How to turn on and off the OPTOMA X501 projector?

Press the Power button on the control panel or remote control. To turn off, press the Power button twice. The LED indicator flashes then turns off.

What is the native resolution of the X501 projector?

The native resolution is XGA (1024 x 768). It supports resolutions up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200).

How to adjust image sharpness?

Turn the focus ring on the lens until the image is sharp. Also use the zoom ring to resize.

The projector displays a distorted image, what to do?

Use the keystone correction (menu or Keystone button) to straighten the image horizontally or vertically. Also adjust the projection angle if necessary.

How to connect a computer to the projector?

Connect the VGA or HDMI cable from the computer to the corresponding input on the projector. Then select the appropriate source via the Source menu.

What does the flashing LED indicator mean?

A flashing TEMP indicator indicates overheating; a flashing LAMP indicator signals a lamp problem. Refer to the manual for detailed codes.

How to replace the projector lamp?

Turn off the projector and unplug it. Leave it to cool for 45 minutes. Open the lamp compartment, remove the old lamp and install the new one. Reset the lamp counter in the menu.

Can the projector be used without the remote control?

Yes, all settings are accessible via the control panel on top of the projector. The remote control is optional.

How to clean the air filter?

Turn off the projector and unplug it. Remove the air filter, clean it with a vacuum cleaner or warm soapy water. Dry it completely before reinstalling.
