Comment utiliser l'ACE AL6000 ?

Allumez l'appareil en appuyant sur le bouton marche/arrêt. Attendez le préchauffage. Insérez un embout neuf. Soufflez dans l'embout pendant 4 à 6 secondes. Lisez le résultat sur l'écran. Le symbole alcool apparaît si le taux dépasse le seuil.

L'appareil doit-il être calibré ?

Oui, il est recommandé de calibrer l'ACE AL6000 tous les 6 mois ou après 500 tests. Pour cela, renvoyez l'appareil au fabricant ou utilisez un kit de calibration si disponible.

Quelles piles utiliser ?

Utilisez des piles AAA (LR03) de 1,5 V, de préférence alcalines. Ne mélangez pas piles neuves et usagées. Retirez les piles si l'appareil n'est pas utilisé pendant longtemps.

Comment nettoyer l'éthylotest ?

Nettoyez l'extérieur avec un chiffon doux légèrement humide. Ne jamais immerger l'appareil. L'embout est à usage unique, jetez-le après chaque test.

Que signifie une erreur sur l'écran ?

Les codes erreur courants sont : E1 (souffle trop court), E2 (souffle irrégulier), E3 (batterie faible). Consultez la notice pour la signification complète.

Puis-je utiliser l'ACE AL6000 pour des tests professionnels ?

Non, cet appareil est conçu pour un usage personnel indicatif. Il n'est pas homologué pour les contrôles légaux ou professionnels. Seuls les éthylotests certifiés peuvent être utilisés en milieu professionnel.

Combien de temps dure un test ?

Le préchauffage dure environ 20 secondes, puis le test de souffle prend 4 à 6 secondes. Le résultat s'affiche en moins de 10 secondes. L'appareil s'éteint automatiquement après 30 secondes d'inactivité.

Comment savoir si le capteur est défaillant ?

Si les résultats sont incohérents ou si l'appareil affiche constamment des erreurs malgré un usage correct, le capteur peut être saturé. Contactez le service client ACE.

Peut-on tester l'alcool avec un bain de bouche ?

Non, l'alcool présent dans les bains de bouche ou certains médicaments peut fausser le résultat. Attendez 15 à 20 minutes après utilisation avant de tester.

Où acheter des embouts de rechange ?

Les embouts hygiéniques sont disponibles sur le site d'ACE ou chez les revendeurs agréés. Utilisez uniquement des embouts adaptés au modèle AL6000.

Kurzbeschreibung:

Der ACE AL6000 ist ein Handaikoholtestgerät mit Halbleitersensor. Er dient zur Meszung der Alkoholisierung von Personen über den Alkoholgehalt der Atemluft. Für den ACE AL6000 sind Wechselsensoren verfügbar. Sie können den Sensor selbst schnell und leicht tauschen. Dadurch ist der ACE AL6000 sofort wieder einsatzbereit. Sie können aber, wie bisher bei allen Geräten, unseren Kellbrierservice in Anspruch nehmen. Das Gerät kann in einem Normal- und in einem Schnell-Messmodus benützt werden.

Einführung:

Vielen Dank für den Kauf unseres Alkoholtesters ACE AL6000, der durch eine hohe Verlässlichkeit überzeugt. Es misst die Alkoholkonzentration im menschlichen Atem mit Hilfe eines Halbleitersensors und bietet genaue Atemalkohalmessergebnisse.

Bezeichnung der einzelnen Bestandteile:

Verwendung der Mundstücke:

Der ACE AL6000 bietet einen Schnell-Modus sowie einen Aktiv- bzw. Normal-Modus. Im Normal-Modus muss man für den Alkoholtest Mundstücke verwenden, ACE Technik empfiehlt:

■ Die Verwendung einzelverpackter Mundstücke: Verwenden Sie pro Person und Test ein neues Mundstück! ACE Technik übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden, welche durch die Verwendung von ein- und demselben Mundstück durch mehrere Personen entstehen. ■ Verwenden Sie nicht die beiliegenden Original-Mundstücke, sondern hygienesichere Mundstücke der ACE-Serie! Bei jedem Test kommt der ACE AL6000 innen und außen mit menschlichen Ausscheidungen (Speichel, Auswurf, Blut, Schweiß etc.) in Berührung! ■ Tragen Sie bei der Entfernung von Mundstücken, welche von fremden Personen benutzt wurden, Schutzhandschuhe! Geeignete Schutzhandschuhe können Sie gerne über die ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH beziehen.

