How do I pair my Bluetooth device with the MD6920?

Slide the Function Selector to 'BT.' position. The BT indicator will blink. On your external device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'MD6920'. If prompted, enter pairing code '0000' or '1234'. Once paired, the BT indicator stops blinking.

Can I play music from my phone via aux cable?

Yes. Use a 3.5mm AUX cable (not included). Connect one end to your phone's headphone jack and the other to the LINE IN jack on the back of the unit. Then slide the Function Selector to any mode (CD, RADIO, or BT) to power on and play audio from your phone.

Why is there no sound on AM/FM radio?

Ensure the Function Selector is set to 'RADIO'. Check that the volume is not at minimum. Also, if an audio cable is inserted into the LINE IN jack, unplug it as it overrides the radio. Adjust the TUNING knob for the desired station.

How do I program tracks on CD?

In CD stop mode, press the P button. '01' will blink. Use the I◀◀ or ▶▶I buttons to select the desired track, then press P again to store it. Repeat until up to 20 tracks are programmed. Press ▶II to start program playback.

What type of batteries does the MD6920 use?

It requires six 'C' size batteries (not included). Insert them according to the polarity diagram in the battery compartment. The AC cord must be disconnected for battery operation.

How do I clean the CD or the unit?

Clean CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth from center to edge. Never use detergents or circular motions. For the unit, unplug it and wipe with a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

It is not recommended unless the batteries are specifically designed for the device. Follow battery manufacturer's directions. Do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries as they may overheat or rupture.

What should I do if the CD skips?

First, check if the disc is dirty or scratched. Clean the disc with a soft cloth. If skipping persists, try a different disc. Ensure the disc is loaded correctly with the label side up.

How do I activate repeat play?

During CD playback, press the ☐ button once to repeat the current track (REP indicator blinks). Press twice to repeat all tracks (REP indicator solid). Press repeatedly until the REP indicator turns off to cancel.

Is the MD6920 covered by warranty?

discharge product, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge product, connection to grounding electrodes and requirements for the grounding electrodes.

25) Note to CATV system installer

This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer's attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC that provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as practical.

NOTE: Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the unit has been damaged in any way such as the following: the power-supply cord or plug has been damaged, liquid has been spilled into the unit, the unit has been exposed to rain or moisture, the unit has been dropped or the unit does not operate normally.

PREPARATION FOR USE

POWER SOURCES

This portable audio system is designed to operate on either AC 120V \~; 60Hz house current or by SIX (6)"C" size batteries (not included). Attempting to operate this unit from any other power source may cause damage to the unit, which is not covered by your warranty.

AC OPERATION

Unwind the AC cord and extend it to its full length. Insert the small end of the AC cord into the AC socket on the rear of the unit. Insert the other end of the AC cord into any convenient AC 120V \~; 60Hz household outlet.

Please note that this unit is equipped with a polarized AC plug which has one blade wider than the other. This is a safety feature to reduce the likelihood of electric shock. This polarized AC plug will only fit in a polarized AC outlet. If you find that you cannot insert this plug into your outlet, you may have an obsolete non-polarized outlet. Please do not try to defeat this safety feature by using a non-polarized adapter or by filling the wider blade to make it fit into your outlet. If this plug does not fit into your outlet, you should contact a qualified licensed electrician to replace your obsolete outlet.

NOTE:

\~ When AC Cord is connected to the unit, the batteries power will be cut off automatically.
\~ If long period of time will not use the unit. Unplug the AC Cord from wall outlet.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

To use this unit with battery power, remove the battery door by pressing in on the tabs, then lifting it off. Insert six (6)"C"size batteries (not included) following the diagram in the compartment.

NOTE: The AC power cord must be disconnected from the AC socket on the rear of the unit in order for the unit to operate on battery power.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

Follow these precautions when using a battery in this device:

1 Use only the size and type of battery specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the battery to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge the battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer's directions.)
6. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Battery may explodes or leak.
7. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Caring for Compact Discs

• Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your fingers to come in contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the compact disc.
• Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc. to the compact disc label.
• Clean the compact disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth.

Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the compact disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.

• If a compact disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the compact disc, it is probably dirty or damaged (scratched).
• When cleaning the compact disc, wipe in straight lines from the centre of the compact disc to the outer edge of the compact disc. Never wipe in circular motions.

- This unit is designed to play only compact discs bearing the identification logo as shown here. Other discs may not conform to the CD standard and may not play properly.

• Compact Discs should be stored in their cases after each use to avoid damage.
• Do not expose compact discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperatures or dust, etc. Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures can warp the disc.
• Do not stick or write anything on either side of the disc. Sharp writing instruments, or the ink, may damage the surface.

Cleaning the Unit

• To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning.
- The finish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
- Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel.

