Du har investerat i ett högkvalitetstält, så tag väl hand om det. Vi rekommenderar att du läser instruktionshäftet noggrant innan du sätter upp ditt tält och att du tränar ordentligt på att sätta upp och ta ner det innan du går ut på din första tur. Trots sin låga vikt är Staika mycket starkt om det används korrekt, men det kräver noggrann skötsel och handhavande för att fungera optimalt. You have invested in a truly high-end, high quality tent, so take care of your investment. We strongly recommend that you read these instructions completely before setting up your tent, and that you practice setting up your tent at home before taking it on a backcountry trip.

Despite its light weight, the Staika is exceptionally strong if used correctly, but it does require proper care and handling to function at its full potential. Follow ALL directions in this booklet. Doing this will ensure the greatest longevity of your tent and the maximum benefit to you.

Trotz seines geringen Gewichts ist das Staika bei korrekter Anwendung extrem belastbar. Um optimal zu funktionieren, bedarf es jedoch sorgfältiger Pflege und Handhabung. Folge allen Anleitungen, so wirst Du an diesem Zelt lange Freude haben.

obs: Det finns 16 pinnfästen på Staika. Eftersom Staika är helt fristående behövs inga markpinnar för att ställa upp det. Vi rekommenderar dock att du alltid fäster hörnen och alla linor, eftersom vädret kan ändras snabbt.

EN What's included with the Staika

One outer tent in Kerlon 1800 connected to one inner tent; 6 attached guy lines with line runners; three 387~cm × 10mm ; 16 pegs; stuff bags for tent, poles and pegs; one spare pole section; one pole repair sleeve; and an instruction booklet.

NOTE: There are 16 possible peg points on the Staika. Since the Staika is fully freestanding, it does not require any pegs for pitching. We recommend, however, that you always peg down the corners, and that you make guy line use part of your normal routine, since weather in the backcountry is always unpredictable!

Staika Inhalt

Außenzelt aus Kerlon 1800 mit eingebautem Innenzelt. 6 vormontierte Abspannleinen mit Leinenspannern. Drei 387 cm x 10-mm-Zeltstangen. 16 Heringe. Packsäcke für Zelt, Gestänge und Heringe. 1 extra Stangensegment, 1 Reparaturhülse und 1 Aufbauanleitung.

WICHTIG: Das Staika besitzt 16 Ansatzpunkte für die Heringe. Auch wenn das Staika ein freistehendes Zelt ist, empfehlen wir Dir trotzdem immer alle Ecken mit Heringen zu verankern und alle Abspannleinen zu verwenden, da sich die Wetterbedingungen schnell ändern können.

sv Att välja tältplats

Välj en så vindskyddad och jämn plats som möjligt, och fri från sådant som kan skada ditt tält. En konvex yta ger bättre spänning och minskar risken för vatten under tältet.

Viktigt om hantering av tältstängerna

2 – 4 Våra tältstänger är av högsta kvalitet, men de är en lättviktsprodukt som kräver korrekt hantering annars kan stängen knäckas och i värsta fall leda till fara. Kasta aldrig ut en stång för ihopsättning eftersom stångdelarna kan få sprickor eller andra skador när de slår ihop. Vik ut och sätt ihop en sektion i taget. Se till att delarna går ihop ordentligt och att de inte glider isär eftersom en glipa kan orsaka stångbrott.

EN Choosing a tent site

Find a spot that is as protected as possible from the wind, and that is even, level and free of anything that might damage your tent. A slightly convex site will create better stretch in the pitching and minimize moisture collecting under the tent.

Important note about pole usage

2-4 Our tent poles are the best available, but they are still lightweight aluminum. Incorrectly handled, a pole can break, which could be potentially dangerous. Never extend a pole by flinging it open, since the sections hitting each other can cause damage. Unfold each pole carefully, seat each section into place, and ensure that pole sections do not pull apart during pitching, as the resulting gaps can lead to breakage.

