Quels sockets sont compatibles avec le GIGABYTE VOLAR ?

Le refroidisseur est compatible avec les sockets Intel LGA775 et AMD AM2 / K8. Vérifiez votre socket avant achat.

Comment installer correctement le refroidisseur ?

Appliquez de la pâte thermique, retirez le film protecteur, fixez le support selon votre socket, puis branchez le connecteur 3 broches sur la prise CPU_FAN de la carte mère. Consultez le guide d'installation fourni.

Le ventilateur peut-il être contrôlé en vitesse ?

Oui, grâce au câble de contrôle de vitesse inclus. Branchez-le entre le ventilateur et la carte mère pour réduire la vitesse de 2000 à 1500 tr/min.

Quels accessoires sont fournis avec le VOLAR ?

Le pack contient : un clip AMD K8/AM2, deux brackets LGA775, de la pâte thermique, quatre vis pour bracket LGA775 et un câble de contrôle de vitesse.

Comment nettoyer le refroidisseur ?

Débranchez l'appareil, utilisez un pinceau doux ou de l'air comprimé pour retirer la poussière des ailettes et du ventilateur. Évitez les liquides.

Le refroidisseur est-il bruyant ?

Non, le ventilateur de 120 mm est conçu pour être silencieux, surtout avec le câble de contrôle de vitesse qui réduit le bruit.

Puis-je utiliser ce refroidisseur pour overclocker ?

Le VOLAR offre une bonne dissipation pour une utilisation standard, mais n'est pas garanti pour l'overclocking intensif. Reportez-vous aux spécifications de votre processeur.

Que faire si la pâte thermique est mal appliquée ?

Nettoyez l'ancienne pâte avec de l'alcool isopropylique et un chiffon non pelucheux, puis appliquez une fine couche uniforme au centre du processeur.

Le support LGA775 est-il inclus ?

Oui, deux brackets LGA775 et les vis correspondantes sont fournis pour une installation sur socket Intel LGA775.

Comment retirer le refroidisseur ?

Pour le retirer, tournez les quatre pins dans le sens de retrait (indiqué sur le manuel) et tirez vers le haut. Débranchez d'abord l'alimentation.

Installation Guide

The cooler fan speed levels provided are for reference use only

Please refer to the motherboard BIOS to verify actual fan speed levels.

CAUTION

The followings are not covered by the warranty :

1. Use the product incorrectly or in a manner other than the designed purpose.
2. Nonobservance of the proper operation. (e.g. over-clocking)
3. Malfunction due to interference from other devices.
4. Unauthorized modification of the product.
5. Malfunction due to unfit specifications on Motherboard.
6. Malfunction arising from casualties ( earthquake, thunder, fire, and flood).
7. The product's warranty label has been removed or damaged.
8. The devices inside, including power supply, hard disk, CD-ROM drive, motherboard, computer and network card, are connected to the computer system by a computer product, resulting in damage to the cooler or computer-related devices.
9. Any damage caused by nonobservance of the installation instruction contained in this manual.

LGA 775 Platform Installation

STEP1

Apply some thermal grease on the CPU properly.

Caution :

Before installation, please turn off the power, unplug the power cord, and be sure to remove the sticker from the bottom of the cooler unit.

STEP2

Unlock screws on the AMD bracket and remove the bracket.

STEP3

Place the two 775 brackets between the copper base and the cooler unit.

Align the holes of the bracket with the holes of the copper base. Secure the 775 brackets with supplied bracket screws. Make sure the screws are evenly and firmly fastened.

STEP4

Before installation, please make sure the pin is on the right direction (as Figure A).

To remove the cooler, turn the four pins to the removing direction (as Figure B) and pull them up.

STEP5

Align the pin of the cooler with the hole of the CPU on the motherboard and push down the pin diagonally. Please make sure the four pins are firmly secured.

STEP6

Plug the 3-pin connector of the cooler into the motherboard's CPU fan socket.

If fan speed control is required, please refer to Installation of Fan Speed control Cable.

AMD K8 / AM2 Platform Installation

Apply some grease on the CPU properly.

STEP1

Caution: Before installation, please turn off the power, unplug the power cord, and be sure to remove the sticker from the bottom of the cooler unit.

STEP2

Mount the AMD K8 / AM2 clip on the AMD bracket of the cooler.

STEP3

Lock the tab on one side of AMD K8 / AM2 clip in the salient point of the CPU cooler.

STEP4

Lock the tab on the other side of AMD K8 / AM2 clip in the salient point of the CPU cooler bracket; push down and secure the bar on the clip firmly.

STEP5

Plug the 3-pin connector of the cooler into the motherboard's CPU fan socket.

STEP1

Connect the other side of the cable to the CPU fan connector located on the motherboard. The original fan speed of 2000 rpm will than drop down to 1500 rpm.

Connect the 3-pin cooler connector to the white connector of the fan speed control cable.
