• Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load and unload this appliance.

Daily use

- Do not put hot objects on the plastic parts in the appliance.

  • Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has been thawed out. ^1)
  • Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.
  • Appliance's manufacturer's storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. Refer to relevant instructions.
  • Do not place carbonated of fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure on the container, which may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to the appliance. ^1)
  • Ice lollies can cause frost burns if consumed straight from the appliance. ^1)
    • To avoid contamination of food, please respect the following instructions
  • Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the compartments of the appliance.
  • Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
  • Clean water tanks if they have not been used for 48h; flush the water system connected to a water supply if water has not been drawn for 5 days.
  • Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator, so that it is not in contact with or drip onto other food.
  • Two-star frozen-food compartments (if they are presented in the appliance) are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice-cream and making ice cubes.

  • One-, two- and three -star compartments (if they are presented in the appliance) are not suitable for the freezing of fresh food.

  • If the appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry and leave the door open to prevent mount developing within the appliance.

Care and cleaning

  • Before maintenance, switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
  • Do not clean the appliance with metal objects.
  • Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance. Use a plastic scraper. ^1)
  • Regularly examine the drain in the refrigerator for defrosted water. If necessary, clean the drain.
    If the drain is blocked, water will be collected in the bottom of the appliance. ^2)

Installation

Important! For electrical connection carefully follow the instructions given in specific paragraphs.

- Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages on it. Do not connect the appliance if it is damaged. Report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it. In that case retain packing.

  • It is advisable to wait at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor.

Tool required: Philips screwdriver, Flat bladed screwdriver, Hexagonal spanner.

  • Ensure the unit is unplugged and empty.
  • To take the door off, it is necessary to tilt the unit backwards. You should rest the unit on something solid so that it will not slip during the door reversing process.
  • All parts removed must be saved to do the reinstallation of the door.
  • Do not lay the unit flat as this may damage the coolant system.
  • It's better that 2 people handle the unit during assembly.

  • Remove the top right hinge cover.

  1. Place the door back on. Ensure the door is aligned horizontally and vertically so that the seals are closed on all sides before finally tightening the top hinge.

  2. Insert the hinge bracket and screw it to the top of the unit.

The symbol indicates the location of the coldest part of your refrigerator. This area is in between the vegetable drawer at the bottom and the symbol at the top, or the shelf at the same height. In order to maintain the temperature in this area, make sure not to change the position of this shelf.

- Using the temperature indicator, you should regularly check that the temperature is correct in the coldest part of your refrigerator. The temperature inside your refrigerator depends on a number of factors, such as the outside room temperature, how full your refrigerator is, and how often you open the door. Take these factors into consideration when adjusting your appliance.

When the indicator shows "OK", it means your thermostat is set properly and the temperature in coldest part is below +4 C.

If the indicator is white it means the temperature is high, so you should increase the thermostat and wait for 12 hours before checking the indicator again.

After loading the refrigerator or opening the door, the indicator may turn white for a few seconds.

First use

Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand new product, then dry thoroughly.

Important! Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.

Position different food in different compartments according to be below table

Fridge Compartment

  • Place spreadable butter and cheese on the top shelves or the small door shelf. It is warmest here.
  • Position bottles and drinks cartons in the bottle compartment in the door shelf. Position full containers closer to the hinge in order to reduce the strain on the door.
  • Place cooked or baked goods, fresh meat, game, poultry, bacon, sausage and raw fish at the bottom of the fridge. This is where the temperature is lowest.

  • To maintain the flavor and freshness of food in the fridge, only place packaged food in the fridge. Use special plastic containers for food or customary films.

  • Do not place food directly against the back wall. Otherwise it may freeze onto the rear wall.

- Step 1. pull the shelf to be free.

  • Milk bottles: these should have a cap and should be stored in the bottle rack on the door.
  • Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in the refrigerator.

Cleaning

For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly.

  1. Set the temperature controller to "0".
  2. Pull out the mains plug.

. Remove the chilled goods and place them in a cool room.
. Remove the wire rack and clean with tepid water with a little washing-up liquid. Dry all parts thoroughly.
. Wipe down the inside with warm water and washing-up liquid.