DE Die Suche eines geeigneten Zeltplatzes

Wähle einen Platz, der möglichst windgeschützt, eben und frei von Gegenständen ist, die Dein Zelt beschädigen könnten. Eine leicht konvex gewölbte Stelle gibt dem Zelt eine bessere Spannung und Stabilität, und minimiert Nässeansammlung unter der Zeltfläche.

Benutzung des Gestänges

2-4 Unsere Gestänge sind von bester Qualität. Sie sind auf Leichtigkeit konzipiert und müssen korrekt gehandhabt werden. Bei unsachgemäßer Verwendung können sie brechen und Deine Sicherheit gefährden. Werfe nie das Gestänge zum Zusammenbauen aus, es könnten dadurch Risse oder andere Schäden entstehen! Entfalte jede Stange und setze sorgfältig ein Segment nach dem anderen zusammen. Achte darauf, dass die Teile beim Aufbau nicht auseinanderrutschen. Die dabei entstehenden Spalten können einen Stangenbruch verursachen.

sv Lägg ut och fäst tältet

1 Lägg ut tältet. Om det blåser hårt, fäst en lina i din ryggsäck eller annat tungt föremål. 2 Fäst hörnen.
Markpinnarna ska tryckas ner helt och hållet i cirka 45 graders vinkel.
4 Om det ej går att få ner pinnen i rätt vinkel är det bättre att använda en flackare vinkel än att låta en del av pinnen sticka upp ur marken. 5 – 7 Om det är svårt att få ner pinnen, använd ett hårt föremål för att pressa eller slå ner pinnen.

EN Lay out and peg the tent

1 Lay out the tent, and, especially in windy conditions, use a guy line to secure the tent to a backpack or other heavy item. 2 Peg the corners.
3 Press in the pegs completely at about a 45^ angle to the surface of the ground.
4 It is better to use a shallower angle (closer to parallel to the surface) than it is to leave a peg sticking up from the ground. 5 - 7 If it is hard to get the pegs in, use a rock or other hard object to press - or if necessary, to lightly hammer - them in fully.

DE Ausbreiten und Befestigen des Zeltes

Breite das Zelt aus. Bei starkem Wind ist es ratsam, eine Abspannleine am Rucksack oder an einen schweren Gegenstand zu befestigen. Fixiere die Ecken mit Heringen.
3 Presse die Heringe vollständig und in einem Winkel von ca. 45 Grad in den Boden.
4) Sollte dies nicht möglich sein, ist ein flacherer Winkel besser als dass ein Teil des Herings nicht im Boden steckt. 5–7) Benutze einen harten Gegenstand wenn es schwierig ist, den Hering ganz in den Boden zu schlagen.

sv Uppsättning av Staika.

1 Varje kanal är färgmarkerad. Kontrollera att båda ändarna av stången går in i kanaler med samma färgmarkering. 2 Se till att stångändarna bottnar i kanalerna. 3 & 4 Fäst krokarna på stängerna. I hård vind är det bäst att göra det i "spiralform" nedifrån och upp så att höjden på tältet blir densamma på alla sidor. 5 Genom att pressa ner stången en bit blir det lättare att fästa de sista krokarna. 6 Vid behov kan dubbla stänger monteras vilket ökar stabiliteten för de mest extrema situationerna.
7 & 8 Fäst krokarna på ventilskyddet i de matchande ringarna (lämna alltid de fästen som har toggles och ring kopplade) och spänn banden så ventilskyddet är sträckt.

EN Pitching the Staika

① Each of the short pole sleeves is color coded. Make sure that both ends of each pole goes into matching colored sleeves. ② Seat the pole ends completely into the pole sleeves. ③ & ④ Clip the hooks to the tent. Especially in windy conditions, clip the hooks in a spiral pattern from the ground up and keep the height of the walls the same on all sides. ⑤ Pushing down on the pole while pulling the clip can make it easier to affi x the last clips. ⑥ The sleeves and clips will accommodate double poles, which increases stability and strength for the most extreme conditions.
7 & 8 Clip the hooks on the vent cover to the matching rings on the tent (leave the toggle points connected at all times), and tighten the webbing straps to make the cover taut.