So erhalten Sie ein möglichst genaues Ergebnis:

a) Warten Sie nach dem letzten Alkoholgenuss mindestens 20 Minuten bis zum Alkoholtest. Essen, Trinken und Rauchen Sie während dieser Zeit nicht.

b) Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse nicht.

c) Bewahren Sie den ACE AL6000 nicht an einem kalten, heißen, feuchten oder schlecht belüfteten Platz auf.

d) Bewahren Sie den ACE AL6000 außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.

e) Führen Sie nach längerer Aufbewahrungszeit drei „Einlauftests“ durch, bevor Sie den eigentlichen Alkoholtest durchführen.

1) Lassen Sie den ACE AL6000 nicht fallen.

g) Ersetzen Sie bei Batteriealarm die Batterien. Verringerte Batteriekapazität führt zu falschen Testergebnissen. h) Führen Sie keinen Test in lauten (Schallwellen stören den Sensor), zugigen oder schlecht belüfteten Plätzen durch.

i) Nach einem Testergebnis von 1,00 Promille oder höher benötigt der Sensor eine längere Erholungszeit.

Warten Sie in diesem Fall mindestens drei Minuten bis zum nächsten Test.

i) Führen Sie keinen Test durch in sehr kalter, sehr heißer oder unbelüfteter, rauchiger Umgebung.

k) Bewahren Sie den ACE AL6000 so auf, dass das Eindringen von Staub und Flüssigkeiten verhindert wird.

Hinweise zum Batteriegesetz (BattG):

Das Gerät, auf das sich diese Bedienungsanleitung bezieht, enthält im Auslieferungszustand zwei Stück AA Alkaline-Batterien. Diese Batterien sind nicht dazu bestimmt, wieder aufgeladen zu werden. Der Versuch der Wiedereufladung kann Sach- und Personenschäden nach sich ziehen. Auch ist die Verwendung von aufladbaren Batterien im Gerät nicht möglich, da sonst Schaden am Gerät entsteht. Sind die Batterien leer, dürfen Sie nicht in den Hausmüll. Altbatterien enthalten möglicherweise Schadstoffe, die Umwelt und Gesundheit schaden können. Bitte geben Sie die Batterien/Akkus im Handel oder an den Recyclinghöfen der Kommunen ab. Die Rückgabe ist unentgeltlich und gesetzlich vorgeschrieben. Bitte werfen Sie nur entladene Batterien in die aufgestellten Behälter und kleben Sie bei Lithium-Batterien die Pole ab. Zum Batterietausch ziehen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel vom Gerät ab und ersetzen die verbrauchten Batterien gegen neue. Achten Sie dabei auf die Polarität „Schieben“ Sie den Batteriefachdeckel auf das Gehäuse und lassen Sie ihn einrasten. Alle Batterien und Akkus werden wieder verwertet. So lassen sich wertvolle Rohstoffe wie Eisen, Zink oder Nickel wieder gewinnen. Batterierecycling ist die leichteste Umweltschutzübung der Welt.

Kalibrierung:

Um die Genauigkeit des ACE AL6000 aufrecht zu erhalten, empfehlen wir die Kalibrierung im Abstand von einem halben Jahr. Die Kalibrierung muss nicht zwingend vorgenommen werden; die Genauigkeit des ACE AL6000 nimmt jedoch ohne Kalibrierung stetig ab. Senden Sie das Gerät mit dem Zusatz „Alkomat Kalibrierservice“ an die auf der mit dem Gerät gelieferten Rechnung angegebene Firmenadresse. Wir empfehlen die Einsendung als Paket, damit im Fall der Unauffindbarkeit der Abliefernachweis bzw. Nachforschungsauftrag möglich ist. Alternativ zur Kalibrierung können Sie auch einen Austauschaensor erwerben. Durch Änderungen am Produkt können sich die beschriebenen Abläufe ändern. Dies kann ohne Vorankündigung und Anpassung der Bedienungsanleitung geschehen und ist kein Grund zur Reklamation, Retoure oder Preismlinderung. Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Anwenders, Abweichungen zwischen der Bedienungsanleitung und der tatsächlichen Bedienung des ACE AL6000 zu erkennen und entsprechend zu reagleren.