When wiping clean, add a few drops of vin-egar to the water to prevent mould from forming.

Wipe the interior dry and leave the door open a while to air.

. Clean the opening of the defrost water drain (6) using the cleaning rod (7).

  1. Clean the door seal with clean water only. It is sensitive to oil and grease.
  2. Replace the shelves and drawers, and refill with chilled goods.
  3. Plug the mains plug back in and turn the temperature controller (12) to the desired setting.

Caution! The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Danger of electrical shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse. Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in electrical components, danger of electrical shock! Hot vapors can lead to the damage of plastic parts. The appliance must be dry before it is placed back into service.

Important! Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g. lemon juice or the juice form orange peel, butyric acid, cleanser that contain acetic acid.

  • Do not allow such substances to come into contact the appliance parts.
  • Do not use any abrasive cleaners
  • Remove the food from the freezer. Store them in a cool place, well covered.
  • Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker of fuse.
  • Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry.
  • Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases energy consumption. For this reason carefully clean the condenser at the back of the appliance once a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner. ^1)
    • After everything is dry place appliance back into service.

Caution! Before troubleshooting, disconnect the power supply. Only a qualified electrician or competent person must do the troubleshooting that is not in this manual.

Important! There are some sounds during normal use (compressor, refrigerant circulation).

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. These warranty conditions apply exclusively to the original buyer and for domestic use of the appliance in the Netherlands. If the appliance is resold from user to user, the warranty becomes null and void.
  2. The warranty only applies if, in the event of a warranty claim, this warranty certificate with the original purchase invoice is shown by the original buyer.
  3. No guarantee shall apply to defects caused by: damage, rough or injudicious handling, negligence on the part of the user, use of the appliance at an incorrect voltage or use for a purpose other than that for which it was supplied. Nor can the warranty be invoked when the rating plate with serial number has been changed or removed and/or when the device has been worked on by unqualified persons.
  4. Not covered under the terms of this warranty: glass(ceramic), lighting, plastic/metal parts and/or accessories (i.e. filters, grills, pan supports), wire baskets and/or separation partitions, lacquer and/or enamel damage.
  5. The warranty period commences on the day of purchase and covers: A two-year guarantee on the entire device and its electrical parts such as thermostat, thermal protection, relay, ventilation fan, transformer, switch, etc. with the exception of all parts mentioned under 4.
  6. The warranty only covers the replacement of defective- or damaged parts in accordance with the stated responsibility in these warranty conditions.
  7. Call-out charges, labour costs, transport and/or packaging costs as well as the transportation risk (for equipment that can only be repaired in our service department) are not covered by the guarantee and will be charged to the user. Please also read the 'Service Terms' below in which, among other things, calculation of call-out charges and labour costs are specified. P.S. Repair costs must be paid directly in cash. If invoicing of the mechanic's costs is required, please take into account that additional administration costs will be charged.
  8. We are not responsible for any work- and/or repair costs carried out by third parties, not commissioned by by us. Nor are we, at any time, responsible for any (extra) costs and/or any consequences hereof, in any case, directly or indirectly resulting from a malfunction, defect or injudicious use of the device caused by a 3^rd party not deployed by Exquisit, its importer and/or suppliers.
  9. Replacement of parts does not extend the original warranty period.
  1. Do not use damaged appliances upon receipt, but report this immediately to your supplier. It is not possible to return damaged, used appliances!
  2. During the first 24 months after the date of purchase on the original invoice no costs will be charged for services which are covered by these applicable warranty terms and conditions.
  3. After a warranty period of two years, starting on the date of purchase on the original invoice, costs will be charged for:
    a. Call-out costs
    b. Labour costs
    c. All replaced parts

  4. In case of a visit to the customer all costs and materials used, must be paid directly in cash in accordance with the stipulations stated in point 7 in the Warranty Terms & Conditions and in points 2-4 in the Service Terms Exquisit, regardless of the nature of the work.

  5. Dispatch of any parts will always take place under the conditions of cash on delivery, C.O.D.