DE Zeltaufbau

Die kurzen Gestängekanäle sind paarweise farblich markiert um Verwechslungen auszuschließen. Setze die Enden der Stangen in die Gestängekanäle ein. Versichere Dich, dass sie vollständig eingeschoben sind. & Befestige alle Haken von unten beginnend reihum aufwärts am Gestänge. So wächst das Zelt gleichmäßig nach oben. Die letzten Haken lassen sich leichter befestigen, indem man die Stange etwas nach unten drückt. Das Staika kann auch mit einem doppelten Stangensatz verwendet werden. In extremen Bedingungen erhöht dies enorm die Stabilität des Zeltes. & Hake die Lüfterhaube an den dafür vorgesehenen Ringen ein (trenne die Lüfterhaube möglichst nie vom Zelt), und straffe die Spannriemen an.

sv Förankra tältet

OBS: Staika är helt fristående och behöver inte några markpinnar för uppsättning men vi rekommenderar ändå att du alltid fäster alla hörn och linor eftersom vädret kan ändras snabbt.

1 & 2 Drag ut linorna i sitt längsta läge och fäst dem enligt skissen. Kontrollera att alla markpinnar är helt nere i marken i rätt vinkel (se sid 7.)
3 & 4 Markpinnefästen på sidoväggarna ger möjlighet till extra förankring.
OBS: Tältlinorna skall vara spända men inte så mycket att de ändrar tältets form.

EN Anchoring the tent

NOTE: While the Staika is fully free standing and does not require any pegs for pitching, we recommend that you always peg all corners and use all guy lines since weather conditions can change quickly.

1&2Make sure all the guy lines are set to their longest length, and peg out the guy lines as shown in the illustration. Make sure the pegs are fully pressed into the ground at the proper angle (see page 7).
3 & 4 An extra peg point in the each panel of the outer tent offers additional anchoring if necessary.
NOTE: The guy lines should be taut, but not so tight that they deform the tent.

DE Verankern des Zeltes

NOTE: Auch wenn das Staika ein freistehendes Zelt ist und zum Aufbau keine Heringe benötigt, empfehlen wir immer alle Ecken mit Heringen zu verankern und alle Abspannleinen zu verwenden, da sich die Wetterbedingungen schnell ändern können.

1 & 2 Strecke die Leinen so lang als möglich aus und positioniere sie so, dass das Zelt in alle Windrichtungen stabil steht (siehe Skizze). Achte darauf, dass die Heringe richtig sitzen (siehe Seite 7).
3 & 4 Zusätzliche Heringsbefestigungen befinden sich an den Seiten des Außenzelts.

WICHTIG: Die Abspannleinen sollten nur so stark gespannt werden, dass sie nicht die Form des Zeltes verändern.

sv Användning av yttertältsingångarna

1 – 4 Öppna ingången helt, rulla ihop tyget och fäst det åt sidan med respåband-sögla och toggle.
5 För att undvika att tyget fastnar i blixtlåsen är det bra att hålla ett finger framför blixtläslöparen vid öppning och stängning.

OBS: Trampa aldrig på dörrfliken eller låt den ligga på marken eftersom risken då är stor att det kommer jord, sand eller annat skräp i blixtlåsen, vilka då snart slutar fungera.

EN Using the outer tent doors

1 - 4 Unzip the door completely, and gather the fabric of the door and roll it tightly towards the side. Secure the bundle of fabric with the elastic loop and toggle.
5 It is a good idea to keep your finger in the zipper as you open or close it. This keeps the door fabric from catching, and will increase the life of your zippers.