Vorbereitung für den Test:

1. Legen Sie 2 Stück AA Batterien (Alkaline, 1,5 V) in das Batteriefach an der Rückseite des Gerätes ein. Ziehen Sie dafür vorsichtig den Batteriefachdeckel vom Gerät ab und legen Sie die zwei Stück AA Batterien ein. Beachten Sie dabei die Pole der Batterien (+/-).
2. Stecken Sie für den Normal-Messmodus ein neues Mundstück in den Mundstück-Anschluss seitlich am Gerät. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Mundstück korrekt und fest sitzt, Benützen Sie bei Tests mit verschiedenen Personen immer neue Mundstücke. Vermeiden Sie es, Zigarettenrauch in das Gerät zu blasen!

Durchführung der Messung im Normal-Modus:

1. Drücken und halten Sie den Ein-/Aus-Knopf. Das Gerät zeigt abwechselnd FSF und nor sowie einen Countdown an.

2. Lassen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Knopf los, wenn die LED nor anzeigt. Das Gerät befindet sich nun im Aktiv- bzw. Normal-Modus. Alternatively können Sie das Gerät im Normalmodus einschalten, indem Sie den Einschaltknopf nur kurz gedrückt halten.

3. Es folgt ein Countdown von 234 bis 0, während sich das Gerät aufwärmt.

Nach Ende des Countdowns blinkt die orange LED Ready, es sind zwei Pieptöne zu hören und in der Anzeige ist nor zu sehen.

1. Erfolgt innerhalb der nächsten Sekunden kein Alkoholtest, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch ab

2. Legen Sie Ihre Lippen um das Mundstück und pusten Sie kräftig und ohne abzusetzen mindestens 5 Sekunden lang in das Mundstück. Während Sie pusten, hören Sie einen Dauerton.

3. Erhält das Gerät keine ausreichende Atemprobe, erscheint im Display FLO worauf sich das Gerät abschaltet.

4. Nach einer ausreichenden Atemprobe sind zwei Piep- bzw.- Klicktöne zu hören und die O wandert von links nach rechts, während die Atemprobe analysiert wird.

5. Nach Ende der Analyse wird die Alkoholkonzentration in Promille angezeigt.

6. Das Ergebnis wird für ca. 15 Sekunden angezeigt. Danach schaltet sich das Gerät selbst aus.

Wichtig: Wenn Sie etwas gegessen, Alkohol getrunken oder eine Zigarette geraucht haben, so warten Sie mindestens 20 Minuten bevor Sie mit der Messung beginnen.

ACE Technik warnt: Selbst wenn das Gerät Alkoholisierung im „sicheren“ Bereich anzeigt, ist dies nach dem Genuss von Alkohol kein Freibrief für das Lenken eines Fahrzeuges oder für eine andere Tätigkeit, die unter Alkoholeinfluss nicht ausgeführt werden sollte.

Durchführung der Messung im Schnell-Messmodus:

Bei der Durchführung von Alkoholtests im Schnell-Messmodus ist die Verwendung von Mundstücken optional und von der Verfassung des Probanden abhängig. Den Schnell-Messmodus wendet man an, wenn die zu testende Person nicht in der Lage ist, eine aktive Atemprobe abzugeben; z.B. weil sie zu sehr alkoholisiert oder verletzt ist. Im Schnell-Messmodus begnügt sich der ACE ALB000 mit einer geringen Atemmenge und zeigt das Ergebnis in drei großen Stufen an (siehe weiter unten).

