.
- Revised piston crowns help increase power to suit the new supercharger.
- Chrome composite plated cylinders are lightweight, durable, and quickly carry heat away from the combustion chamber and piston for
supreme durability at high power output. - Dry sump oil tank built into crankcase.
- Tip-over protection shuts engine off if craft tilts more than 61^ .
4-Valve Cylinder Head
- New exhaust cam is more durable and suits the higher power output.
- Exhaust valve stem diameter is increased 1 mm at the valve head for increased durability.
- Larger cam chain to handle the increased torque.
- Corrosion-resistant materials used for durability in marine environment.
Intercooled
- Pressurising the intake air heats it to extremely high temperatures which would rob power, but the liquid-cooled intercooler reduces intake air to ambient temperature, or even less, for higher combustion efficiency and more power.
Electric Throttle Valve
- The thumb throttle on the handlebar operates an acceleration position sensor (APS) that uses the ECU to send a signal to a small motor that actually operates the throttle valve.

- This makes throttle action very light for reduced rider fatigue and the more precise throttle control results in better performance, smoother running and increased fuel mileage.
- Using a cable-operated APS allows the electronics to be placed within the hull for increased protection from water and vibration.
- Large 60 mm throttle body for ample airflow.
Multiple Riding Modes
- The ECU-controlled ETV allows multiple riding mode options to be activated with the touch of a button:
- 8 kph Mode conveniently regulates rpm to maintain constant speed in no-wake zones
- Cruise Control fixes speed at a specified level for convenient long-distance touring
- Fuel Economy Assistance Mode changes to a leaner FI map to prioritise fuel economy over driveability cooling performance.

Smart Learning Operation (SLO) mode
- Activated with a separate key, the Smart Learning Operation feature limits engine speed to approximately 6,500 rpm, which reduces maximum power by approximately 50 percent and speed by approximately 30 % so that unskilled operators can practice manoeuvrings the watercraft at reduced power until they become more familiar with its operation. When activated, SLO meter screen and FPO (Full Power Operation is selected.

Kawasaki Smart Steering
- A steering sensor is linked to the ECU to aid in boat handling when the throttle is quickly released from high speed.
Fibreglass Hull
- Inside of bow reinforced to handle the extra horsepower.
-
New aggressive styling reflects flagship status and presents a powerful image.
-
Now with two separate flush ports for the engine and intercooler for easier maintenance.
- Designed using feedback from Kawasaki's IJSBA championship-winning machines, the hull offers the industry's best stability and responsive handling in calm and rough waters.
- Deep 22.5-degree V-angle at the bottom of the hull provides better "grip" for racing-like performance.
-
Sponsors extend further from the hull to enhance straight-line performance and high-speed manoeuvrability.
-
Four Kawasaki Splash Deflector (KSD) ridges across the bottom of the bow minimizes spray in a wide variety of conditions for greater rider concentration.
-
High-performance ride plate with an added groove from the centre to the rear enhances handling.
- Gel coat for a deep, lustrous, scratch-resistant finish.
- Standard re-boarding step.
Electric Trim Control System
- Allows the rider to control the angle of the jet pump nozzle to suit water surface conditions and riding style. Raising the pump raises the bow for improved rough-water handling, while lowering it increases turning performance.

All-new Instrument Panel
- All-digital LCD screen is easier to read and now also displays water and air temperature in addition to the speedometer, tachometer, hour meter, clock, trip distance, trip time and fuel level.

- Now positioned higher on the hull with a revised visor for improved visibility.
Direct Drive Axial Flow Pump
- 5 mm larger pump houses a big 160 mm stainless steel impeller redesigned to efficiently convert all the extra power
into forward thrust.
- The steering nozzle is 20 mm shorter and 3 mm smaller in diameter to reduce load and provide lighter handling despite the increased power.
- Oval leading edge blade shape for maximum efficiency, minimum cavitation.
- Horizontal guide
vanes added to the intake grate to help "grip" the water and prevent the bow from rising on acceleration for improved stability.
- Direct drive from engine to pump; no gear reduction unit. Engine turns lower RPM for less stress, wear, fuel consumption and vibration.
- Durable injection moulded plastic reverse bucket provides backing action.
Largest in Class Capacity Fuel Tank
78 litre fuel tank increases cruising range.
Luxurious Cockpit
- Five-way adjustable handlebar suits a wide range of riders and riding styles and allows comfortable stand-up or seated riding positions.

- Redesigned left-side reverse control is even easier to use.
- Revised two-piece seat facilitates standing so it easier to use the legs to absorb bumps while allowing greater freedom of movement when seated.
New Reverse Lever
- New reverse lever body has larger, more ergonomic shape that more comfortably in the hand.
- New release button is larger to integrate with the new lever body.
- Revised lever ratio reduces the effort required to engage reverse which improves low-speed manoeuvrability and control.
Large Storage Capacity
- Huge 200 litre front storage compartment with removable tray.

- Centre console storage area has a detachable drink holder with space for two water bottles.
New for 2011
- New Colour and Graphics