NOTE: Make sure not to step on the door, or to let it lay on the ground; this will drag the zipper in the dirt, and grit in the zipper will reduce its life span.

OE Benutzung der Außenzelteingänge

1 – 4 Öffne den Außenzelteingang vollständig, rolle ihn zusammen und fixiere ihn seitlich am Gestänge mithilfe der elastischen Schlaufen und Knebel.
5 Führe beim Öffnen und Schließen einen Finger vor dem Schieber entlang, um zu verhindern, dass sich Gewebe im Reißverschluss verhakt.

WICHTIG: Vermeide es auf die geöffnete Eingangstür zu treten oder sie am Boden liegen zu lassen, da Sand und Schmutz die Reißverschlüsse dauerhaft schädigen.

sv Användning av innertältsdörrarna

Båda halvorna av innetältsingångarna kan rullas helt åt sidan. Ena halvan har helt myggnät, täckt av en reglerbar vävlucka som kan rullas ner och fästas. 1 – 3 För att ta undan denna del av ingången öppna bägge blixtlåsen helt, rulla undan hela tygdelen åt sidan och fäst den med toggle och resår.

4 & 5 Innan du rullar den andra ingångshalvan åt sidan, lossa den yttersta toggeln upptill på gaveln.
5] & 7] Rulla ihop tyget och fäst det med toggle och resårband vid ingångssidan. obs: Låt aldrig dörrflikarna ligga på marken eller trampa på den eftersom det kan innebära att sand, jord eller annan smuts fastnar i blixtlåset och det slutar fungera.

EN Using the inner tent doors

Both halves of the inner tent entrances can be fully rolled to the side. One half is full no-see-um mesh, covered by a zipper-adjustable fabric panel which can be rolled down and secured. 1 - 3 To roll aside this half of the entrance, completely unzip the center and lower zipper, roll the panel to the side, and secure it with the toggle and loop fasteners.

4 & 5 Before rolling aside the all-fabric half of the entrance, detach the inner tent toggle loop where the inner tent wall angles towards the top of the tent.
B & 7 Gather and roll the panel to the side and secure it with the elastic loops.

NOTE: Make sure not to step on the doors, or to let them lay on the ground; this will drag the zipper in the dirt, and grit in the zipper will reduce its life span.

OE Benutzung der Innenzelteingänge

Beide Türhälften können vollständig zur Seite gerollt werden. Eine Hälfte besteht aus Mückennetz, geschützt durch eine mittels Reißverschluss verstellbare Abdeckung, die separat zusammengerollt fixiert werden kann. 1–3 Um eine Türhälfte seitlich zu befestigen, öffne den mittleren und unteren Reißverschluss vollständig. Rolle sie zusammen und fixiere sie mithilfe der Schlaufen und Knebel.

4 & 5 Um den gesamten Innenzelteingang seitlich zu befestigen, löse zuerst am Dachfirst die erste Knebelverbindung vom Innenzelteingang.
B & 7 Rolle die Türen zur Seite auf und fixiere sie mithilfe der elastischen Schlaufen. WICHTIG: Vermeide es auf die geöffneten Eingangstüren zu treten oder sie am Boden liegen zu lassen, da Sand und Schmutz die Reißverschlüsse dauerhaft schädigen.

sv Användning av ventilationen

1 – 4 De översta delarna av yttertältets dörrar är gjord av snösäker, vattenavvisande och ventilerande väv och kan justeras med dörrblixtåsen och en kortare blixtlås. De kan nås inifrån tältet och öppnas, rullas ihop och fästas. Ventilation sker även när luckorna är stängda men maximal ventilation uppnås när de är helt öppna. Ventilerna skyddas från dåligt väder med ventilskyddet.
5 – 8 Övre delen av innertältets stora ventiler kompletterar yttertältets ventiler och kan justeras för önskad ventilation från helt stängd till maximal öppning.