1. Drücken und halten Sie den Ein-/Aus-Knopf. Es werden abwechselnd FSF und nor sowie ein Countdown angezeigt.

2. Lassen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Knopf los, wenn die LED FSF anzeigt. Das Gerät befindet sich nun im Schnell-Messmodus.

3. Es folgt ein Countdown von 234 bis O, während dem sich das Gerät aufwärmt. Nach Ende des Countdowns leuchtet die orange LED Ready, es sind zwei Pieptöne zu hören und in der Anzeige ist FSI zu sehen. Im Passiv- bzw. Schnell-Modus schaltet sich das Gerät erst nach einiger Zeit von selbst aus.

4. Bringen Sie die Sensoröffnung so nah wie möglich an die Lippen der zu testenden Person heran.

Pusten Sie so kräftig wie möglich und ohne abzusetzen für mindestens eine Sekunde in die Sensoröffnung, währenddessen ist ein Dauerton zu hören.

1. Hat das Gerät eine ausreichende Atemluftprobe erhalten, sind zwei Piep- bzw. Klicktöne zu hören und die O wandert von links nach rechts, während die Atemprobe analysiert wird.

2. Nach Ende der Analyse wird die Alkoholkonzentration in Form eines Alkoholisierungsgrades in Promille angezeigt.

3. Im Schnell-Messmodus können Sie unmittelbar nach Anzeige des Ergebnisses einen erneuten Test durchführen.

Wichtig: Wenn Sie etwas gegessen, Alkohol getrunken oder eine Zigarette geraucht haben, so warten Sie mindestens 20 Minuten bevor Sie mit der Messung beginnen.

Hinweis: Bei einem Test im Schnell-Messmodus kann es zu einer Kontamination des ACE AL6000 mit menschlichen Ausscheidungen kommen. Vor einem erneuten Test bei einer anderen Person ist daher eine Desinfektion des Gerätes durchzuführen. Die ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH vertreibt geeignete Desinfektionsmittel.

Sensorwechsel:

1. Lockern Sie die Gehäuse-schraube etwas, drehen Sie sie jedoch nicht heraus.

1. Heben Sie die Sensorabdeckung auf eine der zwei gezeigten Arten ab.

1. Die Stirnseite der Sensorabdeckung muss mit dem Gehäuse plan liegen. Sollten die Zapfen der Sensorstirnseite über das Gehäuse vorstehen, so drücken Sie diese vorsichtig in das Gehäuse zurück.

Die ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH übernimmt für das Produkt, dem diese Garantie- und Haftungserklärung beiligt - in allen Versionen und Benennungen - eine Garantie von zwei Jahren nach dem Kauf auf Material- und Verarbeitungsfehler: eine Garantie von einem Jahr auf den Sensor. Diese Garantie schließt die Elektronik sowie das Gehäuse ein bzw. beziehlt sich auf den Sensor ohne Probenaimekomponenten. Nicht unter die Garantie fallen Komponenten, die bei Wirksamkeit zwangsläufig zerstört werden (z. B. Sicherungen). Die Garantie gilt ab Datum der Auslieferung oder ab Datum der ersten Inbetriebnahme (der jeweils kürzere Zeitraum gilt), wenn dies in der Begleitliteratur des Produkts der ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH nicht anders angegeben ist.

Garantie- und Haftungsbeschränkung:

Die ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH lehnt jegliche weitere ausdrückliche oder stillschweigend angenommene Garantie ab, einschließlich der Marktfähigkeit und Eignung für einen bestimmten Zweck. Die Garantie gilt insbesondere nicht für die Kalibrierung. Nach dem Austausch des Sensors ist die Kalibrierung zwingend erforderlich.

Sind bei einem Produkt ein Sensortausch und / oder eine Kalibrierung notwendig, so erhält der Anwender ggfs. einen Kostenvoranschlag. Lehnt der Anwender den Kostenvoranschlag ab, sendet die ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH das Produkt unrepariert / unkalibriert zurück und das Produkt wird entsprechend gekennzeichnet.

