Retirez le filtre et lavez-le à l'eau tiède savonneuse. Laissez sécher complètement avant de le remettre.

Que faire si l'aspirateur ne s'allume pas ?

Vérifiez la prise, le câble et l'interrupteur. Si rien ne fonctionne, le moteur peut être en surchauffe : attendez 30 minutes.

Comment utiliser la brosse motorisée ?

Branchez l'aspirateur, enfoncez le pédale pour allumer la brosse. Passez sur les tapis et moquettes.

Où trouver des sacs de rechange pour le MC-E851 ?

L'aspirateur perd en puissance, que faire ?

Vérifiez le sac (plein ?), le filtre (encrassé ?) et le tuyau (bouché ?). Nettoyez ou remplacez si nécessaire.

Comment ranger le câble d'alimentation ?

Appuyez sur le bouton d'enroulement situé à l'arrière de l'aspirateur pour ranger le câble automatiquement.

Oui, utilisez la brosse douce fournie ou réglez la brosse motorisée en position parquet.

Que signifient les voyants lumineux ?

Le voyant rouge indique un sac plein ou un filtre bouché. Le voyant vert indique un fonctionnement normal.

Comment débloquer un tuyau obstrué ?

Débranchez l'aspirateur, retirez le tuyau et utilisez un objet long et flexible pour retirer le bouchon.

May we take this opportunity to thank you for purchasing this Panasonic Vacuum Cleaner.

FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT CAREFULLY

This appliance is supplied with a moulded three pin mains plug for your safety and convenience.

An 13 amp fuse is fitted in this plug.

Should the fuse need to be replaced please ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 13 amps and that it is approved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362.

Check for the ASTA mark 📂 or the BSI mark 🌐 on the body of the fuse.

If the plug contains a removable fuse cover you must ensure that it is refitted when the fuse is replaced.

If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until a replacement cover is obtained.

A replacement fuse cover can be purchased from your local Panasonic Dealer.

IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET IN YOUR HOME THEN THE FUSE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND THE PLUG CUT OFF AND DISPOSED OF SAFELY.

THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVERE ELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THE CUT OFF PLUG IS INSERTED INTO ANY 13 AMP SOCKET.

If a new plug is to be fitted please observe the wiring code as shown below.

If in any doubt please consult a qualified electrician.

IMPORTANT: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

Blue: Neutral

Brown: Live

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows.

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.

The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.

Under no circumstances should either of these wires be connected to the earth terminal of the three pin plug, marked with the letter E or the Earth Symbol.

How to replace the fuse: Open the fuse compartment with a screwdriver and replace the fuse and fuse cover.

This appliance is provided with a flexible cord and if this becomes damaged, the repair must be made by an Authorised Service Centre, as a special tool is required.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using this vacuum cleaner, please observe these basic precautions.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

1. Do not leave the vacuum cleaner plugged in to mains outlet. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before maintenance.
2. Electric shocks can occur if used outdoors or on wet surfaces.
3. Make sure that hands and feet (particularly of small children) are kept away from the cleaner.
4. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If the vacuum cleaner is not working as it should, or it has been either dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or come into contact with water, consult an authorised Service agent.
5. Do not pull, carry or use by the cord, close the door on the cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over the cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
6. Do not handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
7. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked, keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may block or reduce air flow.
8. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
9. Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
10. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
11. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
12. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
13. This appliance should be serviced by an authorised Panasonic agent, and only genuine Panasonic spare parts should be used.

4) Do not pull on the power cord when disconnecting it from the mains, always pull on the plug body itself.

This cleaner includes an automatic thermal safety device which automatically turns off the power if the suction inlet, hose or extension wand is clogged.

If this occurs, disconnect from the mains, remove the material responsible for the clogging and then wait about ten minutes, before operating your cleaner again.

D) DUST BAG CHECK INDICATOR

You should change the paper bag when the yellow mark appears in the window, in order to maintain the best efficiency.

NOTE: If it shows full, while the dust bag is still empty, check to see if the hose or connection pipe is clogged.

E) HOW TO REPLACE THE DUST BAG

I) Release the hook as is shown by arrow, lift the dust cover up and take it off.

II) Grip the cardboard of the dust bag and pull it out.

III) Slide off the bar at the bottom of the dust bag and empty. Fold the open end up and replace the bar.

IV) Install the dust bag putting the cardboard on the guides of the bag support.

The dust bag can be re-used once or twice. Dust bags should be changed regularly for max. efficiency of vacuum cleaner.

IMPORTANT: Fold the dust bag 2 times to avoid dust leakage. (Be careful not to throw away the bar).

V) Close the dust cover.

IMPORTANT: When the dust bag is not in position or it has not been installed correctly, the dust cover will not close.

F) CARE OF FILTERS

The vacuum cleaner has two filters, one central filter installed in the dust bag compartment that protects the motor (Fig. 1). The other, clean air filter (electrostatic), is installed in the exhaust cover situated in the top rear side of your cleaner, and it retains any small dust particles which may be present in the exhausted air (Fig. 2).

It is advisable to change the clean air filter when it becomes dirty. As a guide, once or twice a year is usually sufficient.

When you change the clean air filter (non washable), we advise that the central filter is washed. Simply rinse it out in warm water and dry thoroughly before replacing.

CENTRAL FILTER (Fig. 1) Part no. AMC8GF03D1000

To remove the central filter, hold at the top (as illustrated) and pull it up. Important: Ensure that the filter is dry before re-installing it into the cleaner.

CLEAN AIR FILTER (Fig. 2, Fig. 3)

To change the clean air filter, lift up the exhaust cover and remove the filter support as shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3.

IMPORTANT: Do not forget re-install the filters before use.

G) HOW TO STORE YOUR CLEANER

The vacuum cleaner includes a clip system, which is built onto the body of the cleaner, which will keep the extension wand, hose and nozzle in a vertical position for easy storage.