EN Using the ventilation system

1 - 4 The top portion of both outer tent doors is made from snow-proof, water repellent and highly air permeable fabric, and is fully adjustable via the door zipper and an additional, shorter zipper. These are accessible from inside the tent, and can be opened fully and secured. Air will flow, even when they are zipped closed, although maximum venting is achieved when they are both rolled down. These vents are protected from bad weather by the vent cover.
5 – 8 The top of the mesh and fabric half of the inner tent door complements the outer tent door vent, and can be adjusted as necessary for the desired air flow, from fully closed to completely rolled down and secured.

DE Benutzung der Lüfter

1 – 4 Der obere Bereich der Außenzelttür ist aus schneedichtem, wasserabweisendem und hoch luftdurchlässigem Material und lässt sich durch den Tür-Reißverschluss und einen weiteren kürzeren Reißverschluss einstellen. Der Lüfter lässt sich auch vom Innenzelt aus bedienen. Selbst im geschlossenen Zustand ist er noch luftdurchlässig. Maximale Belüftung wird erreicht, wenn die Lüfter vollständig geöffnet und zusammengerollt fixiert werden. Bei schlechtem Wetter werden sie von der Lüfterhaube geschützt.
5 – 8 Die oberen Bereiche der Innenzelttüren ergänzen die Lüfter der Außenzeltüren. Sowohl das Mückennetz als auch deren Abdeckung können auf die gewünschte Luftmenge eingestellt und zusammengerollt fixiert werden.

SV Nedtagning och packning av tältet.

Förläng tältlinor och markfästen för att underlätta nästa uppsättning. Sopa ur tältet och rengör ev blixtlås med en borste. Vid hård vind, fäst en av linorna i ett tungt föremål. För att ta ned tältet, gör nu alla moment du gjorde vid uppsättningen fast i omvänd ordning. Vik ihop stängerna och lägg dem, tillsammans med pinnpåsen, i stångpåsen. 1 – 8Vik ihop tältet och rulla ihop det med stångpåsen i mitten och lägg ner det i tältpåsen. 7 – 12Alternativt, vik eller packa ner tältet i tältpåsen utan stångpåsen och förvara den och stångpå-sen inklusive pinnpåsen separat i ryggsäcken. Stoppa ej ner stångpåsen utanför tältet i tältpåsen eftersom tältet då kan skadas.

EN Taking down and packing the tent

Lengthen guy lines so your tent is ready for its next use. Brush out the tent and clean the zippers with a brush. In windy conditions attach one guy line to a heavy object, such as a backpack. To take down the tent, reverse the steps you used during set up. Fold the poles and put them, along with the pegs in their bag, into the pole bag. 1 - 6 Fold the tent, roll it around the pole bag, and slide the bundle into the tent bag. 7 - 12 Alternatively, fold or stuff the tent into the tent bag without the poles, and pack the pole bag separately in your pack. Do not push the pole and peg bags down the side of the filled tent bag, as this could damage your tent.

OE Abbau und Verpacken des Zeltes

Stelle alle Abspannleinen auf ihre maximale Länge ein, das erleichtert den nächsten Aufbau. Schüttle den Schmutz aus dem Zelt und bürste die Reißverschlüsse sauber. Befestige das Zelt bei Wind an einem schweren Gegenstand. Das Zelt wird in umgekehrter Reihenfolge zum Aufbau abgebaut. Stopfe unter keinen Umständen Gestänge- oder Heringssack neben das Zelt in den Zeitpacksack – dies kann das Zelt beschädigen!

Du kan utnyttja yttertältet separat genom att ta bort innertältet. obs: Yttertältet är vattentätt men väven är ej ventilerande, vilket innebär att det är mer känsligt för kondens. Med ett löst skyddsgolv (säljs separat) undviks markfukten och det blir mer bekvämt men det tar ej bort all kondens.

