Before storing the unit, leave the engine to cool down. - Store the unit in a dry, closed room to prevent unauthorised use or damage. Keep the unit away from children.
Long-term storage
i Note
Engines, which are stored for longer than 30 days, should not have any fuel in the tank to prevent the formation of residue in the fuel system, in particular on important parts of the carburettor.
If the unit is to be stored for a prolonged period, proceed as follows:
- Drain all the fuel out of the tank into a fuel container. Do not use fuel which has been stored for longer than 60 days.
- Start the engine and leave running until it stops. This ensures that all the fuel has been drained out of the carburettor.
- Leave the engine to cool down. Remove the spark plug and fill the cylinder with 15 ml of high-quality engine oil for 4-stroke engines. Slowly pull the starter rope to distribute the oil. Reinsert the spark plug.
i Note
After storing and before reusing the unit, remove the spark plug and drain all the oil out of the cylinder.
