How do I fill the water tank on the Khind EI405 iron?

Turn off and unplug the iron. Open the water tank cover, fill with clean tap water up to the MAX level, and close the cover securely. Do not overfill.

What does the steam boost function do?

The steam boost delivers an extra burst of steam to remove stubborn wrinkles. Press the steam boost button while ironing for a powerful shot of steam.

How do I use the spray function?

The spray function moistens fabrics before ironing. Press the spray button located on the handle to mist water directly onto the garment.

Why does my iron leak water?

Water leakage can occur if the anti-drip valve is blocked or if the temperature is too low. Ensure the iron is at the correct temperature for steam. If the problem persists, descale the iron.

How do I clean the soleplate?

Unplug and let the iron cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a paste of baking soda and water, then rinse. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

What is the self-clean function?

Fill the tank to MAX, set the iron to max temperature, and press the self-clean button. The iron will flush out mineral deposits through the soleplate. Perform this monthly.

How does auto shut-off work?

The iron turns off automatically if left unattended on its base (8 minutes) or if tipped over (30 seconds). A blinking light indicates auto shut-off is active.

Can I use the iron with distilled water?

Yes, distilled or demineralized water is recommended to reduce scale buildup. Do not use chemically softened or scented water.

1. Read the instruction manual carefully and follow the instruction closely.

18. Always disconnect the appliance from electrical outlet when not in use or before cleaning

19. The appliance must be used and rested on a flat stable surface.

20. Never put the appliance down on its soleplate during use. When placing the appliance on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Make sure the appliance has cooled down and unplugged from power supply before cleaning.
2. Starch and other residue may be easily removed from the soleplate with damp cloth.
3. Do not use abrasive, steel wool or metal implements to clean the soleplate.

Operation

Adjust the Temperature Control Dial to the preferred position according to fabric type

A. Setting the Temperature

Set the Temperature Control according to the international textile protection symbols (located on the Temperature control and washing label of the garment)

Rayon, Acrylic - Low Temperature

Silk, Wool - Medium Temperature

Cotton, Linen - High Temperature

B. Storage

1. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
2. Set the Temperature Control Dial to the lowest level.
3. If necessary, wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.
4. Store the appliance out of the reach of children and in a clean and dry place