OPERATION

BT (Bluetooth):

1. Slide the Function Selector to "BT." position to power on the unit and enter to BT (Bluetooth) mode. The "POWER" & "BT." indicator will illuminate and the "BT." indicator will blink.
2. Power on the external BT Device and enter to bluetooth search mode. Select unit once it appears on your available bluetooth devices, follow the on-screen instructions on your external BT device to complete pairing. Once paired, the "BT." Indicator will stop blinking. (For details pairing procedures, please refer to the user's manual of your BT Device.).

Notes:

• When the external BT player searches for the unit, model number "MD6920" will appear on the display of external BT device.
  ● Pairing code "0000" or "1234" may need to entered.

Normal operation after pairing:

1. Turn on the BT function of the external BT Device.
2. Power on the unit and enter to BT mode as previous procedures.
3. Wait a few seconds until the unit paired to the external BT Device automatically. (The "BT." Indictor stops blinking).
4. Plays music with the paired BT Device as usual.
5. Turn the "VOLUME" knob to adjust the volume level as desired.
6. When no longer in use, slide the Function Selector to "OFF" position to shut off the unit.

Note: Using the control buttons on the paired BT Device to pause; skip or search for audio files as usual.

Radio:

1. Slide the Function Selector to "RADIO" position to power on the unit and enter to radio FM mode. The "POWER" indicator will illuminate.
2. Turn the "VOLUME" knob to adjust the volume level as desired.
3. Turn the "TUNING" knob to search and play the desired FM station. or,

- Press the ■ - AM/FM button to enter to radio AM mode, the "AM" indicator will illuminate. (To resume to FM band, press the button again. The "AM" indicator will not light).

● Turn the "TUNING" knob to search and play the desired AM station.

1. When no longer in use, slide the Function Selector to "OFF" position to p shut off the unit.

Antennas:

This unit has a built in AM/FM antennas, which provides adequate reception in most areas. If reception is weak, turn or relocate the unit to improve the reception.

CD:

1. Open the CD door then place a CD disc on the center spindle, with the printed label side up.
2. Close the CD Door.

3. Slide the Function Selector to "CD" position to power on the unit and enter to CD mode. The "POWER" indicator will illuminate.

4. Wait a few seconds until the total number of tracks appears on the LCD Display.

5. Press the ▶II button to start playback, the “▶II” indicator will illuminate.
6. Turn the "VOLUME" knob to adjust the volume level as desired.
7. During playback:

A. Press the ▶II button to pause (the “▶II” indicator will blink); press again to resume normal playback (the “▶II” indicator will stop blinking).
B. Press the I◄◄ or ►►I buttons repeatedly to skip tracks backward or forward.
C. Press and hold the |◀◀ or ▶▶I buttons to fast searching the specific section backward or forward then release it to resume normal playback.

1. To stop CD playback, press the ■ button. The total number of tracks will appear on the display.
2. When no longer in use, slide the Function Selector to "OFF" position to shut off the unit.

Repeat Playback:

1. During playback, press the "☐" button once to activate the repeat one function. The "REP" indicator will illuminate and blink. The current track will playback repeatedly.
2. During playback, press the "☐" button twice to activate the repeat all function. The "REP" indicator will illuminate and stop blinking. All the tracks on the current disc (or program) will be playback repeatedly.
3. To cancel the repeat function, press the "☐" button repeatedly until the "REP" indicator not light.

Programmed Playback:

Up to 20 tracks can be programmed and played back as follows:

1. In CD STOP playback mode, press the P button, "01" will appear on the LCD Display and blink. ("PROG" indicator will also illuminate and blink too).
2. Select the first specific track to be programmed by pressing the I ◀◀ or ▶▶I buttons repeatedly.
3. Press the P button again to store the selected track into the memory.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all the specific tracks stored into the memory.
5. Press the ▶II button to start program playback. The "PROG" indicator will stop blinking.
6. To stop, press the ■ button.
7. To cancel the program, press the ■ button again in stop mode. The "PROG" indicator will turn off.

LINE IN:

1. Connect the external Audio Device with a 3.5mm AUX cable. (Cable not included).
2. Insert one end to the Phone; Line Out or AUX Out Jack on the external Audio Device.
3. Insert the other end to the LINE IN jack on the rear of unit.
4. Slide the Function Selector to "CD"; "RADIO" or "BT." position to power on the unit. The "POWER" indicator will illuminate.
5. Play the music on the connected external audio device as usual.
6. Turn the "VOLUME" knob to adjust the volume level as desired.
7. When no longer in use, slide the Function Selector to "OFF" position to shut off the unit.

Note:

If the audio connection cable was insert into the LINE IN jack, only the sound from the connected external Audio Player can be plays. Unplug it from the LINE IN jack before plays Radio; CD or BT..

TROUBLESHOOTING