1 – 5 Genom att lossa hela eller delar av innertältet erhålls ett stort utrymme som blir en bra plats för att samla en större grupp.

obs: I mycket fuktiga förhållanden kan du ta loss innertältet innan tältet tas ner och förvara innertältet separat. Nästa gång du sätter upp tältet, sätt först upp ytter tältet och koppla sedan in det torra innertältet.

EN Taking advantage of the linked inner and outer tents

Detaching the outer tent from the inner tent allows you to pitch the outer tent as you would the complete tent. NOTE: The outer tent is waterproof but not breathable, so is more prone to condensation. Adding a Footprint (sold separately) protects from ground moisture and makes an outer tent-only setup more comfortable, but will not prevent condensation.

1 – 6 Partially or fully disconnecting the inner tent gives more room, and the larger space makes a fine group gathering place.

NOTE: In extremely wet conditions, you can detach the inner tent completely before taking down the tent and store it in a separate bag. At your next camp spot, set up the outer tent, then reattach the still-dry inner tent.

DE Nutze den Vorteil des heraustrennbaren Innenzeltes

WICHTIG: Bei sehr feuchten Witterungsverhältnissen kannst Du das Innenzelt vor dem Abbauen herausnehmen und getrennt verpacken. Beim nächsten Aufbau, baust Du zuerst das Außenzelt auf und befestigst danach darin das trockene Innenzelt.

1 Tag loss innertältet från yttertältet och fäst Staikas stånghållarpaket, (säljs separat) så att stånghållarna med de lösa linorna är framför tältingångarna. 2– 4 Träd genom stängerna genom resårbanden på de två korsande taksömmarna och sätt stångändarna i stånghållarna. 5 & 6 Träd den tredje stängen genom resårbanden i den taksöm som går mellan ingångarna och sätt in stångändarna. 7 Vira den lösa linan runt stängen och fäst ringen i toggeln i resåren ovanför dörren. 8 Justera linsträckarna mellan stånghållarna så tältet står bra.

OBS: Innertältet är vattenavvisande men ej vattentätt. Använd det separat enbart i torrt och bra väder.

EN Pitching the inner tent separately

1 Detach the inner tent from the outer tent, and attach the Staika pole holder kit (sold separately) so that the pole holders with the free cord are in front of the tent's doors. 2 - 3 Thread poles into the two crossing lines of toggle loops, and seat the pole ends into the pole holders. 4 & 5 Thread the remaining pole through the loops along the doors' zipper lines, and seat the ends. 6 Wrap the free cords up the poles, and insert the toggle on the elastic loop above the door into the ring on the end of the cord. 7 Adjust the line runners on the pitching kit so that all the pole holders rest evenly on the ground.

NOTE: The inner tent is water repellent but not waterproof. Use it alone only in dry conditions and when you do not expect bad weather.

DE Aufbau des Innenzeltes ohne Außenzelt

Trenne das Innen- vom Außenzelt. Verbinde das Stangenhalter-Set (Sonderzubehör) am Innenzelt. Die Stangenhalter mit den freien Leinenenden liegen vor den Eingängen. Führe zwei Stangen durch die diagonalen Schlaufenreihen am Innenzelt und stecke die Enden in die Halter. & Führe die dritte Stange durch die Schlaufen entlang der Innenzelteingänge und stecke die Enden in die Halter vor den Eingängen. Wickle die freien Leinen aufwärts um die Stangen und befestige die Ringe der Leinenenden an den Knebeln über den Eingängen. Straffe die Leinenspanner, bis alle Stangenhalter gleichmäßig den Boden berühren.

WICHTIG: Da das Innenzelt wasserabweisend jedoch nicht wasserdicht ist, sollte man sich diese Option bei gutem Wetter ohne Regenrisiko vorbehalten.

Förvara aldrig tältet en längre tid utan att torka det först. Efter varje användning skall det hängas upp för torkning, helst med stängerna isatta så att vävarna kommer ifrån varandra.

Innan det torkas och packas, städa ur tältet ordentligt. Om det behöver rengöras använd en trasa med ljummet vatten. Granska hela tältet och laga vid behov.