Sollte das Produkt diese Gewährleistung nicht erfüllen, beschränkt sich der Anspruch des Käufers und die Pflichten der ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH ausschließlich und nach freiem Ermessen der ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH auf den Austausch oder die Reparatur der betroffenen Waren oder auf eine Erstattung des Kaufpreises für die beanstandeten Waren.

2. Anwendungsbeschränkung:

Die ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH haftet in keinem Fall für zusätzliche Schäden. Nebenschäden oder Folgeschäden wie unter anderem entgangene Gewinne und Nutzungsausfall, die aus Verkauf, Herstellung oder Nutzung der unter diesem Haftungsausschluss verkaufen Produkte entstehen, unabhängig davon, ob diese Ansprüche aus Verträgen, Fahrlässigkeit oder anderen schuldhaften Handlungen hergeleitet werden.

Das Produkt, dem diese Garantie- und Haftungserklärung beiliegt, ganz gleich, in welcher Version und Benennung, kann insbesondere nicht rechtsverbindlich dafür herangezogen werden, um die Tauglichkeit einer Person zum Lenken eines Fahrzeugs oder zur Ausführung einer Handlung, die unter Alkoholeinfluss zu Eigen- und Fremdgefährdung führt, festzustellen.

Die sorgfältige Prüfung aller Produkte bei Erhalt auf Beschädigungen, eine für die gegebene Anwendung des Käufers geeignete Kalibrierung und die bestimmungsgemäße Nutzung. Instandsetzung und Wartung gemäß der Anweisungen in der von der ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH gelieferten Produktliteratur sind zwingende Voraussetzungen für diese Garantie. Instandsetzungs- oder Wartungsarbeiten durch nicht qualifiziertes Personal führen ebenso zum Erlöschern der Garantie wie die Verwendung nicht freigegebener Verbrauchsmaterialien oder Ersatzteile. Wie bei allen technisch anspruchsvollen Produkten ist es eine grundlegende und für die Garantie der ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH zwingende Voraussetzung, dass alle Bonutzer dieser Produkte mit der Verwendung, den Fähigkeiten und Beschränkungen des Produkts, wie in der betreffenden Produktliteratur beschrieben, vertraut sind.

Short description:

The ACE AL6000 is a digital alcohol testing device, which measures the alcohol concentration in the breath and calculates the blood alcohol level from that. For the ACE AL6000 you can get replaceable sensors which can be changed quickly and easily. Thus the device soon is ready for use again. Of course you can also send the device for a calibration service to ACE Technik. The unit can be operated in active and passive mode as described below.

Introduction:

Thank you for purchasing our breathalyser ACE AL6000. It measures the alcohol concentration in human breath using a semiconductor sensor and offers reliable breath alcohol test results.

Usage of mouthpieces:

As noted before the ACE AL6000 offers an active and passive mode operation. When using the active mode you need mouthpieces, in the passive mode there is no need for mouthpieces. ACE Technik recommends:

■ Always use a new mouthpiece for each person and each test which is conducted. ACE Technik assumes no liability for any damages which arise when several people use the same mouthpiece for multiple tests.

- Don't use the enclosed but the hygienic mouthpieces from the ACE series! During each test the ACE AL6000 internal and external gets in contact with human secretion (saliva, blood, sweat etc.)!

■ Use safety gloves when pulling out a mouthpiece which was used by another person than yourself! You can buy appropriate gloves at ACE Technik.

This way you receive a result as accurately as possibles:

a) Wait at least 20 minutes after your last sip of alcohol. Do not eat, drink or smoke during that time.
b) Do not open the casing.
c) Do not keep the ACE AL6000 in cold, hot, moist or badly ventilated places.
d) Keep the ACE AL6000 out of the reach of children.
e) Conduct three inlet tests after long storage before conducting the actual alcohol test.
f) Do not let the ACE AL6000 fall.
g) Change batteries after battery alarm. Diminished battery capacity leads to incorrect test results.
h) Do not conduct tests in loud (sound waves disrupt the sensor), draughty or badly ventilated places.
i) After a test result of 1.00 per mille or higher the sensor needs a long resting time. In this case wait at least three minutes before the next test.
j) Do not conduct tests in very cold, very hot or unventilated, smoky ambience.
k) Store the ACE AL6000 in a way to avoid penetration by dust or liquids.

