How do I install the Elba 2937/90 MC range hood?

Yes, the hood can be used in recirculation mode with an optional charcoal filter. This filter captures odors and needs replacement every 3-6 months depending on usage.

Why is my range hood making loud noise?

Check if the filters are clogged or if there is any obstruction in the duct. Also ensure the hood is properly mounted. If noise persists, contact service. Normal noise level is around 62 dB at maximum speed.

What should I do if the LED lights stop working?

LED lights are integrated and should be replaced by a professional. Contact Elba support for replacement parts or assistance.

How do I change the charcoal filter?

First, remove the grease filters. The charcoal filter is located behind them. Release the clips, remove the old filter, and install a new one. Then reassemble the grease filters. Replace every 3-6 months or as indicated.

What does the motor protection do?

The motor protection automatically switches off the hood if it overheats, preventing damage. If this happens, wait for the motor to cool down and ensure proper ventilation.

Can I use the hood without filters?

No, never operate the hood without filters. Grease filters protect the motor from grease buildup, and charcoal filters are needed for recirculation mode. Operating without filters may cause fire risk and damage the unit.

What is the recommended duct diameter?

The recommended duct diameter is 150 mm. Use smooth, rigid ducts for best airflow. Avoid sharp bends and long runs to maintain efficiency.

How can I improve the extraction performance?

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

5. If the power cord or plug in damaged, it must be replaced by the service centre or a qualified service technician to avoid hazard.
6. Before installation, check if the mains supply voltage is matched with the voltage stated on the rating plate of the hood.
7. There must be adequate air ventilation of the room when the cooker hood is used with the cooking appliances with burning gas or other fuels.
8. Ensure that the installation of exhaust complies with the standard of local building, gas and electrical authorities.
9. Do not ignite flames in the pans.
10. There is a risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with this instruction.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Please check the following before installation:

• Installation of hood must be carried out by an authorized or qualified technician.
- For optimum air extraction, avoid having too many windows surrounding the cooker hood which will cause air convection.
- Make sure the hood is in level after installation to avoid oil spill over from the oil cup collectors.
- The optimum height for the installation is between 650 to 750mm which measure from the bottom of the hood to the top of the hob.
- Remove all packaging materials from the cooker hood. Check if both sides of the cooker hood have a metal hook installed.

1) Loosen the screws on the metal hook but do not loosen completely. Allow the metal hook to move up and down slightly.
2) Using the metal hook provided, determine the height of the cooker hood to be installed on the wall. Mark the wall with two markers left and right then drill the hole at the size 1.4"
3) Plug the plastic anchor into the holes tightly. Fix the installation screws by leaving 5mm gap from the wall.
4) Hang the cooker hood to the installation screws of 5mm gap and tighten the screws firmly.
5) Plug in the wall plug and switch on the power.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on and off.
2. Press the Left and Right button to operate the fan blower. Press again to turn off.
3. Press the Light button to illuminate the LED lamp on/off.

(RRemarks: The Light function is independent from the ON/OFF button)

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• The hood must always be disconnected from the electricity supply before carrying out the maintenance.
• Clean the hood with damp cloth, hot water and mild detergent. Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the hood.
• Clean the oil cups when they are more than half filled to avoid the oil from spilling.
• Remove the oil cups, wash in hot soapy water, dry and fit back into the hood. Do not use the hood without the oil cup installed.
