Frequently Asked Questions - PF1112T INTERMATIC

How do I set the ON and OFF times on my PF1112T timer?
To set the ON time, push the white tripper to the outer position. For OFF time, push the black tripper to the outer position. Rotate the dial clockwise until the desired time aligns with the arrow on the tripper. Ensure the trippers are firmly locked in place.
Can the PF1112T be used with outdoor lighting?
This timer is rated for indoor use only. For outdoor applications, consider an Intermatic weatherproof timer model.
What is the minimum ON or OFF period I can set?
The minimum time between ON and OFF trippers is 30 minutes. You cannot set them closer than that.
How do I manually override the timer?
Use the manual toggle switch located on the front of the timer. Move it to ON to keep the load energized, OFF to de-energize, or TIMER to resume automatic scheduling.
What type of load can the PF1112T control?
It can control resistive loads up to 1800 W (15 A) and motor loads up to 1/2 HP at 120 VAC.
Does the timer have a backup battery?
No, the PF1112T is mechanical and does not contain a battery. It relies on the power grid to keep time. If power is lost, the timer will stop and need to be reset after power is restored.
How do I install the PF1112T in a wall box?
Connect the line (black) wire from the breaker to the black wire on the timer. Connect the load (red) wire to the other timer wire. Connect neutral (white) wires together. Ground (green/bare) to the box. Push the timer into the box and attach the cover plate.
Can I replace the trippers if lost or broken?
Yes, replacement trippers are available as spare part 156T1978A from Intermatic or authorized dealers.
Why is my timer not keeping correct time?
Ensure the dial is not binding. Check that the trippers are not interfering with rotation. Also, verify that the timer is receiving 120 VAC power consistently.
What is the warranty period for the PF1112T?
Intermatic warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase.