Notes to the battery law (BattG):

The device for which this operating manual is contains two AA alkaline batteries (1.5 V) in delivery condition. Those batteries are not made for recharging. Trying to recharge can cause damage to property or persons. Also the use of rechargeable batteries is not possible with this device, because it can cause damage to the device. When the batteries are depleted, they must not be thrown in the household waste. Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can cause damage to the environment or health. Please return batteries / rechargeable batteries to the store or to the buyback centre. The return is free of charge and mandatory by law. Please throw only depleted batteries into the containers and tape over the poles of lithium batteries. For battery exchange only pull off the battery compartment cover and change the depleted batteries for new ones. Mind the polarity: The negatives poles of the batteries are in contact with the springs in the battery trough. Slide the battery compartment cover over the casing until it snaps in. All batteries and rechargeable batteries will be recycled. This way, precious resources like iron, zinc and nickel are gathered. Battery recycling is the easiest lesson in environmental.

Calibration:

To maintain the accuracy of the ACE AL6000, we recommend calibration twice a year. The calibration is not mandatory; the accuracy of ACE AL6000 will decrease steadily without it, though. Send the device with the note "Alkomat calibration service" to the company address stated on the invoice you received with the device. We recommend sending it as a parcel, so that in cases of loss an inquiry or proof of delivery is possible. Due to changes in the product, the procedures stated can change. This can take place without prior notice or adaptation of the operating manual and is no cause for complaint, return or price reduction. The user is responsible to recognise deviations between the operating manual and the actual handling of the ACE AL6000 and he has to react accordingly.

Preparation for the test:

1. Install 2 pieces of AA batteries (alkaline, 1.5 V) in the battery compartment. Pull off the battery compartment cover at the back of the device carefully and insert the 2 pieces of AA batteries. Mind the battery polarity in the process (+/-).
2. For the active mode operation put a mouthpiece on the mouthpiece connection, which is on the side of the device. Make sure it is attached properly. Use a different mouthpiece for each test person. Avoid blowing cigarette smoke into the tester!

Conducting the measurement in active mode operation:

1. Press in and hold the power switch to turn the unit on. You can see the cumulative test count. FSF and nor will be displayed continuously.
2. Release the power switch with test counter or when nor sign is displayed, the device is now in active mode operation.
3. There will be an automatic countdown from 234 to 0 as the unit warms up. At the end of the countdown you will see "Ready" on the display, then you hear two sharp bleeps and see nor on the display, the device is ready now.
4. If you don't start with the breath sample within a few seconds the device will shut itself off automatically again.
5. Secure your lips around the mouthpiece and blow sharply and steadily into the sensor opening near the top of the unit for at least 5 seconds, during this you will hear a long bleep.
6. If the breath sample is too weak you will see FLO on the display, then the device shuts itself off.
7. If the breath sample is successful you will hear two bleeps when the device has finished taking the breath sample. You will see the digit D moving left to right in the display as the device is analyzing the sample.
8. When the analysis is complete, you will see the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) results displayed in per mille.
9. The result will be displayed for approximately 15 seconds after which the unit will shut itself off.

Important: When you have eaten, drunken alcohol or smoked a cigarette, wait at least for 20 minutes before starting the measurement.

Conducting the measurement in passive mode operation:

In this modus the usage of mouthpieces is optional. You can use this modus if a person has drunken too much alcohol or is badly injured and therefore is not able to provide an active breath sample. The ACE AL6000 only needs a weak breath sample and shows the results in 3 approximate ranges.

1. Press in and hold the power switch to turn the unit on. You can see the cumulative test count. FSF and nor will be displayed continuously.

