Frequently Asked Questions - KAWFLWASM8A Kogan

How do I clean the filter on my Kogan KAWFLWASM8A?
To clean the filter, locate the small door at the bottom front of the machine. Open it, turn the filter knob counterclockwise and pull it out. Remove lint or debris, rinse under running water, and reinsert. It is recommended every 30 washes.
What should I do if the washing machine does not start?
Check if the machine is plugged in and the water supply is open. Ensure the door is fully closed. Also, verify that the child lock is not enabled. If still not starting, try resetting by unplugging for 1 minute.
Can I use the Kogan KAWFLWASM8A with an extension cord?
It is not recommended to use an extension cord as it may cause voltage drop or fire hazard. Plug the machine directly into a grounded wall outlet rated for 10A.
How do I activate the steam function?
Select the Steam program from the control panel. The machine will automatically add steam to reduce wrinkles and sanitize fabrics. Some cycles may have an optional steam boost.
What is the maximum spin speed?
The maximum spin speed is 1200 rpm. You can adjust it lower depending on the fabric type using the spin speed button.
How much detergent should I use?
Use high-efficiency (HE) detergent and follow the dosage on the detergent package. For an 8 kg load, typically 20-30 mL of liquid detergent is sufficient. Overuse may cause excessive suds and poor rinsing.
My washing machine is vibrating excessively. What can I do?
Ensure the machine is level and all four feet are firmly on the ground. Adjust the levelling feet if needed. Also, check that the shipping bolts have been removed (if present). Distribute laundry evenly inside the drum.
Can I wash wool or delicate items in this machine?
Yes, the machine has a Wool/Hand Wash program with gentle tumbling and low spin. Use a laundry bag for very delicate items.
How do I perform a self-cleaning cycle?
The Kogan KAWFLWASM8A has a Drum Clean program. Simply select it and run it without clothes. You can also add a drum cleaning tablet or chlorine-free bleach for deep cleaning.
The display shows an error code 'E10'. What does it mean?
Error code E10 usually indicates a water supply problem. Check that the water taps are fully open and the inlet hose is not kinked. Also, clean the inlet filter at the back of the machine.
