Whatisinduction cooking?

Induction cooking constitutes radical change in the traditional form of heating, given that the heatis generated directly in the pan, keeping the cooking surface cold. Therefore, it has a number of advantages over other cooking methods:

Thekeepwarmfunctionissuitableformelting chocolateorbutterorkeepingfoodwarm. Thisonly workswithpotsandpanssuitableforusewith inductionhobs. Ifthe"keepwarm"functionisactivated, thehotplate automaticallychangestoitsminimumpowersetting tokeepcookwarewarm.

Touch symbol - and + simultaneously. The letter C appears in the visual display.

Howtodeactivateit

Touch symbol - or +. The C disappears in the visual display and the function will have been deactivated.

Powerboostfunction

Usethisfunctiontoheatupthecontentsofthepan fasterthanifyouusethemaximumpowerlevel(9). Thisfunctionallowsyoutoincreasethemaximum powerlevelofthehotplateinuse.

Alltheinductionhotplates(1 and 4) have a temperature control. (See illustration) The Powerboost function will always be available when the other induction hot plate is not switched on. Forexample, if you want to activate this function in hot plate 1, numbers should be switched off, and vice versa. If the zone referred to is not switched off, the letter P and the power level 9 in the hot plate indicator will flash; it will return to the maximum power level setting(9).

  2. When it is in this position press the + symbol for thezoneconcerned. The letter P will appear in the indicator. You have activated the function.

Automatictimelimiter

Ifahotplateisinconstantuseforalongtimewithout thesettingbeingchanged, theautomatictimelimiter willbeactivated.

The hot plate heating is interrupted.

AnFandan8flashalternatelyinthehotplate indicator.

The indicator goes out when you touch any control panel. Now you can reset the hot plate.

The time at which the timer restriction is activated depends on the heat setting (1 to 10 hours).

Cleanthehobaftereachuse. This prevents food from being burnt into the hobsurface.

Only use cleaning agents which are suitable for glass ceramic, e.g. CERACLEAN, cera-fix, Sidolfor ceran + steel.