2. Release the power switch when FS_F sign is displayed, the device is now in passive mode operation.

3. There will be an automatic countdown from 234 to 0 as the unit warms up... At the end of the countdown you will see "Ready" on the display, then you hear two sharp bleeps and see FST on the display, the device is ready now. In the passive mode the device shuts itself off automatically after a longer period of time (in seconds) than in the active mode.
4. Blow sharply and steadily into the sensor opening near the top of the unit for at least 1 second, during this you will hear a long bleep. You will hear two bleeps when the device has finished taking the breath sample.
5. If the breath sample is successful you will hear two bleeps and see the digit D moving left to right in the display as the device is analyzing the sample.
6. When the analysis is completed you will see the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) results displayed in per mille.
7. In the passive mode you can immediately do another test when you see FSF in the display after the unit has shown the measurement for the previous test.

Important: When you have eaten, drunken alcohol or smoked a cigarette, wait at least for 20 minutes before starting the measurement.

Change of the sensor:

1. Loosen the screw on the top of the device but don't pull it out.

1. Carefully remove the cover and then the sensor module like it is shown on the two pictures on the right side. Do NOT detach the cable from the body!

1. Remove the cable from the slot underneath the sensor module and pull the old sensor off from the metal blank.

1. After preparing a new calibrated or new sensor module insert the cable into the new sensor. Clip on the new sensor on the metal blank. Please note: Put the blue stripe on the blue point!

1. Insert the sensor into the frame.

1. The two pictures show the correct position of the sensor.

1. Re-attach the cover on the top of the body. It should snap in fairly easily.

1. The front of the cover has to fit exactly into the body. If the pins in front of the sensor don't fit, please carefully press them back into the body.

Warranty and liability:

Warranty:

The ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH will give a warranty of two years after purchase for material and processing errors for the product, to which this warranty and liability declaration is attached, in all versions and designations; a warranty of one year for the sensor. This warranty includes the electronics as well as the casing or the sensor without sampling components. Components that are inevitably destroyed upon effectiveness (such as fuses) are not part of this warranty. The warranty is valid from the date of delivery or from the date of first activation (always the shorter period), if this is not stated otherwise in the accompanying literature of the product by ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH.

Limitation of warranty and liability:

1. Product description:

The ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH rejects any further expressly stated or implied warranty, including the marketability and suitability for a determined purpose. This warranty especially excludes calibration. After changing the sensor, calibration is absolutely necessary.

When an exchange of the sensor or a calibration is necessary for a product, the user may receive a estimate of costs. Should the user refuse the estimate, the ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH will send the product back unrepaired / uncalibrated and the product will be labelled accordingly.

Should the product not fulfil the warranty, the claim of the buyer and the obligations of the ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH are limited exclusively and at the discretion of the ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH to an exchange or repair of the affected goods or to a reimbursement of the purchasing price for the faulty goods.

2. Application restriction:

The ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH is on no account liable for additional damage, incidental damage or consequential damage such as, among others, last profit and downtime that result from selling, producing or using products, which are part of this application restriction. This is independent of any claims, such as from contracts, negligence or other culpable actions.

The product, which is accompanied by this warranty and liability declaration, no matter in which version or designation, can especially not be used legally binding to determine capability to operate vehicles or to execute action that could lead to damage to oneself or others under the influence of alcohol.

The thorough check for damage of all products upon receipt, a calibration suitable for the given use by the buyer and the proper use, maintenance and service according to the instructions of the accompanying product literature by the ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH are mandatory prerequisites for this warranty. Maintenance and service work by non-qualified persons, as well as using non-approved consumables or spare parts lead to an expiry of this warranty. As for all technically challenging products, it is a fundamental prerequisite and mandatory for the warranty by ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH, that all users of these product are familiar with the properties and restrictions of the product as stated in the respective literature.

3. Advice restriction:

The buyer confirms that he has checked the intended use and suitability of purchased goods for any purpose in sole responsibility. Between the two parties it is expressly agreed upon that all technical or other advice by ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH regarding use of the goods or services is free of charge and was made with to the exclusive risk of the buyer. Therefore no obligation or liability can arise to the ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH from any recommendation or their result.
