On the Tacklife PSFS1A belt sander, what you refer to as the roller is actually the sanding belt, which can be easily changed in a few steps.

Before you begin: Always unplug the sander from the electrical outlet before performing any work. This is an essential safety measure to avoid any risk of accidental startup of the device.

Removing the worn belt: Locate the tension lever on the device (see Fig. B in the manual). Rotate this lever completely outward to loosen the clamping device of the sanding belt. The sanding belt can then be easily removed from the device.

Installing the new belt: Take a new sanding belt suitable for your type of work (the PSFS1A sander comes with 13 belts of different grits: 80, 120, etc.). Place the new belt on the drive and idler rollers. Important: check that the direction of the arrows engraved inside the belt matches that indicated on the device casing. Incorrect installation direction could damage the belt.

Securing and checking: Close the tension lever by returning it to its original position to hold the belt in place. Plug the sander back in and run it for a few seconds without load to check that the belt is functioning correctly. If the belt does not track straight, you can manually adjust the tracking by turning the adjustment screw located on the front roller until the belt runs in the center.

Regularly changing your sanding belt, especially when it is worn or damaged, helps maintain optimal sanding performance and achieve better finishing results on your workpieces.