Kontrollera alla blixtlås och borsta ur dem med en hård borste. Detta är extra viktigt om du har använt tältet i sandiga eller smutsiga områden. Om blixtläsen inte sköts ordentligt, minskar deras livslängd.

Rengör markpinnarna och ersätt skadade eller borttappade. Kontrollera stängerna så det inte finns några skador.

Då tältet är torrt, allt är kontrollerat och vid behov åtgärdat, packa det i packpåsen, rullat runt stångpåsen med pinnpåsen istoppad. Finns det ett torrt, ljus skyddat och svalt utrymme kan det vara bättre att hänga upp tältet istället för att packa ihop det.

Låt aldrig tältet stå uppställt längre tid än nödvändigt i direkt solljus. UV-ljuset skadar alla vävar. Om det är svårt att finna skugga och tältet ska stå uppställt flera dagar, framförallt på södra halvklotet, i varmare klimat eller på hög höjd, är det bra att skydda tältet med en enkel tarp, ett tyg eller liknande.

EN Care & maintenance of your Staika

Do not store your tent for any length of time without drying it first. After each use, hang it in a dry and well-vented place, preferably with the poles in place so that the inner and outer tent fabrics are kept apart.

Before drying and packing your tent, brush off any dirt and shake any dirt or debris out of the inner tent. If the tent needs cleaning, use only lukewarm water and a sponge. Check the entire tent for damage and make repairs if necessary.

Check the zippers and brush these with a small, stiff brush. This is especially important if you have been using the tent in a sandy or dusty environment. If the zippers are not kept clean their life expectancy will decrease!

Clean the pegs, and replace damaged or lost ones. Check the poles for potential damage.

After your tent is dry and you have checked it completely, pack it into its stuff bag with the tent rolled around the pole bag (put the peg bag into the pole bag first).

Provided you have the room, you can hang the tent in a dry, cool place away from direct light instead of packing it into its bag.

Whenever possible, try and pitch your tent out of direct sunlight, since UV exposure damages all fabrics. On trips where shade from the sun is scarce and where you will leave your tent set up for several days – especially in the southern hemisphere, desert conditions or at very high altitude – it is advisable to erect a tarp or something similar over the tent to protect it from UV rays.

DE Pflegeanleitung Staika

Lagere Dein Zelt niemals ohne es vorher zu trocknen. Nach jedem Gebrauch sollte es zum Trocknen aufgehängt werden – am besten mit eingebautem Gestänge, damit Innen- und Außenzelt nicht aufeinander liegen.

Schüttle vor dem Trocknen und Einpacken allen Schmutz aus dem Innenzelt heraus. Entferne eventuelle Schmutzflecken mit lauwarmem Wasser. Kontrolliere Dein Zelt auf Schäden und repariere sie.

Überprüfe alle Reißverschlüsse und bürste sie vor allem nach Einsatz in sandigen und schmutzigen Verhältnissen sauber. Mangelnde Pflege der Reißverschlüsse verkürzt deren Lebensdauer!

Reinige die Heringe und ersetze verlorene oder beschädigte Heringe. Überprüfe das Gestänge auf Schäden.

Nach dem Trocknen und der Kontrolle des Zeltes kann alles wieder in die Packsäcke verstaut werden. Packe den Heringssack in den Gestängesack und rolle das Zelt um den Gestängesack. Falls genügend Platz an einem trockenen, lichtgeschützten und kühlen Ort vorhanden ist, hänge das Zelt besser auf, anstatt es im Packsack aufzubewahren.

Direkte, langfristige Sonneneinstrahlung – besonders auf der Südhalbkugel, unter wüstenähnlichen Bedingungen oder auf großer Höhe – beschädigt das Gewebe. Unter solchen Bedingungen ist es ratsam zum UV-Schutz ein Tarp oder ähnliches über dem Zelt zu errichten.
