Frequently Asked Questions - 75071TA2 AcuRite

How do I set the time on my AcuRite 75071TA2 clock?
The clock automatically synchronizes with the atomic time signal (WWVB) once batteries are inserted. For manual setting, press the SET button to adjust time, date, and alarm. Refer to the user manual for detailed steps.
Why is my clock not receiving the atomic signal?
Place the clock near a window facing Colorado (for North America) to improve signal reception. Avoid metal structures and electronic interference. The signal is strongest at night. If still no reception, try repositioning or manually set the time.
How do I change the batteries in the clock?
Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock. Insert 2 AA batteries as indicated by polarity marks. Use alkaline batteries for best performance. Replace the cover.
How do I set the alarm?
Press the ALARM button to enter alarm mode. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired alarm time. Press ALARM again to confirm. The alarm icon will appear on the display.
What temperature range does the outdoor sensor support?
The outdoor wireless sensor measures temperatures from -40°F to 158°F (-40°C to 70°C). It transmits data to the clock within a range of up to 330 feet (100 meters) in open air.
How do I pair the outdoor sensor with the clock?
Insert batteries into the sensor and place it within 10 feet of the clock. Press the CHANNEL or SEARCH button on the clock to scan for the sensor. The outdoor temperature will appear once connected.
Why is the outdoor temperature not displaying?
Ensure the sensor is within range and batteries are fresh. Interference from walls or other wireless devices may disrupt the signal. Try moving the sensor closer or resetting both units by removing batteries for 10 seconds.
How do I mount the clock on a wall?
Use the keyhole slot on the back of the clock to hang it on a screw or nail. Ensure the wall mount is secure and level before hanging.
Is the backlight always on?
The backlight is activated by pressing the LIGHT button. Some models have an auto-dimming feature. To conserve battery, the backlight may not stay on continuously.
How do I clean the clock?
Wipe the display and housing with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not use chemical cleaners, as they may damage the finish. Avoid getting moisture into openings.
