The GARDENA Smart Gateway does not use a battery, but a wired power supply. This central element of your GARDENA Smart Home system must be permanently plugged into a standard 220V power outlet via the power adapter provided in the box.

1 LAN cable (for optional wired connection)

Power supply installation: Simply plug the power supply into a wall outlet, then connect the block's cable to the Gateway's output socket. The Gateway will then operate immediately and remain active as long as power is available. No battery is necessary or possible.

Since this device is intended to remain in place (centralized gateway of the system), the permanent mains power supply ensures continuous and uninterrupted operation. Individual devices in the system (such as sensors or sprinklers) may have batteries, but the Gateway must be plugged in.
